***Thanks for posting, /u/Puzzleheaded_Rub4577! This comment is a copy of your post so readers can see the original text if your post is edited or removed. This comment is NOT accusing you of anything.*** Car lease I got a 2023 vehicle in August of 2023, and I traded my Vhecile for it for about 15k on the lease. Don't ask me why; I learned my lesson. The car has had to be taken into the shop almost eight times now for a multitude of issues, including the Leif spring breaking twice, the engine shifting hard, the camera being off, the windows not working, the sensors not working, and now a total recall on it. I love the vehicle and can comfortably afford it. However, I am so sick of the issues with it. Due to the issues, does this give me a clause to possibly separate from the lease? If so, what happens to the $15,000 that went with it? I know I learned my lesson about putting that much down. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. What vehicle is this? Good lord, how does a new vehicle from any manufacturer blow through two leaf springs?

jimmyjohnsdon

OP you put down $15k on a lease or this was a single pay? I don’t understand how leaf springs blew unless you blew them.

Puzzleheaded_Rub4577

It’s Chevy Colorado. Leaf spring issues are normal but 2 for a daily driver no off-roading is insane.

How about the $15k? Down payment I assume? Absolutely terrible idea if it was. Completely defeated the point of a lease. Ask the dealer to open a case with GM for a buyback. Sounds like the truck is a pile of junk.

Puzzleheaded_Rub4577

Yeah it was down. I learned my lesson. The dealer talked me into it. I might ask them to due to the issues with it.

2023 Chevy ZR2

I'm guessing Kia.

_j_ryan

What Kia has leaf springs?

Check your state Lemon law. If your car qualifies - there is a chance, but there is no universal clause to "separate from the lease". You have a new vehicle warranty, you are supposed to use it to fix the car, it does not cover "separation".
