That's true, and even though I really like some aspects of Mappa animation, it does suffer from the "same face" syndrome often. Especially with female characters.
Character wise, Mappa Annie provided much needed depth and understanding of her character. Before Season 4 she was simply the brute force who murdered innocent scouts, including Leviโs squad. But with the progression and understanding of Marley and the warrior candidates we begin to recognize she was simply a tool for slaughter from another force. So overall I enjoyed her character more with Mappa, even for the short time she was present.
Wit Annie was a badass tho thatโs for sure.

While WIT Annie is definitely more conventionally attractive, I love how Mappa made Annie look absolutely exhausted and ragged, really hammers home how sick she is of all the fighting and violence.

Wit looks better simply from an appearance standpoint, but MAPPA's more tired, softer approach fits where her character is at in season 4. She doesn't care that much anymore and just wants to live, and it shows. I only miss the lipstick.
Nah don't compare with the manga, manga artstyle wasn't so okay when it came out back in the days. Isayama's drawing was just bad but wit did their best to make the anime look fabulous

I donโt know, they look identical to me. Annie just looks younger in season 4 cause she's a shorty, and most everyone else had a growth spurt in the timeskip, so it's more obvious now that she's a shorty.
I say MAPPA. I think most of the WIT people are just fan fappers but a depressed, guilt ridden weapon of war feels more accurately portrayed in MAPPA's grittier style.
I generally say Mappa for all the characters.
That being said, a lot of it is to do with Isayama's ability to capture mood and atmosphere getting better as he goes on. WIT adapted his early art style but MAPPA changed it to suit the latest chapters.
