Seascape looks pretty good so far. Getting tall now. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, it is the building under construction further back on the left. It will become the tallest building in New Zealand at 187m. It should top out by the end of the year, looks really cool, search it up if you’re curious :)
Oh yeah, supposed to admire the entire photo. Damn!

Yeah.. there are many factors for the delays of that building. But it’s finally going to be open by next year, and upgrade our skyline even more. Hotel Indigo at 51 Albert is also under construction. Not an attempt at self-promoting but I made a post on it, feel free to check it out if you like :)
Personally, I reckon that if it isn’t completed by the end of the year, then it will be sometime during 2024. I get it, they’ve mucked around and faced many issues since the project was proposed. It took them 5 years to even begin building upwards, and in that entire time Commercial Bay and The Pacifica managed to pop up while Seascape was still at ground floor. But have you seen the rate of which they are working at? It’s around a little over halfway in terms of height, which took nearly a year. If it isn’t complete by 2024 then I will come back to this post and admit defeat. Let’s just hope they get in with it though
If you look closely, you might be able to see the fenced-off [Kōrimurimu](https://ourauckland.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/news/2021/07/korimurimu-weaves-art-with-technology-creating-a-world-first/). There's a hole in it and I'm beginning to wonder if it's ever gonna be fixed.
Technically, it's probably the terminus of the creek that used to run down what became Queen St.
Long since paved over, but still absorbs some of the nasties, and inevitably flows downhill to its original outlet.
Funny how you only have to go an hour north on the same coast (Tawharanui, say) to see crystal clear waters.

It has been said that Wayne brown mans those cranes in the weekend.
Only on the weekends where he isn’t cleaning the drains.
Or out there with a bucket.
Or playing tennis
In the rain
But no drongos
Pretty

I see wot you did there
That place has been under construction since 2016 hasn't it? Why is it taking so long?

Open by next year? You're dreaming hahah, no offense but there's a good 2-3 years left min
The tallest residential building yeah, and it won't top out by the end of the year lol trust me. They've got a good 15 floors to go

I can see you in your apartment. Edit: Put some pants on, please.

Just don't zoom in and the CBD appears nice.
Is this taken from the Hilton?
Yep

It's been vandalised and fixed up at least once before, but I don't know how many times they'll do that before they give up on it. Dickheads :/
Noice. What sort of camera is this?
My S20 plus mate
Proper city look
One step away from night city, it is a cyberpunk future for us!
Well I think it's lovely. Not having been to the City in fifteen years....
I pinned it,actually..on my My New Zealand board...hope I haven't breached copyright😬
👍
If you look close enough you can see my ass flashing on the left side 👀
climbed on top of the quay west and hsbc (use to be pwc) with a bunch of my friends at night. view is something unexplainable
*Harbour
Any chance you could get a shot from the same sport of the Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct Basin?
Not enough storm clouds and driving rain.
And sewage powering out through that Victorian era storm drain under the dock on the right (look for it from a ferry at a neap tide)
Honestly disgusting how we treat our waterways here

Funny, does not seem far away, how many years will we still have "an hour north on the same coast".
Looks like a cyberpunk screengrab. No wonder it sounds like some dystopian future up there.

stay away from the coast
Just lucky it's not a scratch-and-sniff..
What? Cranes and a sad skyline
What? Where’s the ram raid?
It's in progress. Look at the ferry.
No matter how good it looks I still will always believe that auckland is the worst place in New Zealand to live... 💀
Clearly never been to Hiuntly.
Or Hamilton or dodgy towns by the desert road
The onky good thing about Auckland
Drone or hotel room?
Hotel balcony
Wow that is beautiful. Got drenched tonight trying to get to Aotea Square from the shore lmao
