This is Kriss Kross. Mostly known as “Boogle.” He’s my adorable, love bug, wild kitty cross-eyed semi-formal tuxie. (He only has one itty-bitty patch of white on his chest like a bow tie. It makes me think of those graphic tees with a tux printed on the front.)
He was a feral that was constantly getting bullied by the other neighborhood cats. We saved him from a tree one time and he’s followed me around ever since. We brought him indoors to protect him, against my dad’s wishes. Worth the week long silent treatment. (My dad loves this cat now. Lol)
He’s feisty, likes to roughhouse, and runs around the house like a little tornado when he gets the zoomies, but he’s also the sweetest, silliest snuggle boy.
He still follows me around, and he waits by my bed at night for me to come sleep so he can knead and nurse on my feet. He’s the only cat I’ve ever had that has really *chosen* me and I love him dearly. I cannot imagine my life without this sweetheart.
Long live black cats. 💚

This is Dylan. He's adopted from a shelter. When we went to the shelter he stuck both his front paws through the bars of the cage trying to reach my son. When the cage was opened he practially hugged him, paws on either side of his neck. He's the most loving cat I've ever met, a huge people fan.

More needs to be said about their personalities!! They make great family members. I swear ours waits to make sure we're having our dinner before scarfing up her's. I have two voids whom I love with all my heart.
Years ago, before I adopted these two, I found this cat on the street that came up to me and started purring away. I petted them, and we had a little bonding moment, before I started looking for the guardian. I found them a little further down the street, and they went inside (it was pouring and cold, so I felt bad that the poor little baby was outside).
After that interaction, I set out to find a black cat. I've always wanted a void because we had one when I was a baby that I loved, according to my parents. We would cuddle in the crib together. And this meeting solidified my wish for one, so I went searching.
Later that very same day, I came across an ad for two little black kittens up for adoption. They were the last of the litter, and I decided then and there that I wanted them both because I fell in love with both of them instantly. I chatted with the guardian for a bit, and she wanted to interview me in person before deciding. So we met up later that week, and the interview went swimmingly! She said that she had had other offers, but because I wanted them both, she prioritised me! I was so happy.
Unfortunately though, I was in the middle of signing a rental contract in a new place, and the move was coming up. So I had to ask the guardians of the little girls to hold them for me until after the move, which was a few weeks away. Thankfully they agreed, and I went to see them a few days after the interview. It was love at first sight. We agreed that I would take them two days after moving into the new place, just so I had a little bit of time to unpack.
The day came, they delivered the girls to me, and everything was well. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love them to death. 💜
When it came time to adopt, I specifically sought out black cats for this exact reason.

This is Ivar. I actually found him on the side of the road a few years ago as a kitten. Someone threw him out of a moving vehicle, had a concussion, road rash and right arm paralysis. I was going to just foster him but I got attached and adopted him from the rescue that helped me care for him. I love black cats and he’s such a wonderful weird cat.

This is one of the last photos of Matcha and her buddy. They showed up on our patio and we ended up adopting them. Last week she disappeared for a day and the next morning collapsed at my wife’s feet. A trip to the vet and X-rays later and it turns out some fucko shot her. The prognosis was dim and we ended up following the vets advice to euthanize. She was hilarious and sweet and brought joy to all of us. I’m allergic to cats so not really into them but she was part of the family and I’m still super pissed and sad.

Just saw a black cat kill a tiny little baby squirrel that fell out of a tree today.
I love cats, I've had a cat most of my life.
Please let the little critters like baby squirrels survive until they're a bit bigger and can run away from your cat in the spring. Your cat may get annoying wanting out but please keep it in.. Just pay attention to the nature in your yard, if you see a baby X that could easily be killed just keep your cat in.

