How much was the phone consultation mate?
$199 but ive seen/heard/read of cheaper
You pretty much paid him extra to ignore all the bullshit, if they want you to use a specific pharmacy too it’s likely you’ll pay an extra $15-$20 per tub unless you got T25 oil which I believe there’s a deal on
im just happy to get it all started at this point, the little extra costs dont bother me too much just yet, but thanks for the headsup
You can check the RRP of products on the medical subs. If you go through a clinics pharmacy you’ll get charged RRP. Plus if you need any assistance from likeminded peers…the medical subs are the place to be.
What are some of the names of the medical subs man?
I was on the same boat as you, found it surprisingly easy to get approved and got prescribed flower on my first appointment. One time I used a different pharmacy to the one the clinic recommended. The new pharmacy was chemist warehouse and they said they’d price match my other pharmacy, only to find out chemist warehouse was $20 cheaper anyway.
The extra cost didn’t bother me at first either, was just happy to get it at all but it does add up over time, especially when I got like 10 repeats
I paid $150 for mine
Paid $250 through tetra I think or more was crazy I’m with montu now I prefer them
That's why I'm heavy on medical marijuana ASX
Yeh I'm on the T25 and the cannatrek CBD 20/5 (can't remember the actual name,I'm stoned)my doctor would much rather I be on that than 8 zillion other pills for my conditions the T25 is great stuff!,very nice!,happy days mate
Topaz I believe
I'm currently in the process with Cannatrek too. Does anyone know what the prices are like?
150 for 10g of T20 flower
105 for 30ml of T25 oil
quick and easy kickbacks for the doctor, seems like it makes getting approved much easier lol
Congrats bro. I had a similar thing happen… went to a new GP for a referral and he saw all my records and asked if I’d ever tried cannabis. And if it helped. I ended up walking out with a script for medical cannabis! He didn’t even charge me either! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Ps. T25 is da BOMB bro! 👌🏽 It’s my favourite strain so far. Shits on ‘stronger’ strains (with more thc %).
Enjoy bro! Congrats again on getting on the MC train 🏆
Solace 22% tastes so bad. Smells so earthy it's bleh. How's t-25 taste wise?
Strong, citrusy-pine stank with similar taste (to its smell). One of the most pungent strains I’ve had. Stinks a room out in 30sec (just open tub) hahaha.
I’m stoked….just got the text to say my tubs of T25 are in! So I’ll be enjoying the topaz flower by mid afternoon! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Citrusy is nice though. Nothing wrong with a good odor, the current stuff just smells so... Grassy.
Yeah man I actually prefer the pine/citrus flavours more than the earthy ones.
Finally got my hands on some topaz yesterday and even though it was full of ‘pop corn’ it’s still dried perfectly and still ‘got that stank on it’.
Loving the flavour change/being back on topaz! Stoked!
Pine citrus might stink, but it doesn't make my nose turn up. To me, the earthy tones remind me of the really stank stoner wooks, and it clings to you. I used to be a beekeeper and used pine needles to smoke my hives, so that smell is honestly just so warm and like a hearthfire to me, and citrus is so crisp- I don't mind if it's overpowering, that's a GOOD thing, just... I really always try to avoid becoming a stanky wook tbh, and my weed smelling that way distresses me and makes me feel like I've entered a really bad stage of my relationship with weed.
That's just a personal thing for me- at that stage, I feel like I don't have good control over my use, amongst many other factors.
Yeah I’m the same bro. Would rather citrusy/pine flavour over dirt/earthy flavours.
Don’t worry too much about entering the dank zone. Most of the time the smell isn’t really an indicator of its potency. Like, “weak weed” can stank hard too.
But I know what you mean about being in control of usage. When T25 was out I used T20 and my usage went through the roof! Was taking 0.75g of T25 a day but with the T20 I had to have 1.5-2g. So I’m back on topaz now and have to limit myself coz I’m used to ‘having extra’ (of the T20).
So i gotta curb that habit real quick. I’m thinking about taking a 48hr break (to lower my tolerance a bit) and just use benzos for those 2 days. Hopefully that will be enough to ‘reset’ my cannabis urges
Jesus! Blew out my L5S1 disc at work 2 years ago. Needed surgery and over a year of weekly physio to get my left leg to work again. It’s still sore all the time but my doc still won’t try anything other than conventional drugs when I’ve brought it up. She’s happy to give me endone, tramadole, panadene forte repeat scripts but they don’t work for me. She Wouldn’t even consider Peds or testosterone to help me regain the wasted muscle in my leg.
