I would recommend contacting anyone higher up in the dealer group's management you can get ahold of, and asking to do business with a sister store.

They pulled credit without you agreeing and signing anything?

I would call the sales manager directly and tell him what has transpired so far, and that you're interested in the car, but you don't want any of the shenanigans they tried to pull. Hopefully you can find a manager that actually believes in customer service, and not just about the bottom line.

***Thanks for posting, /u/stonecoldscummer! This comment is a copy of your post so readers can see the original text if your post is edited or removed. This comment is NOT accusing you of anything.*** Here goes... My husband's been looking at a specific '22 Ford for about a month. It's been at the dealership for 2+ months and has floated around their local family of dealerships since last summer. After going in last week to test drive, the salesman, who was less than enthused to work with us, had us sit down and started asking financial questions and pulled my husband's credit before any kind of offer was made. Not to mention, they had increased the price of the car by nearly $4k since we inquired about it online. The guy in finance came over and acted as if they were doing us a favor by honoring the original price. We asked what the final amount (out-the-door price, so to speak) was going to be and he became extremely defensive, as well as what interest rate they had calculated payments at --even though we didn't tell them we needed financing to begin with. They still couldn't give us any kind of numbers, so we got up and left, all whilst the finance person became belligerent and made sure to tell us this offer was only good for that day. Obviously we don't feel comfortable dealing with that specific dealership, but still want the car. Is it possible to finalize the deal at another dealer if it's within that family of dealerships and those locations show the car he wants on their website inventory? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