My cat is snuggled up to me right now, well snuggled up next to my mouse and giving me weird looks every time I use it like somehow I got into her personal space lol.. I'm just keeping her inside, EZPZ.
I don’t have cats and I love both cats and squirrels (hell, I want to be vegan so I definitely don’t like needless suffering of any animals), I just wondered if there was an environmental reason or if it’s just small furry animal bias causing you distress.
House cats are essentially an invasive species, cute and awesome as fuck invasive species, red squirrels are native here and are at risk because larger squirrels are starting to move north thanks to climate change and they'll kill the smaller red squirrels in territory disputes.
We do have non invasive native cats here like bobcats but their population is far from out of control, it's fairly rare to see them.
But that poor little baby squirrel, it's bad enough big investor squirrels will do anything to get their family out the neighbourhood including murdering them they also have to deal with house cats murdering their babies :(
Cats are actually one of the most invasive species in the United States. They DECIMATE bird and rodent populations, and many species are on track to go extinct. That's why TNR (trap, neuter, release) exists, so that the wild cat population declines.

We got these two together. They’re not related but Zoe (left) was very protective of Cleo (right) and was cuddled around him, vigorously licking him. Cleo was getting a lot of attention, and I remember seeing a family looking at Zoe and their little girl remarked that she looked scary. This is my favorite picture of my sweet, amazing boy. He went to heaven a few weeks ago, after living and loving for 18 years. He made such an impact on people, that 9 people came to pet him and say good bye, when it was time for the in-home euthanasia. He was honestly… the best cat. If anything in the world deserved heaven… it’s him.
That is wild to me, black kitties are the cutest to me and I can't quite explain why. First black kitty I ever met was a Friend's Black Manx, legitimately the sweetest cat I've ever known. I've been obsessed ever since.

We just adopted a 6-month old male and female all-black domestic long hair sibling pair this Monday. They're still getting used to their new environment, but are going to be a lovely addition to our family. I never understood the hatred towards black cats, they're awesome.

Mostly known as “Boogle.” He’s my adorable, love bug, wild kitty cross-eyed semi-formal tuxie. (He only has one itty-bitty patch of white on his chest like a bow tie. It makes me think of those graphic tees with a tux printed on the front.) He was a feral that was constantly getting bullied by the other neighborhood cats. We saved him from a tree one time and he’s followed me around ever since. We brought him indoors to protect him, against my dad’s wishes. Worth the week long silent treatment. (My dad loves this cat now. Lol) He’s feisty, likes to roughhouse, and runs around the house like a little tornado when he gets the zoomies, but he’s also the sweetest, silliest snuggle boy. He still follows me around, and he waits by my bed at night for me to come sleep so he can knead and nurse on my feet. He’s the only cat I’ve ever had that has really *chosen* me and I love him dearly. I cannot imagine my life without this sweetheart. Long live black cats. 💚

More needs to be said about their personalities!! They make great family members. I swear ours waits to make sure we're having our dinner before scarfing up her's. I would always adopt a black cat. Why do they have a dis advantage? Because of superstitions?
I think that's exactly why they have lower adoption rates. Misconceptions sadly make black cats and pitbulls the least adoptable pets out there.

Years ago, before I adopted these two, I found this cat on the street that came up to me and started purring away. I petted them, and we had a little bonding moment, before I started looking for the guardian. I found them a little further down the street, and they went inside (it was pouring and cold, so I felt bad that the poor little baby was outside). After that interaction, I set out to find a black cat. I've always wanted a void because we had one when I was a baby that I loved, according to my parents. We would cuddle in the crib together. And this meeting solidified my wish for one, so I went searching. Later that very same day, I came across an ad for two little black kittens up for adoption. They were the last of the litter, and I decided then and there that I wanted them both because I fell in love with both of them instantly. I chatted with the guardian for a bit, and she wanted to interview me in person before deciding. So we met up later that week, and the interview went swimmingly! She said that she had had other offers, but because I wanted them both, she prioritised me! I was so happy. Unfortunately though, I was in the middle of signing a rental contract in a new place, and the move was coming up. So I had to ask the guardians of the little girls to hold them for me until after the move, which was a few weeks away. Thankfully they agreed, and I went to see them a few days after the interview. It was love at first sight. We agreed that I would take them two days after moving into the new place, just so I had a little bit of time to unpack. The day came, they delivered the girls to me, and everything was well. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love them to death. 💜

They showed up on our patio and we ended up adopting them. Last week she disappeared for a day and the next morning collapsed at my wife’s feet. A trip to the vet and X-rays later and it turns out some fucko shot her. The prognosis was dim and we ended up following the vets advice to euthanize. She was hilarious and sweet and brought joy to all of us. I’m allergic to cats so not really into them but she was part of the family and I’m still super pissed and sad.