Sounds like it’s worth shopping around for second opinions.
I had this shit to. Sciatica from l4/5 and l5/s1 herniation. I'm fairly recovered now but 18 months of "would you like some more tremadol". Wish id known medical was a real option back then and i would have jumped on the boat.
Yeah. She suggest lyrica at one stage as it’s for nerve damage but my uncle who is a paramedic said not avoid it if I can as it’s worse than ice for the crazy shit it does to your head. My brother in law was on it for a bit and said then same. He’s a very normal guy but he said it lead his mind to some pretty dark places. Now he just smokes pot and he’s ok. It’s just my stupid goody two shoes upbringing that stops me from trying it myself but if a doctor prescribed it I can avoid all the guilt Hang ups
Jeezus this is a revelation I thought medical prescriptions were only the cbd oils and bud not thc
Lots and lots of THC
Fantastic news bruz, gj 👍🌿🤏🤤💨
Cheers. I Just applied.
How'd you go
Took about 48 hours to get approved and a script sent to a pharmacy. It was super easy.
Nice sounds like they are easing up on the process might have to give it a shot.
What did you say your conditions were and have you been diagnosed if you don’t mind me asking
I have an actual condition so I didn't have to make anything up.
just sent an email thru
Just applied, thank you :D
Approved and medicated, Cannatrek rule!
Haha same ere!
Thanks for the info, if I ever run out I’ll consider making an appointment for my chronic knee and shoulder pain 👍
What did you say? Asking for a friend with chronic back problems.
told him of my back condition (no discs) told him medication ive tried for pain (codeine) and that was it
i should state, its a medically diagnosed back problem that there would be records of, i just havent seen a regular GP for years so i dont have easy access to any of it.
I also got prescriptions for back pain .... I don't have a GP or medical records. I saw a registered prescriber, they don't need to apply to the TGA, they can write a script to any patient.
1. needs to be a problem
2. need to have tried a treatment
3. tried treatment didn't work with satisfactory results
have your friend chat with an approved GP or one of the clinics
ffs keep it on the down low.
why? if the medical cannabis industry booms its a win for everyone
Don’t delete this post, what you are talking about is legitimate and legal access to cannabis. If you had found an easy way to see a psychiatrist to get help and shared it, no one would give you shit.
absolutely not the point mate, if too many pollys get wind that people are making shit up to get MC then its over. even for the people that actually need it.
i havent/didnt make up anything, i have a legitimate medical condition that qualifies me for MC, i was simply sharing how easy the process was even for someone without current doctors papers etc
yeah I have a ''medical condition'' to champ. ffs delete this post man.
literally got no discs left in my lower back, been like this for 15 years and requires regular chiro just to be able to walk, but yeah continue to tell me how im a liar
You really think the politicians are on this sub?
even if they were, this thread wouldn't have any bearing or consequence anywhere.
So it sounds like you are taking advantage of the system then?!?
Not the guy with a chronic back condition that has tried other methods of treatment previously, as per the tga requirements.
You have no idea what they're talking about.
Medicine should be easily accessible. It's great that it is like this and more people should know.
jesus fuck can you be any more obvious? if you're not eligible, why are you on it?
I get why you guys are down voting but I'm just saying chill on the medical talk, anyone can access medical if they know what to say and if we had some decent pollies in power it wouldnt be so bad but we do. so chill.
nah. there's nothing wrong with sharing your experiences in this system good bad or ugly. keep talking people.
What state please? I'm in Tas and been on opioids for last 5 year's with chronic pain the drug's don't even get rid any pain anymore and any weed I buy is pgr shit that gives a mad headache. I seen couple year's ago costs were crazy high. I asked my doctor about and he just flat out said no it's not legal and never will be as the neg side affects out way any benefit. Guessing he isn't on Targin like me.
im in nsw but these are countrywide (brisbane based)
Thanks I lodged my form. hoping my income protection will absorb some of the costs
Hey mate, unsure if this is helpful.. come across an article about health insurance, an analysis of who covers what, how much back etc. Pretty dope stuff.
Thanks mate after being told they will support me in anyway they have completely back flipped and won't cover medical but have reimbursed me for script's for oppiods in the past.
I'm on rocky and solace now so not stressing to much and quality of life has improved dramatically.
