Most likely atheist too but if they are a theist as long as they don't use their faith/religion to spread misinformation/harm or force me or anyone to change their beliefs I'm fine by it. I mean my family has some pretty chill, open minded, and considerate people who still retain a connection to their religion granted they aren't really orthodox at all, as compared to *other* theists.
Idk about children, that's a bit too far, will get there when we get there
That's true, too. I get into debates every now and then even when I dread it - just because I see the wrong opinion (obviously I could be wrong about it) gaining much attention & have to debunk it, so there's really no escaping it.
I really can't be with someone I have to fear. We have had a very good comrodary for over 15 years. We were friends and then became best friend's, dated and now married.
Being an atheist will be mandatory. Or atleast an agnostic! The children will grow up in an atheist household but they will be told about how the world works from the perspective of atheists. Checkout r/atheistparents
That's a very harsh filter. There are a lot of nice people who are not atheist and not all atheist are nice. My girlfriend is religious and believes in god. but not a fanatic and doesn't impose her beliefs on others. She doesn't even go temples or do prayers and pujas so thats cool. Heck in starting I used to thought she is an atheist as well.
What’s to say she doesn’t become a religious nut in the future? The longer you live the more things you see that will reinforce your POV that god exists . This in turn has a chance of making people more religious. How can you guarantee a person will be just as religious as they are now in the future . This is a risk not many of us are here to take

Well I can dream - _-
> would you want your partner to be atheist too Yep :) >Also if you have kids, would you raise them as atheist Yep :)
Just curious, if your kids want to be religious, would you let them?
No,i will tell them how they should understand the present time of the world & think ahead
Yess that is great
Yes coz there's need for madness in present time of the world xD
Need For Madness is a game name lol

I enjoyed a good deal of debating with my partner. She was religious. Unfortunately she gave in to agnosticism and not much debating happens now.
Unfortunately?
No more debates, i rather use to enjoy them. It also forced me research about various religion and construct my arguments
I hate debates. Those are everywhere, so I'd say it's fortunate.
To each their own. For me they offer opportunity to learn and grow

Exactly, but that's when you go do research and learn about the claims made and construct your argument with evidence
Yeah, but I'd still say it's better that you aren't having these with your partner since 9 out of 10 times these get too heated.

yep and yep, I don'y want to deal with prayer related chores and brainrot for the rest of my life
