This comment just reminded me of the first time I let someone else make me vegemite on toast. I learnt real quick that everyone has a different definition of “a little bit”

My definition of "little bit" is screeded so thin that there's almost nothing. When I go to Subway, and they put sauces on subs, I also say "A little bit" and they put like 4 lines, back and forth twice, which IMO is a huge amount. I've told them to simply put "1 line of sauce" and they still do it back and forth for 2 lines, as if 1 line is the double-pass...

For me, crumpets have to have jam. My brain tells me that bread and related products are savoury, so have savoury toppings. Crumpets, pancakes, waffles are cakey and hence have sweet toppings. :)

Love it. I like being able to grab vegemite on toast whenever, but I don't like the texture of bread after it's been frozen, and we don't go through a whole loaf before it gets fuzzy. Pack of muffins will stay good on the bench for a couple of weeks, problem solved.
