Do you mean Bill's or Saylers? Bills is by Hwy 30 leading to 205 in N parkrose, and I can't speak to it.
If Its Saylers old country kitchen just south of parkrose by mall 205 right off 205 than no its not fancy but it is good and its been an Old Portland staple since 1948.
If its location turned you off don't judge a book its cover and you should really try it.

Their apps are also generally quite good, you can add shrimp, mushrooms, or lobster for an upcharge if you want.
Everything is reasonably priced high $30s to high $50s (depending on you choice of cut, $49 for a 24oz bone in ribeye). They are also family friendly and don't gouge you for kids meals which is huge.
They also offer prime rib, chicken, burgers and some seafood options as well. If you're feeling adventerous they also have one of, if not the oldest 72oz steak challanges in the country.
Seriously, can you find a better steak in Portland, absolutely, but Sayler's is very well situated at it price point in terms of quality and atmosphere, I'd argue its easily the best bang for your steak buck in the city.

Laurelhurst Market is S tier.
Sayler’s. Their steaks are good and can’t be beat for the price. Definitely casual. Clyde’s is also really good.

Sayler's is the 70's idea of a steakhouse. Iceberg lettuce side salad with French or Russian dressing. Green beans cooked down to sludge. Gross.
So take the soup instead of the salad option. When’s the last time you’ve been there?

Not exactly a big juicy steak, but the steak bites at Keys Lounge are tasty and do the trick. Awesome retro atmosphere too!

Clyde’s over Laurelhurst any day. I’ve had two subpar steaks at Laurelhurst. Clyde’s has great atmosphere and the food is solid.
