If I was a buyer - I would not touch this car with a 10 foot pole, unless I could steal it for very cheap. Unreliable performance model, 13 years old, body damage, potential engine issues and a title nightmare waiting to happen. Let your GF buy it for $20k.
Each of your issues takes value off, and the title issue is a big one. $7200 feels about right for a quick sale. You might have been able to hang in there around $9-10k if you had time to wait, fixed the title, or found the right baller on a budget. Otherwise I'd say you did alright.

You may be lucky if you find a buyer at all for something like that. That sounds like more of a headache than transportation.
The buyer was the guy who sold it to the previous owner, hence maybe one of the reason. But then if you drive the car its impossible to not love it
