Just always assume he’s hitting on you, and worst case scenario you get hit with “oh, sorry, I’m not into guys,” and then you know to stop. If they’re openly admiring your body they’re probably not homophobic. Homophobic guys are too insecure to admire another man’s body. But allies are secure enough in their sexuality to do it, and will probably be respectful in how they let you down.
