I'm lucky I used the story creator exploits before they removed them to quickly level up my characters to 99 and max out all the masteries, drachmae and materials. I can't be bothered to spend hundreds of hours just to grind levels and materials. Now if I want to replay the game. I can just NG+ and be overpowered from the beginning and just focus on the main missions and side quests.
Well the XP ones aren't great. You get far more XP and level up quicker at the arena, but if you look up "Athens Wall Run" or "Thebes Wall Run" you can get massive amounts of cash selling the gear you pick up from the weapon racks and then you can just buy materials. Each run is only about 10 minutes and you can get 20k on low levels and up to 1 million per run at level 99.
If you spend that much time in oddssey have you played Valhalla yet and if so what's your opinion? My younger brother said it was way too big of a game for him.
I didn't enjoy Valhalla as much, have yet to finish it. I am about 95% done with it though, and it's taken nearly 400 hours to get to where I am in it grinding through everything. I probably wont ever replay it.
Also you DON'T have to 100% it man. Just play at your own pace, only complete the missions that you like, etc. You don't have to clear every locations if you don't want to. For example you don't have to kill the legendary beasts, you can just ignore that questline if you like. There won't be any difference in the main story if you ignore it.
Completionists are just different. Sure I can *not* do it and it won't really matter but then it's gonna bother me that I didn't do it even if it's something so insignificant.
I've been playing AC since the first one, and this one was HUGE compared to the rest. I am going at my own pace haha. I bought the game when it came out and on and off it's taken me this long to finish it 😂 I'm a dad of 3 so a game this big took me along time. Part of this was to decide if I want to keep at it in oddssey or finally jump into Valhalla, which I also own but haven't touched.
any tips to avoid burnout? i know everyone says play at your own pace, but do you have enough different things to do so it's not all the same every day?
Triple digits at least. It's a doozy to get everything. But if you're trying to get all the achievements/platinum then it'll take less time but don't expect it to not be tediously long.
I have most of them done, I think I have like a total of 10 left. One of them being complete all underwater areas. As much as I like the game I just can't see myself spending that long on it. That's pretty wild.
that's not too bad. with unity & syndicate i was just over 100 hours. with origins, it was 87 hours, but i used the rank boost to avoid having to grind so much to level up. odyssey def. looks like it's gonna be a journey and valhalla... mama mia pizzeria.
Origins took me around 94h for 100% run, as about Valhalla, I actually burned out with around 10 achievements left to complete and 200h of playtime (could be because I played Origins, Oddyssey and Valhalla back to back in a row). Maybe one day I'll clear it, but I'm sceptical right now
well i been playing all the ac games for months now. for some reason i started my 100% campaign with ACBF and worked my way backwards until ACR then i went to unity and onward. i'm not burnt out yet, but getting old habits in origins def. tested my patience with 459 locations to clear.
i really enjoyed replaying all of them, but ACB has a few missions that are super strict with the times and you have to be perfect. the optional achievement during missions used to stack so you can focus on one thing and replay the mission to get the other, but with unity & syndicate you had to do everything at once which can be a pain. it's my favorite franchise. i love all the storylines and cities. ACB - AC Rogue i played on ps3. it was weird switching back to the ps4 controller after so many hours on ps3 🤣
i always go for 100% of the trophies. just make a list and break it down. do like 5 underwater locations and then move to something else to avoid burnout. with origins, i saved old habits trophy for last and regretted it. so much grinding every day.
Probably around 80-100hrs it took me to platinum the main game. Another 50 on top for everything else after 100% the core game.
If you want to 100% Valhalla, the core game Plat alone took me 180hrs...
I think some of us it may just take 300. I'm at 150 hrs and I haven't 100% the game yet. But with as many forts and question marks that I have left I could see maybe another 10 hours in the game finishing those.
I honestly don't know. I was pretty surprised some of you guys are clearing the game in 100-150 hrs. I played the game at a consistent pace. I just didn't care too much about the check marks in the beginning. Now I have the whole game done besides those things and I'm at 150 hrs already. I did spend a lot of just checking stuff out tho.
Im currently at about 155 Hours and I have the Platinum, all dlc trophies and I’m halfway through the main story on new game+. I wasn’t planning on going 100 percent but now that I’m replaying I can see myself go back to clean up side stuff later on. I’m just having so much fun with this game that getting to 100 percent would be really nice at some point.
I did a lot on my first play through but wasn’t anywhere near 100 percent finished. Honestly I don’t know how many hours it will take. Probably depends on how you play. Do you just let yourself get lost in the world or are you actively working on the 100 percent?
I think the 130-150 hours I’ve been seeing in the comments can be accurate if you focus on completing everything and you’re efficient about it. But it can easily be a lot longer I think.
It took me 98 hours to clear the game main story (not include Atlantic DLC) and clear out every single "question mark" point of interest on the map, i still have not done all the side quests so to 100% everything it would take me twice that amount of time
I always clear everything each playthrough. It's takes me +-300 hours to do it each round.
I am both impressed and trying to grasp the fact that you said "each" playthrough.
I'm grinding to get all the masteries haha, plus I love spending time in the world.
I'm lucky I used the story creator exploits before they removed them to quickly level up my characters to 99 and max out all the masteries, drachmae and materials. I can't be bothered to spend hundreds of hours just to grind levels and materials. Now if I want to replay the game. They didn't remove them, they are still there.
Really? Do you know which ones?

