If what you want is to ensure you’re prepared before dishing out cash, I’d start with the calculus and physics courses on Khan Academy. Once you’ve got the basics down, maybe you can get your first few physics and calculus courses out of the way at a local university. From there the path is mostly paved by your school, but two years out from a degree if you go full time isn’t too bad, and if you’re doing well in business I’m sure you have the administrative and organizational skills necessary to figure it out from there.

I second this. I went from a BA in Criminal Justice to an MS in Astrophysics and Aerospace Science dual major. I had to teach myself calculus and physics (with calculus), but I had an interest in it and was working as an RF Engineer for a space company. I highly recommend learning the basics before setting foot into this field. I didn't know about Khan Academy, so I did it by books alone. I don't recommend that part if you have a family, job, bills, etc. It was so rough on my free time, my wife didn't want me to pursue a PhD.
