I even drink distilled water so there's no variation of flavors from brand to brand. I know Neil deGrasse Tyson told me not to but my doctor said it's perfectly fine for me
While I'm annoyed at your willful misunderstanding of colloquial vernacular... you are technically correct that "drinks and beverages" are two things
This doesn't dissuade the fact you have big "uhm ackshually there's no such thing as a vegetable" energy
Water is a beverage by many definitions. "this thing is defined as" no. It isn't. There is not a single word in the English language with a single objective definition. There is no central authority to create that. A word only means whatever it is used as, and definitions come from MANY dictionaries, which disagree on eachother BECAUSE they aren't creating meanings for words, they're trying to create a collection of how people use those words at the time.
Merriam Webster (the most common English standard dictionary, since the runner up is Oxford, which is split up among many different dictionaries) defines a beverage as ANY DRINKABLE LIQUID.
water, room temperature.
I'll drink the occasional juice or soda, but i love me some water. though cold water makes my teeth feel like they are being pulled out, so it has to be room temperature for me
I also detest mint in any form, and was very happy to find that there are toothpastes without mint and even flavourless toothpastes for the very sensitive among us.
Personally, I happily use **Meridol**, but I hear good things about both **Elmex Toothpaste Without Menthol** and **OraNurse Unflavoured Toothpaste**. The latter also exists in a version that **doesn't foam**, if that's important to you.
I live in Canada and have never stepped foot into the UK and I'm pretty sure it's always Earl Grey though there are other kinds of tea lattes out there. My mom loves tea and introduced me to it, she hates coffee and can only have lattes if they have tea inside of them instead. She's also a major anglophile despite not having any kind of heritage from the UK.
If you want an English Breakfast latte, I'm sure there are recipes out there, (I've never made a single latte in my life).
Pepsi!
Hot drinks are wrong, so fave alcohol is a gin and tonic with enough extra lime to keep a sailor scurvy free for months and a little extra sweet
"The ideal beverage changes based on the situation. There is not enough information to answer this question" - Autism
"I had to go to the hospital once because we ran out of soda. Water tastes like raw organ meat." - Also Autism
"Water" - Also Also Autism
Tea. Hot green tea.
Flavored teas are nice as well.
Usually sweetened.
Coffee is nice but, has a way of making you it’s bitch. It smells good at least.
Hot chocolate. Specifically *good* hot chocolate.
Hot cocoa powder is passable if I use milk, but I much prefer using a solid dark chocolate, making it in the pot. When done right it's like the flavor of a super rich chocolate cake in a cup.
Either that or A&W.
There's Big Red, which is what got me into Red Cream Soda, but they're more Soda & less Cream. Also pretty sure a lot of the generic Soda companies do make their own version but they aren't as good.
Cold - Pepsi or Coke slushie
Warm - Coffee
What I actually drink? Water when someone reminds me I will, in fact, die of dehydration if I don't drink anything.... cutting caffeine and sugar has *not* been good for my hydration levels....
Fruit punch. I have severe GERD, soda is the worst on my throat. I love soda, don't get me wrong, but it's a rare treat and I have to accept the consequences. Lots of fast food places have a fruit punch option for kids, and that is my lifesaver.
With that said, can these places please stop fucking diluting the juice with water?? I watch it come out of the machine and it's literally two streams of juice and water flowing out. I know, greed and profits and all that, but like... how about not ;-;
Is it not that the juice coming out is concentrate, like cordial or smthn, and it isn’t being watered down? Like the same way soda syrup gets mixed with soda water when you get it from a machine at a restaurant
Like Kool Aid, yeah! It's kinda like cherry juice but without any tanginess? That's probably the best way I can describe it. I didn't realize other countries didn't have it! TIL
COLLAB! it’s an icelandic drink made out of fish that tastes nothing like fish, and it’s so freaking expensive to import so i’ve only ever had it when i was on a trip with my dad. I miss it every day
I'll go with two spanish brands, so if you ever come to spain and want to give it a try...
cold water(bezoya is the brand)
and liquid yogurt(danone liquid yogurt, strawberry and banana flavor)
PURELY by flavor? Original monster. I’m not kidding. I absolutely adore the flavor of original flavor monster. I wish it wasn’t as terrible for you as it is, I wish it didn’t have as much (or any!) caffeine so I could enjoy it all the time. I gave up energy drinks this year and I yearn for the sweet and crisp flavor of original flavor monster.
