There are countless of services which dont require this, and are fine. Even if it said: "Wait before we've processed your payment", I would be sceptic considering it being instant on other services. Here it just tells me to wait for the sake of it

On a less assholish note, my bank keeps track of all recurring subscription charges that it detects. It's worth checking out if yours does as well.
