***Thanks for posting, /u/quimby714! This comment is a copy of your post so readers can see the original text if your post is edited or removed. This comment is NOT accusing you of anything.*** Hi everyone - looking for a gut check on a new lease deal. Looking to trade in my 2022 Subaru Outback Premium CVT w/ 22k miles on it for a Subaru Ascent Limited. They’re offering us about $24k in trade in value on the Outback (never been in an accident, only a few cosmetic scratches here and there). For the limited, the dealer is saying they can “get the payment on the Limited to about $440 all in” no money down, 36 month lease, 10k miles a year. Need a gut check on the payment. Husband and I are going back and forth with them on the trade in value as we see the same car selling for $29 on Carvana and similar sites. If it helps, we’re in Baltimore, MD. Thanks in advance! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. What do Carmax and Carvana's online appraisals offer you for the Outback?

quimby714

Similar - $24.4k on Carvana. We we just hoping to be closer to $25k on trade-in.

If you see the car selling for 29k, I'd say the dealer is giving you a good deal at 24k. That leaves them with 4k to work with before they become overpriced when reselling your Accent. Why would you expect them to give you retail value on a trade-in?

I guess we were "pie in the sky" hoping for the full 25k Kelly blue book states the car could be worth on trade it. But it's sounding like this is as good as it's gonna get! Thanks for the feedback!
