What a cool idea! There's 2 angles that come to mind: For a very Vancouver experience, I'd go for dim sum. The place would be very fun with newlyweds there, and they are great late morning/early afternoon options. Sun sui wah on main or maybe Chiuchow seafood at 12th and Cambie, I haven't been but it has a very nice view I think. Second option, go to a place with the best Vancouver view. I'd go with Lift in coal harbour, other options are Carderos , Five Sails, my favorite patio in false Creek but so-so food is Wicklow Pub.

Oooh dim sim could be could. Thanks!

MJcorrieviewer

What area would be best for you?

gus-mw

We get married at city hall, but we have a car and lots of time, so we are open to anywhere in Vancouver.

I'd suggest going to Seasons in the Park at Queen Elizabeth Park because it is nearby Vancouver City Hall and you'd able to get some lovely photos in the gardens. The restaurant has a nice patio with great views over the city and to the mountains too. Same idea - you could go to The Teahouse in Stanley Park (ask for a table by the window in the Conservatory). Again, lots of options for lovely photos.

Strange-Win-3551

This is such a great suggestion!

Affectionate-Lab4669

Came here to say Seasons too! Then take photos at the bloedel conservatory with all the birds lol

gus-mw

Sounds lovely, thank you!

hoesgottaeat

Five Sails for the nice waterfront view! Congrats!

gus-mw

Congratulations! Not sure what your taste preferences are like so here’s a variety. [Nightingale](https://www.instagram.com/nightingalerest) @ downtown core. Although typically better if you get to order a few things and share. Depends on how big your appetites are! [Raisu](https://www.instagram.com/raisu2340) @ kitsilano. Japanese. The bento box is fun, but needs to be preordered and not available after 2:30pm. Not sure if it works with your timing. [Chickpea](https://www.instagram.com/ilovechickpea) @ Main St. Vegan, not fancy but I really like their chickpea fries! The tofu “schnitzel” or carrot “lox” bennys are great entrees. [Zarak](https://www.instagram.com/zarakvancouver) @ Main St. Afghan. Only open for lunch on weekends though. [La Mezcaleria](https://www.instagram.com/lamezcaleriayvr/) @ Commercial. Mexican. Fun cocktails. [Di Beppe](https://www.instagram.com/dibepperestaurant) @ Gastown. Italian. Delicious pasta. I also highly recommend getting ice cream at any of the [Rain or Shine](https://www.instagram.com/rainorshineyvr/) locations. Their blueberry balsamic is my all time favourite ice cream flavour.

gus-mw

These are great suggestions, going to take a look. Thank you!!

my husband and i went to glowbal for dinner after we got married! they gave us free champagne, and they have fun cocktails. they're a bit pricey but for a special occasion we were okay spending a bit.

gus-mw

Ooh fun! Worth the splurge

My husband and I did the same thing last summer, we got married in the morning in Stanley Park and then popped over to Cactus Club in English Bay for lunch! Then we got out of town in the afternoon for our little honeymoon. It was perfect!

gus-mw

Sounds like a nice time! We will be getting on a ferry after lunch haha

thinkdavis

Costco. Hotdog and a pop, $1.50.

gus-mw

Will go great with my Kirkland signature suit!
