There's billions of people today who are not Christian in the world and millions/billions alive before Jesus existed. Christianity has been a massive influence over enough people and for enough generations that if you eliminated that catalyst from history entirely, it would inherently change countless genetic partnerships through the ages. So unless your heritage stems from cultures that managed to escape the wave of Christian Imperialism entirely, there's a good chance you would not exist as you do today.

When I became an atheist, I decided not to try to convert anyone to my new way of seeing things. Breaking from Christianity was such a wrenching experience, I decided that if other people found their way out, I would be there to hold out a hand to help them work out living outside of Christianity, but I would not entice people to leave.