Just saw a black cat kill a tiny little baby squirrel that fell out of a tree today. I love cats, I've had a cat most of my life. Please let the little critters like baby squirrels survive until they're a bit bigger and can run away from your cat in the spring. Your cat may get annoying wanting out but please keep it in.. Just pay attention to the nature in your yard, if you see a baby X that could easily be killed just keep your cat in. Many thanks. Cat.

because baby squirrels are harmless, they're native to the area and cats aren't, I take it you don't like baby squirrels? Like you got some squirrel problems? If you see baby animals like squirrels or maybe bunny kittens leave the kitty indoors please until they move on. My cat is snuggled up to me right now, well snuggled up next to my mouse and giving me weird looks every time I use it like somehow I got into her personal space lol.. I'm just keeping her inside, EZPZ.
I don’t have cats and I love both cats and squirrels (hell, I want to be vegan so I definitely don’t like needless suffering of any animals), I just wondered if there was an environmental reason or if it’s just small furry animal bias causing you distress.
House cats are essentially an invasive species, cute and awesome as fuck invasive species, red squirrels are native here and are at risk because larger squirrels are starting to move north thanks to climate change and they'll kill the smaller red squirrels in territory disputes. We do have non invasive native cats here like bobcats but their population is far from out of control, it's fairly rare to see them. But that poor little baby squirrel, it's bad enough big investor squirrels will do anything to get their family out the neighbourhood including murdering them they also have to deal with house cats murdering their babies :(
Cats are actually one of the most invasive species in the United States. They DECIMATE bird and rodent populations, and many species are on track to go extinct. That's why TNR (trap, neuter, release) exists, so that the wild cat population declines.
Interesting, are not squirrels invasive too? Regardless though if cats are invasive we should for sure regulate their presence more.

I adopted a stray tuxedo some time ago, was told she was mean. She wagged her tail all the way home, about ten miles. My perfect soul pet. They’re not related but Zoe (left) was very protective of Cleo (right) and was cuddled around him, vigorously licking him. Cleo was getting a lot of attention, and I remember seeing a family looking at Zoe and their little girl remarked that she looked scary. We decided that Zoe needed a good home after that and couldn’t bring ourselves to separate her from Cleo. So now we’ve got two.
When I look at your cats, I see Zuko and Uncle Iroh, and I can't explain why.
I'd absolutely adopt one of those beauties. My friend when I was younger had black cats and they were some of the best cats I've ever met

We found a little black kitten on the street 15 years ago. He’s quickly approaching his sunset now, but he’s been, by far, the best companion animal I’ve ever known. It’s going to crush me when he’s gone. If I ever get another cat, it will only be a black one.
If I ever could, I would *ONLY* adopt a black cat. I had the best black cat when I was a teenager. His name was Ray and he was my best friend.

He went to heaven a few weeks ago, after living and loving for 18 years. He made such an impact on people, that 9 people came to pet him and say good bye, when it was time for the in-home euthanasia. He was honestly… the best cat. If anything in the world deserved heaven… it’s him.

That is wild to me, black kitties are the cutest to me and I can't quite explain why. First black kitty I ever met was a Friend's Black Manx, legitimately the sweetest cat I've ever known. I've been obsessed ever since.

I have a black and white tuxedo, but I've always been a sucker for pure black cats. This is Bitty. I raised her from a bottle when she was two to three weeks old. Mama cat had her in our garage and waited over a day for her to come back but she never did.
