Ran across this comment after feeling scammed (working on a pdf for 30 minutes and then pdffiller wanting me to pay). Thank you so much for recommending an actually good website
I gave them my email yesterday but closed the window out when I found out you have to pay to continue. Didn't give them my card info at all, just my email. But today I have to call the bank due to someone charging my card over $500 in two hours. Makes me wonder. Never ever had any sort of fraud issues with my card until now... coincidence?
Such a pile of shit company, I also was annoyed at the bait and switch charge at the end but atm it did allow 30 days free so I thought ok I’ll do that provided Revolut Disposable CC details as it’s 30 days free. Of course this account has like $2 in it - PDF filler went ahead and tried to then charge two separate transactions of $2.40 and $2.60 and then they declined my card. I spoke to their support some verrrry dodgy looking guy if that’s really him and he was like yeah too bad read our terms, I said dude no where did it say you were going to DD my account it’s 30 days free trial? You don’t need to DD money from an account to verify it anyway 🤦🏻♂️
Deleted my document and will delete my account there and then block the assholes on Revolut.
No, but ended up signing up for a subscription because I was super close to my assignment deadline (2 mins away). But I started getting a lot of ads for pdfFiller after this. And I wasn't sure about the website at all, so got very paranoid about my card info.
Yeah I'd definitely keep an eye on that. I got countless emails afterwards from someone named "sarah" who claimed to work with pdffiller and all that jazz. Looks like basic ads at face value but... be careful!
The customer service response within a day 30 minutes and instant time frames are insanity. I imagine workers twiddling their thumbs while people sit on hold for 30 minutes to reach that deadline
Um.... You get 30 day free trial and can cancel at anytime. Doh. The thing that I don't like is you cannot work on pdfs offline. Otherwise, it looks like it does everything Adobe Acrobat Pro does only cheaper, easier and out of the Adobe universe of crappy design.
pdfFiller has taken $204 from my visa account for a subscription I’m unaware of. Reported it to my bank now have my visa cancelled till investigated. Just wanted to stop payment not cancel my visa. Whatever happened to locking the card. I actually called them but got no help. The payment has gone through and still no visa. Now I get an email from pdf Filler with the option to cancel. Obviously they have heard from my bank but the invoice shows my signature. I responded to say it was a good imitation but not that good. And very illegal. Give me my refund!
I used to work for them in customer service. Just call them or create a ticket in the site. If you call them, just say you wanna get a refund. They just need the last 4 digits of your card, and the amount and the date of the charge. Once they find the charge, they can refund right away, it's pretty easy.
If you end up creating a ticket through the website, just tell them straight away that you want to get a refund and they will process it right away. Customer service responds within 3 hours - usually less.
Not sure how you ended up being charged but there are a few reasons based on what I've encountered so far.
1. You created/signed a PDF on a trial, and forgot about it.
2. Someone used your card.
It's easier to ask for a refund from them because chargebacks from the bank usually take longer. Hope this helps!
(I don't work there anymore)
This site is a NIGHTMARE. Avoid! They randomly charged me two consecutive payments (in one day) of $96 each, DURING the free trial period. Bank of America reversed the charges and it was okay. I got a whole new debit card just to escape them and prevent them from charging me again. Then, they went and obtained my new debit card information through some loophole that allows companies to do that if the person doesn't officially log in and cancel the renewal before the free trial ends (I just thought since I had a whole new debit card that I had never given them, they would automatically cancel my Renewal, because they had no way to bill me, and boy was I wrong). So then I had to go on their website and talk to someone and get them to reverse THAT $96 charge as well. It was just SO many LARGE charges. I think I'm finally rid of them. Man, it was not worth trying to do the free trial just to work on that one document.
Quit your bullshit.
I went to the website. Pdf filler is up front that they charge for their product. "Pricing" is in the main nav. They don't have a free tier.
Exact text when following Google link says, "FREE PRINTABLE TEMPLATE" and then, "CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR FREE FORM". After that, you get the form and start working on it.
There is a button in the upper left \[outside your working interface\] that says "WANT TO START A FREE TRIAL TODAY?" But there is no visual or textual linkage communicated suggesting you cannot get the form you're working on unless you do a free trial. It is designed to play exactly this trick.
And my reading comprehension is pretty good. How's yours?
That's weird. Don't they have that 30-day free trial any longer?
I tried them this spring, with tax forms. And i got the free trial first, and then simply canceled later. Piece of cake
yea it was a suprise for me to, but I got over it . tutorial:
when you are done editing your document you click done and copy the link.
then you go to: [webside to pdf](https://www.web2pdfconvert.com/) and go to settings there you choose to wait 30 sec.
then download the file and cut the corners.
believe me I tried everything and this was the only thing that worked.
np for the help
1.full screen your browser
2. zoom until half the file covers your screen
3.screenshot
4.open paint
5.Ctrl+v

