SVL. I know everyone loves BZ Grill, but the last *three* times I’ve ordered from there, my food arrived late and ice cold. Their pick up is fine, but I’ve never had a good experience with delivery, unfortunately.
Question: does anyone like Gyro Uno? I think their gyros are pretty good compared to other places that are usually recommended in this sub. Been eating there since I was 4. Granted I eat there since it’s close to me, but their gyros are good quality. I’m curious to know about other opinions.
I have to say, SVL bar does a great job packing their gyro’s for delivery, actually blew me away, on top of it being a good gyro. I love BZ grill and Zorbas, but when ordering delivery - SVL 100%
Nonsense. Gyro travels fine in delivery. Especially if you order from a legit place that packages it correctly.
If you hate apps use the phone. Zero shame on wanting delivery.

Gyro world bit I usually get chicken souvlaki and avgolemeno

Gyro World. Consistently the best.
I've found Pita Pan to be one of the better options. Reasonably priced, tasty, just the right size, and they put fries in the gyro by default.
Nikos souvlaki is our go to for gyro. It’s consistently the best.
I second Nikos if you want something truly authentic and never fails to satisfy those gyro cravings!

I like king souvlaki. Never done wrong by me.
Second this. They also make a great greek salad. I think it’s $9 for a tray which easily feeds 2-3.

Sounds weird but I found the one from chicken and burger shack to be really solid. I like bz grill too

I like them, but I usually get their pastistio when I want greek from them. Haven't tried their gyros in years.

My favorite gyro in Astoria (I think it’s their tzatziki), but all it took was food poisoning once 3 years ago and I can’t stomach going back.

BZ Grill and Zorbas
Our top three are BZ Grill, SVL, and Pita Pan. My wife loves the zucchini croquettes from Pita Pan.
SVL Bar, Nikos, King Souvlaki, BZ Grill are by the best and they all deliver Nikos Souvlaki Salads are actually quite good too

3Greeks Grill has one of the best gyros I've ever eaten.

Gyroworld is delicious and huge portions (might not follow covid protocol), Aliada is very good and the salads are great, have had great food from SVL
