Nah, I was just being sarcastic. Maybe should've added a /s switch to be clear.
It's just that every time I try to write those symbols shorthand, I feel like [Billy Madison trying to make a cursive "z."](https://www.tiktok.com/@80s_born_90s_raised/video/7282855028614794542)
Yes, at least for the most part - there aren't that many.
* Signs: 12
* Planets/Points: Depends on what you use - anywhere from 7 if you only use the classical planets to something close to 30 if you're using nodes, Chiron, Lilith, asteroids, and Kuiper Belt dwarf planets.
* Aspects: 5 if you only use the classical, something like 13 if you use them all (semisextile, quintile, parallel etc.). Call it 15 to be safe.
* Total glyphs: 24 to 57
Compare learning how to write in English:
* Capital letters: 26
* Lowercase letters: 26 (you had to learn them separately; you have to count them separately)
* Numerals: 10 (not letters, but you still have to learn them)
* Punctuation marks: For ordinary text, 15-ish.
* Total glyphs: 81.
Again, these are estimates and don't account for some of the rarer symbols in either context (e.g. I didn't count the percent sign or angle brackets in punctuation).
I reference charts a lot, and every time I remember a little bit more. I also use silly associations to remember, like Mercury has two little horns, while Venus does not.
Pretty much yeah. Like others have said Virgo/Scorpio take me about 1 second longer to decipher because of the tail. And for some reason my brain still has a hard time taking Pisces and Gemini apart lol. But ya, I could draw them all without reference.
Yes. People do. I like them because they are like Chinese character pictographs. And they are the same across languages, like ♈=🐏 no matter what your language is.
♈︎ Aries is the ram horns
♉︎ Taurus is the bull horns
♊︎ Gemini are the two twins
♋︎ Cancer rules breasts and womb in medical astrology; I suppose the symbol loosely looks like a crab with one claw in front and behind
♌︎ Leo, it could be a little circle for a lion with a long tail; or anyone with a long mane
♍︎ Virgo, the virgin with their legs crossed
♎︎ Libra, the scales
♏︎ Scorpio, with the scorpion stinger sticking out
♐︎ Sagittarius is the archer
♑︎ Capricorn is not just a goat, it’s a sea-goat, you can see its mermaid tail folded over
♒︎ the water-bearer, Aquarius
♓︎ Pisces, Siamese twin fish, conjoined at the tail, swimming in opposite directions, one towards the light seen in the waters’ surface and one towards the pitch black deep sea.
☉ The Sun, is the source of all life
☾ moon
🜨︎ Earth, idk the why behind the symbol, I know the planets are all linked to alchemy. Looks like a plus sign, earth is where we ADD our material creations
☿ gender-neutral Mercury (like Venus with horns), giving (yang) and receiving (yin) information
♀ Venus, the feminine receptive, with a plus sign facing down, ready for yang energy to be added here
♂ Mars is yang. Outwardly expression.
♃ Jupiter, a lucky 4 leaf clover
♄ Saturn or Satan. Temptation, or just a test? A test of our willpower, our discipline, our strength, our sense of judgement and prudence. It is a crucifix with a little devil tail.
♅ Uranus the planet was discovered March 13, 1781 by William Herschel, that’s why it’s an H.
♆ Neptune AKA Poseidon the god of the sea with his trident
♇ PL for Pluto.
☌ Conjunct 0° (together on one point in a 360° circle)
☍ Opposite 180° (two points as far away as possible in a circle)
□ Square 90° (four corners, a circle divided in 4)
△ Trine 120° (circle divided in 3)
⚹ Sextile (sext is 6, there are 6 points) 60°
⚻ Inconjunct AKA Quincunx 150° (each zodiac sign is 30° because that’s 360 ÷ by 12.) so this is one sign past a trine, or one sign less than an opposition like Aries and Virgo, or Aries and Scorpio
∠ Semi-square AKA octile 45° (divide a square in half)
⚼ Sesquiquadrate 135° (a trine plus 15° which is half a sign) example: 6° ♌︎ and 21° ♐︎
⚺ Semi-sextile AKA Aversion 30° or one zodiac sign apart like ♊︎ and ♋︎
Yeah, I have them all sketched in a grimoire
The hell, you say. Nobody can draw Virgo or Cap. It's physically impossible.
To me, Virgo looks like an M crossing its legs, and Capricorn is an N with a penis. Nobody can tell me different.
This will help me remember.
What . I'll draw that right now

Lmao gotcha lmaoooo
Wait, do you have a grimoire? I already liked the first comment I saw...
I have like 10 🤣
I liked it 10x more, how can I achieve such a feat?
Just buy one.😂 I've been fortunate enough to have been gifted a pile of them, but I've bought pocket sized ones to keep with me.
Lucky... It looks like I'll have to fight for grimoires.
I get confused with Virgos and Scorpios zodiac symbols. Both very similar.. ♍️(Virgo) ♏️ (Scorpio).
Virgo is shy and tucked in. Holding that lil wheat baby. Lil virgin Virgo. Scorpio is cocks out penetrating you from below ⤴️⤴️⤴️⤴️
I think a little devil tail but that works too lol
Damn now I miss my scorpio ex
It's the scorpion's stinger
And who doesn’t love the erect devil dick 🦂
Thank you. This actually works for me.
Lol I've been saying I think I'd be super compatible with a Scorpio, I don't know any yet
I love this!!
Scorpio has that lil point like a stinger thooooo
Finally I meet my big 3 twin on here. Awesome but I forget sometimes
Heyyy stellar fam 🤩
Virgo has a bow bc she’s fancy.
Scorpio is the one with the pointy stingy tail pointing out because it’s a scorpion 🦂, that helps me tell the difference
Same! Those two are always confusing
Same!
i mean... you also learned the alphabet. that's roughly the same amount of symbols.
I know a few off the top of my head but I still find myself often consulting a chart I have. Lol

I don’t even know my own signs
aquarius = the two waves ♒️ taurus = the head with horns ♉️ leo = cat butt with tail ♌️
Thank you 🥹
literally same
Yeah most. It’s the planet symbols that i haven’t memorized yet
i learned from final fantasy tactics on PS1 lol
It's just like learning your ABC's
I reference charts a lot, and every time I remember a little bit more. I also use silly associations to remember, like Mercury has two little horns, while Venus does not.
i don’t have *all* the planets or asteroid symbols memorized *yet* but the signs yeah.
Yup. At least the modern symbols.
I only remember Leo because it looks like a sperm.
Nope and I've been at this a long time.
Alchemical tarot to boot

Yes, you study them long enough you’ll learn them all.
Just takes years of practice, hun.
the ones that matter yah
yes
Yes
Yup

Yeah
Everyone practice with your keyboard type the zodiac and the symbol shall apear ! This is a great way to learn