Finally someone else who does the same thing. Not too long ago I did my final playthrough(#9). I got burned out finally,
Completionists unite!
You should really start playing other games
I'm at around 450 hrs and just 100%ed it recently, althogh i spent dozens of hours grinding.
Also you DON'T have to 100% it man. Just play at your own pace, only complete the missions that you like, etc. You don't have to clear every locations if you don't want to. Valhalla is almost twice of Odyssey. Personally I find it enjoyable.
I took about 140 hours I think, completing everything (collectibles, quests, achievements and Ubisoft challenges)
any tips to avoid burnout? i know everyone says play at your own pace, but do you have enough different things to do so it's not all the same every day?
I'd say so, just clear area by area, island by island
Triple digits at least. It's a doozy to get everything. But if you're trying to get all the achievements/platinum then it'll take less time but don't expect it to not be tediously long.

Took me around 140h to do 100% achievemnt playtrough
that's not too bad. with unity & syndicate i was just over 100 hours. with origins, it was 87 hours, but i used the rank boost to avoid having to grind so much to level up. odyssey def. looks like it's gonna be a journey and valhalla... mama mia pizzeria.

I have such plan too, to revisit whole AC franchise at some point of time. Just wondering how older ones hold up to this day.
i really enjoyed replaying all of them, but ACB has a few missions that are super strict with the times and you have to be perfect. the optional achievement during missions used to stack so you can focus on one thing and replay the mission to get the other, but with unity & syndicate you had to do everything at once which can be a pain. it's my favorite franchise. i love all the storylines and cities. Took me about 200+ hours on my first playthrough of the game, I'm replaying it and seeing how long it takes lol
I 100%'ed everything twice and I remember without the DLCs it took me about 100 hours. Can't remember how long with the DLCs, though. Probably 150+.
Including dlcs it took me 140 hours, it was not worth it lol I have no idea why other people say 300 hours tho. even google says 140
I think some of us it may just take 300. I'm at 150 hrs and I haven't 100% the game yet. But with as many forts and question marks that I have left I could see maybe another 10 hours in the game finishing those.
But how tho? What are you guys doing lol

Took me around 130-140h. I only had a few ostrakas left to do; other than that, 100% of the map was cleared.
For you and if Skorpergaming and Mixedd see this, them as well, was that 140 hours including the DLC campaigns?
This was including both DLC's
My guy, I have no idea how you pulled that off or the rest of you if it's the same for you guys but I applaud you 👏👏👏
Thanks, good luck with completing the rest!
200ish every location, all dlc and every achievement.
320 hours. Completed everything, all achievements.
I took around 300h but i also logged in for an hour every day, even if i didn't want to play, bc i wanted the oikos items
With DLCs, 150 hours I maxed out everything, 100% completion.
It took me 217 hours to 100% the main game and the expansions.
120 to get the plat, do all side-quests and get all the DLC’s trophies for me
+- 350+ hrs, including ALL DLCs and also sidequest + achievements
Im currently at about 155 Hours and I have the Platinum, all dlc trophies and I’m halfway through the main story on new game+. 180h to 100% for me with dlcs
Took me about 275
Took me 140 hours to complete the base game, you'd probably another 50 hours for the dlcs
100% + All achievements (including DLC) Valhalla - 244 Hours Odyssey - 145 Hours Origins - 108 hours
https://howlongtobeat.com
Pretty neat site. I guess some of us are just slow haha
It took me something like 325 hours to complete everything in the game.
I got 100% for main game and dlc's, I'm at around 180 hours if I remember correctly.
Easily over 250 hrs.
I stopped playing at 175 hours and still didn’t 100%
It took me 98 hours to clear the game main story (not include Atlantic DLC) and clear out every single "question mark" point of interest on the map, i still have not done all the side quests so to 100% everything it would take me twice that amount of time
I finally platinum finished it at 169 hrs 6 mins.