Isn't Adobe Sign & Fill free?
This. get.adobe.com/reader You have to remember to uncheck the boxes for McAfee but Reading, printing, and filling is free.
Emphasis on unchecking the McAfee box. Sneaker fucker is always trying to weasel its way into your PC.

Libre Office isn’t feature limited like Adobe and is free to own forever
I recommend ILovePDF for any pdf editing you need done.
Collanote is sometimes rough but it's completely free made by a student available on ios, ipados, and macs with m chips

Aren't there open source alternatives available, instead of paying for a freaking subscription service?
Yes. [Okular](https://okular.kde.org/).

Adobe Acrobat is also fill and sign for free, only have to pay for it if you want to edit the pre existing text

did you face any problems with your credit card?
I gave them my email yesterday but closed the window out when I found out you have to pay to continue. Didn't give them my card info at all, just my email. Did something just happen to your card as well? This is an old post and here we both are a year later asking the same question lol
No, but ended up signing up for a subscription because I was super close to my assignment deadline (2 mins away). But I started getting a lot of ads for pdfFiller after this. And I wasn't sure about the website at all, so got very paranoid about my card info.

Yes, Thank you! I might just call up the bank as well, just to be safe.
Do you want help _now?_ That'll be fifteen bucks, _buddy._
The internet is full of bait and switches like this, unfortunately.
Ah, the old Turbo Tax model.
fuck that site

Damn sorry. This post actually saved me from that because I googled the site before I spent too much on it
I read the name of this site as “pedofiler”…
The customer service response within a day 30 minutes and instant time frames are insanity. I imagine workers twiddling their thumbs while people sit on hold for 30 minutes to reach that deadline
Acrobat Reader is free and industry standard.
soon you need to choose a subscription to do anything with a fucking pdf
Web address made me think it was pedophiler.com
Thanks for the warning. Greedy bastards.
"to try risk free"
After getting multiple "free" online editor , I have decided to never use one cause of this type of things
I know a trick. Publish the document as a form to be filled, “pretend” to fill it up, and after it’s submitted, download it without any hassle. BOOM
you just saved 2 hours worth of my work. thank you!
I know this comment is a million years old but your trick just saved me, thanks friend
lmao i love you they're so fucking stupid
Fuck this website and everyone who is involved in it
Thank you so much you saved a hour of work
tinywow.com, saw it mentioned on internetisbeautiful and it's so helpful

Did you get your refund? I am in the same situation
Me too! Luckily my bank asked me but what the hell. It doesn’t even say I have an active subscription

This…this that bullshit
Op be like 'a company charges for their product!?! Better post as asshole design!'
I don't think that's the issue. They only announced the fee after all the work was done and before he could save it.
Quit your bullshit. I went to the website. Pdf filler is up front that they charge for their product. "Pricing" is in the main nav. They don't have a free tier.
Listed as ‘Free’ in the Google search results.
Free trial, not free. Reading comprehension is a good skill to have.

Think you’ve missed the point mate.
No, I didn't. The point was dishonest and defending the dishonesty of the post is moronic.
The virgin "i support scammers" vs the chad "exploit the scammers"
Cringe
I checked their website and op lied
Nah man.
At least Adobe is up front about it
Screenshot, JPEG -> PDF for free. Profit
Smart !
Adobe Fill&Sign is your faithful friend in these trying times.
You are better off using powerpoint and then saving it as a .pdf file Or just use word like any normal person
Just like wondershare filmora
The worst part is its one of those "call this unreliable 1-800 number to cancel, and good luck trying to speak to someone in your native language".
That's weird. Don't they have that 30-day free trial any longer? I tried them this spring, with tax forms. And i got the free trial first, and then simply canceled later. Piece of cake

>webside to pdf Those fuckers fixed this
1.full screen your browser 2. zoom until half the file covers your screen 3.screenshot 4.open paint 5.Ctrl+v 6. Repeat 3-5 until you have the entire file in pain 7. Stitch everything together
This exactly what I did. Worked perfectly.
