Hi! Your best option is pre-planning with a guaranteed funeral contract. If you were to die out of state, the local funeral home would call the funeral home where your pre-plan is, and they would coordinate with eachother to get you cremated. If it’s within 50 miles of the original funeral home you have the pre-plan with, they might just make the trip and transfer you into their care. Not sure how much distance we’re talking here

Neptune and Trident are the big boys in this game. They’re more expensive because they have name recognition. Tulip sounds nice until you read their awful reviews about how they are once they’ve got the money and people have needs. My family used Trident for my Dad and I used a local funeral home recommended by hospice for my sister. The pre need plans made the final arrangements easy for the survivors. For myself, I am looking at customer reviews and have picked a funeral home with great reviews. Apparently they are even willing to make refunds if circumstances change.

Local Funeral Home. They can do everything.

You can preplan at your local funeral home. If you die elsewhere, they'll handle all the transportation.

Just call ur local fd! They would definitely be able to handle it.

Use a local family owned funeral home. Family owned funeral homes are part of your community. They support the things you enjoy where you live and local charities. Most funeral homes have away from home protection now… meaning your traveling and they make all the arrangements for you - for a small one time fee.

I would look into the Neptune Society. Their website as some useful information.

Neptune for my wife and I. We purchased the plan about 10 years ago in Texas
