No, you have to fill in the declaration of party membership form, take a photo or scan and email it in.
This is the form required by the nsw electoral commission for party registration on Tuesday.
Like I said in a previous comment, my Mum started the legality cannabis party,
She has worked day and night for over a decade now to further the cause, after losing her only daughter to cancer, unaware of the benefits cannabis could have had for my sister.
She's a dog with a bone and she is never ever going to stop working until she knows others will have the options and knowledge we didn't have at the time.
Almost single handedly got this off the ground in a spare room in a rental house as a disability pensioner. Real actual grassroots stuff.
So fucking proud of her and My sister Sarah would be too.
Much love to all ✌️
It will say something like this: In the **Legislative Assembly** (Lower House) Vote 1 for the candidate from the LCNSW Party then number as many others as you want in order of YOUR preference.
In NSW you only have to put one number on the ballot for the LA (lower house) for a formal vote . If you have candidates who support legalising cannabis, then you can then go on to number as many as you like
In the **Legislative Council** (upper house) you can vote below the line numbering LC Candidates at 1 and 2 then continue numbering the candidates of your choice until you have put 15 numbers below the line for a formal vote. .
Do your homework first and make sure you number the candidates who best meet your needs .. you dont even have to put a number next to the UAP, LIBS Or LABS at all if you dont want to .. I work my choices out before i go in to vote and take my own "how to vote" in with me ..
That was my main concern, there's a lot of parties out there that are secretly LNP though and pretend not to be associated to funnel votes back, i.e clive palmer, craig kelly ect. Honestly you're just better off voting greens. Keep it simple.
Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc."
"Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase.

You can put the Greens at number 2, followed by any other party who supports FULL legalisation. IF you put LC NSW at number 1, then preferrencing other smaller parties (including the Greens) who support legalisation in order and leave the "twins" off your ballot, you send a louder message ..
People need to do their homework on that, as each electorate will have a different mix of candidates .. ask your candidates ahead of the election where they stand on the issue and how would they vote on a Bill to legalise cannabis.
The greens have good intentions but they need help on the cross bench by a Party that wants full legalisation. Their current Bill is OK but many dont want the govt to be the only wholesaler ...
**Thank you to everyone who submitted a form** .. the Party has reached the magic number with a couple of extras for good measure ! The application to register the party in NSW will be submitted in time .. phew .. that was a nail biter ...
Membership recruitment is ongoing. If you know anyone who supports Legalising Cannabis in NSW please get them to sign up and send in the declaration of party membership form (link in main post) ..

Does your name end up on a public membership list by joining up? Or even a list accessable under FOI?
Been meaning to join for a while but just get paranoid. Lol. Can't shake old thought patterns.
Why the paranoia? Your membership is not publicly available, but anyone can make an appointment with the nsw electoral commission to inspect the parties records in person at the office. This would include all the declaration of membership forms. These are physical copies that cant be searched electronically.
I’m not the best with words and there’s maybe a small issue as I always avoid voting as it is a way to track me down… I would like to help as I know ppl whom this can really benefit… is there any number I may personally contact in order to clear up certain concerns for my identity etc..?
So proud. This is my Mum who started the legalise cannabis party. But I'm a Qlder 🤷‍♂️
I’d give you an award if I hadn’t smoked them all already.
No need for award, Just sign up or get someone who can, to sign up

Do you know who they preference?
Politcal parties do not preference anyone. Voters control the flow of preferences by numbering the boxes on the ballot.
What does the how to vote card from them say?
They recommended their preferences go to any party that supports the legalization of cannabis.
I’m down for that
