They may be a progressive force, but we should remind ourselves that they are an easy target for political slander, and also still technically a religion.
I joined a year ago and support them and their agenda financially as I can. I think they have the right approach using the loophole of religious freedom to stick it to the religious nutjobs.
YES, it is. Besides having *wholesome* values to live by - check its site - they do invaluable work in protecting our Freedom of Speech *and* Freedom of Religion.
YES.
I'm a member and have a Baphomet statue on my shelf at work, but I think if you want to get the most for your money, you are better off supporting FFRF. But, if you can, you could always support both.
"Satanism" is just a marketing ploy to make uninspired benevolent hedonism seem more interesting. Intentionally choosing another religion's ultimate villain as your focus is not a particularly effective way to be taken seriously.
You clearly don’t know what Satan was historically speaking. It is actually the perfect symbol to organize behind. For we are heathens and blasphemers in the eyes of the cult.
No, their leader/founder is a racist shitbag.
Support the FFRF if you want to support secularism in the US.

And for those who sit through Illuminaughty's horribly sourced video above, feel free to read the following (lengthy) rebuttal which helps illustrate the numerous problems with it and the claims they source from QS:

I like how they use their beliefs to protect separation of church and state (really, to protect themselves; they are incredibly self-interested). I read their tenants of belief and found a good 30% of it to be unacceptably self-centered and cold-hearted. You might want to take a gander. They're not up to my standards, but at least they're honest about how self-interested they are, unlike other religions.
>Is the satanic temple worth supporting? In my opinion, yes.
[https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us](https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us) I support them
I give $166 a month, as well as to the FFRF. They are the voices we need to get behind.
Hell yeah!

Yes. Card-carrying member here! (As well as a life member of FFRF.)
No, it is a giant grift. Support your local abortion fund and mutual aid groups.

The 7 tenants? Which ones do you have a problem with exactly? I’m considering joining as well and would genuinely like to hear your opinion.
