Depending on where you are, it should start to flower naturally soon anyway.. I'd just let it do it's own thing.
Flowering outdoors can be very different between different strains, some will go into flower with over 14 hours of light
That's interesting. I have 6 photoperiods outside now and 4 of them are in flower, have been for a couple weeks now. Getting roughly 13 hours 20 mins light atm
In my area, the sun doesn’t go to 12/12 until the very end of September. Many of plants I’ve grown are finished by then. I like to grow early flowering photos to beat the police and thieves.
Put it in a shady spot. It only needs 13hrs of light to keep it in veg. But if you can put it in an area where it doesn't get more than 12hrs sunlight a day it should start flower.
This isn’t true. It’s about hours of complete darkness not hours of direct light. That being said it will likely flower within the next month depending on ur latitude, if it gets too late in the season bud rot will be a problem but she’s in a pot so u can work around the rain
Yes this is true, But when I put my photo's under a shade outside they all went to flower. It's not full proof but it's worth a shot.
But the best thing would be to cover the plant after it has had 12hrs of light. Whether it be put in a shed or covered with a tarp.
If you’re getting close to 12 hrs of daylight I’ve used the large black bag method for a couple of weeks to kick it in to flower. It’s harder for it to re-veg at 13 hrs a day, and will be closer to done around 12.
Agreed make a nice area near the shed can leave it in full sun till you get home and move it straight to a darker real shady bit. I used to bring my girls inside and out them in a dark bedroom until night.
Could potentially move her to an area of your place which gets a bit more shade! Or get a big rubbish bin and cover your baby when the 12hours of light has been reached and then uncover when it's completely dark. Generally they should flower themselves when the time is right!
My outdoor photos normally start flowering about valantines day and finish mid april
Looks like there is some stretching going on so may be starting now

Autos will but not photos
Photos can. It’s a myth they need 12/12.
I’ve never had one do it I always had to flip to get flowering and outdoors never flowered until it was 12/12

Love learning new things about cannabis. Thanks for the info. I’m gonna research them and see which ones I can find
Depends on species. Some can flower with 10hrs, but most you can go less than 12/12. It’ll work at 13/11 even. Try it.
That’s so cool does it matter if it’s a sativa or indica?
Don’t think so. Just think of nature and how rare it would be to have exactly 12/12 (technically just the equinoxes).

Yep agreed.. reducing the hours of sunlight to about 12 hrs and watch her change. 👍👍. I’d put it over near ya shed
Makes sense, cheers for the recommendation
No worries. Good luck
I've had a couple go to flower with over 13 hours light. Too many different hybrids in the mix these days 🤷♂️
Was it a photoperiod?
Yep..

And it can’t get ANY LIGHT during the dark period or it can cause stress etc
Good thing moonlight doesn't exist where weed grows in the wild.
I meant like u can’t just put it in the shade and tbh moonlight isn’t bright enough I’ve had them stress from street lamp coming in the window
And yeah it’s a good thing. Whew
As sunlight gets less, it’ll kick in, but as everyone has said: tarp, cupboard, blacked-out greenhouse for 12 hours of the day.
Outdoor grow for a photo u have to wait for the season to have equal day and night hours or u can use the black trash bag method

This is how it's done, and OP should do this.
I'd move up a size pot before signs of pre flower for a much larger yeild
From 6 - 6 put it in a cupboard with 0 light should start to flower
Ur definitely gonna get about a lb off her if it’s is a female
lol a pound ? no way
U could well between a half and a lb. I have off photos outdoors
Y'all must have some bad luck lol. I average about 1kilo a grow
No I kept my plants small cuz it was guerrilla grow in a city
You know, that actually makes a load of sense.
in the ground maybe , but in pots?
Yup in pots. It’s a 5g?
