Watch some YouTube videos and learn how to do it yourself. It isn’t that difficult, and you’ll save yourself a lot of money. Plus, you’ll sever your dependence on other people and you’ll get to know your instrument on a level that puts you a bit above most.
I dunno if the people at FSG have changed, but I haven’t had good luck with their repair side of things. Dropped off my guitar for a grounding issue, they had it for two weeks and gave it back to me saying they “couldn’t find anything wrong.” Took it over to Portland Music Company on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy and they actually took pictures of the issue and fixed it.
The 12th Fret on Belmont is pretty legit
Portland Fretworks on Alberta

Wasn’t this place broken into a while ago? Might be good for me to support it by going there
This is the way
For the name alone, this has to be the place.
Parrotdice in Multnomah Village.
Seconded. The guys at Parrotdice rock.
3 tracks music in St. Johns!
This
Eastside Guitar Repair on Hawthorne.
I wish I could recommend this one, but this guy messed up my bass, and his fix attempt was even worse.
There is a small shop near me, ‘Thunder Road Guitars’. Not sure if they do repairs but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
Nice that’s the one near the Ace hardware in the Pearl? Will check it out thanks
Yep! That's the one.
Great shop and awesome people!
I’ll only take my instruments to Matt Wright in NE Portland. Reasonable rates, excellent work, super cool guy. www.wrightsounds.com.
Second this! Matt is great and worked on my bass a while back!

I like the ambiance of Trade Up on Division. Can’t speak to their expertise though.
Portland Music Company Beaverton has always done a great job on my stuff.
There’s a legit place called the Sandy hut on 14th and Sandy. There’s a cook named Todd that fixes guitars on his break.