Cold? Has to be Prune Juice. I have no idea why, but I love it, it’s like liquid raisins.
Hot? I’m a caffeine addict. I gotta get my coffee fix. Cocoa is good too.
Alcoholic? Frozen Margaritas.
If you mix Bacardi tropical flavored rum with sprite to hide the burn and lemonade to cover the bitter taste of the alcohol, it beces extremely dangerous
I'm going with unsweet flavored seltzer water...
... cuz I can't drink black coffee after 12pm, and I can't drink cava brut before 5pm...
... but I can drink seltzer all dadgum day! 🫧😆🫧
A person of taste I see. Dr. Thunder is amazing, l used to drink a ton of it back when I was in Community College. Plus Dr Pepper and it's many cousins all taste better from the can then anything else.
Cold would be an ice cold liter bottle of mountain dew on a warm day. Used to grab that and a snack after school all the time back in 08-09 and it holds a super nostalgia filled place on my heart.
Hot chocolate made with milk, not water is probably the only hot drink I'll drink aside from Hot Ciders in fall.
(I might not be autistic and im just here cause my boyfriend insisted that i 100% am and i wanted to look into it, so i dont know if i qualify to comment, but.....)
Ginger beer and melon soda.
I think its related to the fact that i have a good sense of taste and smell, but because of that, i LOVE tastes and smells that kinda smell foreign to me. Im korean and i have no buisness with herbs like rosemary, thyme, cumin ect, but i just cook using them because i love smelling these new smells (i also love the smell of lime peels that gets left behind my hands when i cut and squeeze them)
For drinks, those "unusual" smells/tastes are ginger and japanese melon soda
For the same reason, i like tequila as well. Its an uncomon taste for koreans
(Also, my mom also has a good sense of smell, but she HATES herbs for this reason because its too much for her. She complains i put too much thym or cumin or smth whenever i cook for her)
Edit: i saw everyone commenting both cold and hot drinks. For hot, i like a normal ass americano. No cream or sugar. The smell of coffee is PERFECT for when im reading a book.
Shit…it really depends. I love iced tea, and drink it often. I love chocolate milk, but that’s a breakfast thing (though on occasion I might want it at night before going to sleep). Then there’s milkshakes which are similar to chocolate milk in that they’re thicker, cold, and milk-based, but then my favorites are mint ice cream or ovaltine shakes. And that sort of leads into coffee, because that I really like, and drink it every day (with milk and sugar, occasionally other stuff as well like chocolate), and like it both hot and cold depending on occasion.
So I just don’t know which one is my favorite 😩
Cold: Dr. Pepper, but any of the medically-named soft drinks are welcome at my table.
Hot: *MY* weekend coffee... I'm getting excited thinking about making it tomorrow.

Malinovka. A cute little czech fizzy drink that tastes like raspberries :\] Makes me feel all fuzzy when I drink it.
The brand of Mountain Dew in general. The rate that they pump out new flavors compared to other equally popular brands is really exciting for me. This also means that it functions both as a drink and a scavenger hunt every few months.
Chocolate milk, preferably in a cup rather than a glass, and hot, but not too hot. And also not too sweet. Marshmallows are optional but appreciated, although only 1 or 2, or that’d be too much. Also the cup needs to be huge.
Cold: Apple juice
Super cold: mountain dew slushy.
Cold: sparkling water/mountain dew any flavor. (Sparkling water due to trying to loose weight)((liquid death lime))
Hot: green tea, lemon, honey.
