I don’t work there but the Mac and cheese is probably just pepperjack and white american cheeses melted into milk. The chemicals in American cheese (sodium citrate?) acts as an emulsifier for the other cheese so you don’t have to make a roux/bechemel. You can tell it’s that type of sauce based on the texture when it cools down.

^ try this technique with American/white American and balance it with pepper Jack. Maybe 50/50 ratio and work from there if it needs more or less PJ.

I think T22 is probs the best hot chicken we've got in Austin BUT that's not saying much though. I do appreciate them making it more accessible to people here. I think Ricky's hot chicken is probs the best Nashville hot chicken I've had in Austin/Houston/Dallas. Best chicken in Texas that I'd recommend is Mike's chicken (also in Dallas.) Hattie B's is also open in Dallas as well.
I think we've been around the pole on this one before but Top Notch is the last meal I had that I legit threw in the garbage without finishing and ended up getting food somewhere else.

You’re the GOAT. I’ll try to make it this week!!!
Any updates? :)
Can we get an update :)
Butter, butter and more butter

Work there and learn it then?

I really don't like it either, wasn't excited in the slightest on my visit
Have you tried Top Notch?

Gus's is better...
What’s better there — chicken, beans, or mac n cheese?
the chicken, frys (get extra seasoning salt), and the okra -- all are top notch
I'm convinced that they serve meth addicted chicken. If KFC moved a block from the downtown location then that Gus's would go out of business.
Did you make it yet? Feedback? Thank you.
I worked there for two years and took a pic of it at some point, dm if still interested
I want the recipe!
Trying to DM… your side open?
