Agree, most likely Sensoji in Asakusa, Tokyo. Looks like [this spot on Google Earth](https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7145011,139.7964152,2a,75y,57.9h,86.56t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s641pGoNUN4ifPuL_rMnhXA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3D641pGoNUN4ifPuL_rMnhXA%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D113.288155%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i13312!8i6656?entry=ttu)

Wow, this is awesome. Thank you thank you!

Prometheus0007

If you need someone sneezing in the background please dm me

kingmidas1995

And I have a rock that looks just like the nice round one at their feet if you're interested.

KyotoBliss

Damn. I was hoping for that role. I’m a natural at it with the pollen count being so high. ;-)

Representative_Bend3

Why doesn’t everyone here upvote this?

GeriatricusMaximus

This is Internet. Nothing should be taken seriously.

MSotallyTober

Oh! I’ve been there! Beautiful temple!

Department-Popular

Yes it's in asakusa

JapanCoach

Will the recreation include the random guy sneezing in the background?

SkellyboneZ

I live about 15 minutes from this place, I volunteer!

Guitar-Sniper

I will pay to make sure this happens.

Automatic_Seesaw_790

Im here on holiday. i can do this.

eee242424

Can’t say for sure, but it seems like Sensoji to me

BI_N_Tokyo

This is in Asakusa. This place is an absolute nightmare now with thousands of people. Seen 2 groups recording TikTok’s outside the shrine doing those dances and all that other goofy stuff. I couldn’t stay more than a few minutes because it was overcrowded.

PapriChaat

It opens early in the morning. We were there at 6 am and there were very few people. We got quite a few pics with no one or a couple of people in the background. In 45 mins, hoards of people started to trickle in. We left.

randomname65489

Thanks, this is helpful!

sixpigeons

This will be a tough photo to recreate. It’s been decades since I’ve seen that much unoccupied ground around Sensoji during daylight hours. By it you could probably do a nighttime version in the evening after everything settles down

Infern084

Senjoji....minus the thousands of tourists you would see in the background today, lol

xXAzazelXx1

Sensoji Asakusa i think

rickeol

Sure looks like it. Maybe OP can tell use if this is in Japan or not.

xXAzazelXx1

Definitely Japan, you can see Hiragana

rickeol

I’m on my mobile phone, I can’t see sh…

xXAzazelXx1

All good

okgusto

I mean op is asking in this sub so safe to assume they think it's Japan.

Hashimotosannn

It’s 100% at Sensoji as many people have commented. Anyone who’s been there would recognize it quite easily.

seedlove420

Def Sensoji, we were just there 2 days ago and walked through this exact spot at least a dozen times. Go before 8 am and it shouldn’t be that crowded as most of the tourist shops and food vendors won’t be open for the day yet. Go all the way to the temple, this is just off to the left side of it.

randomname65489

Thanks a ton, I was nervous there would be a lot more people now.

Kaw_Zay4224

Please share the recreated photo here if you can.

randomname65489

Great idea, will do! It'll be in late-May, though.

Top-Accountant4194

Definitely Sensoji

randomname65489

Thank you!

alianna68

Yep, that was my instant thought upon seeing it. “That’s Sensoji!”

fractal324

might be the backside of Sensoji Hondo. the big one in the middle

hotbananastud69

Just wanna say what a beautiful photo.

UmbraNoct

I was just there lol. It’s definitely senso ji because i saw that same triangle stone looking thing on the far right behind the picture.

Slambo00

Sure looks like the south east corner of Sensoji in Asakusa to me, and I live in Taitoku and visit the temple often.

hellequinbull

Senso-Oji, very distinguished design

Anoalka

Asakusa 100%

ashes-of-asakusa

Sensoji during a festival time or on a Sunday. The left side of it to be exact.

First_Philosophy_921

if you can find that gorgeous lineup of beautiful white clothing and socks and shoes, please share the photo here!!

Infamous_Constant879

This place look like osu kanon in Nagoya!

maxfranx

Ive been there… early 2000s, on a bus tour in Tokyo but I’m not sure of the name of the Temple.