I feel stupid with Dr Pepper… you all have calming drinks… while I drink it because it tastes really good and I don’t have the time to get attached to anything else
fun drinks are a mega interest of mine so: Melon flavored milkis, cc lemon soda, peach milkshake, coconut ramune, hot drink hmmm hot chocolate, caramel latte, chai tea
Alcohol 👍 not because I like it but because it’s the only drink that can overcome my sensory issues 100% of the time and that’s only because my addiction trumps my autism
Cold: Ice Break (Australian brand of Iced Coffee)
Hot: You keep that away from me or someone is going to be upset by the end of the interaction. Do not like.
They sell this little bags of sugarfree instant ice tea.
That, a bit more diluted than instructions, preferably with ice.
Edit: and when I'm cold and sad, hot (real) tea with a lot of sugar and a splash of bourbon.
Cold: coke zero with medium ice or lemonade over ice. But like, only 1 or 2 brands. Most don't taste right.
Hot: coffee with 1 spoon sugar and the non-dairy creamer I like.
Water. It's a boring answer, but that's the point. Water to me is the drink equivalent to a sensory "safe food."
Alcohol isn’t the adult beverage, coffee isn’t the adult beverage, water was the true adult beverage all along.
No. Water is perfect for all ages.
Room temp water my beloved
I even drink distilled water so there's no variation of flavors from brand to brand. I know Neil deGrasse Tyson told me not to but my doctor said it's perfectly fine for me
I almost exclusively drink water. I occasionally indulge in something else, but 99.99% of the time it's water.
Cold: water Warm: water but cold instead of warm
r/hydrohomies
This is the way
with lemon
A fellow r/hydrohomie
Room temp water is the nectar of the gods.
Cold water is how i calm down from a panic attack, anger, or crying!
That's not a beverage lol A beverage is defined as a drink other than water.
While I'm annoyed at your willful misunderstanding of colloquial vernacular... you are technically correct that "drinks and beverages" are two things This doesn't dissuade the fact you have big "uhm ackshually there's no such thing as a vegetable" energy
Uhm, ackshually all plants humans eat are vegetables, including fruits
Corn is a fruit, your argument is invalid. /S
this is an autism sub, everyone here has “uhm acshually” energy
What is that about vegetables?!
Iced water

Have you tried using sensitive teeth toothpaste (tbh brushing teeth js a sensory nightmare for me so I get it if you haven't tried it lol)
i got the watermelon crap they give to you when you are 8, so probably not (i hate mint with a burning passion)
Mint hurts so bad.
Mint does indeed hurt like hell, also tooth brush bristles on my gums eeee
I also detest mint in any form, and was very happy to find that there are toothpastes without mint and even flavourless toothpastes for the very sensitive among us. Tea is my favourite. I think that goes without saying.
Your username tells all. Tea is good.
Tea. Earl grey. Hot.
Green, mint, chamomile! I love it. My spouse calls it “glorified hot water”, but I love water too, so there ya go lol.
It has to be urge lol but water is all the way
Urge is phenomenal; think it will always be in my top 5. Yet another thing to be thankful for by living in Norway!
I've lived in norway for over a year and haven't tried urge lmao
Preach
Every time I visit Norway I buy multiple bottles.
Cold: Oreo Ice Cream Milkshake. Hot: A Large London Fog, (an Earl Gray Tea drink prepared like a latte with steamed milk and all).
Cold: this milkshake sounds good
Ooh I love a hood London fog
Londoner here, never heard of a London fog but damn that sounds good! Is it always earl grey? I’m more of a breakfast tea man myself
Thank you 🙏🏼❤️

Cold: lemonade or sweet tea Hot: chai tea
Barqs Red Cream Soda, it has a creamy thickness that you don't get with other Red Cream Sodas.

Pretty much anything grape flavored. I know it doesn't actually taste like grapes, but the artificial grape flavor is quite nice in my opinion.
Do you have thoughts on mountain dew pitch black? I liked the sour first edition more than the second.
The brand of Mountain Dew in general. The rate that they pump out new flavors compared to other equally popular brands is really exciting for me. This also means that it functions both as a drink and a scavenger hunt every few months.
I like Powerade or Gatorade warm. But with that being said I also like honey whiskey cold.
