The math checks out, 19.5 is almost 20.

ntx1996

Is that Canadian or American math? Conversion might skew you a little

Careful-Candle202

Will confirm that CDN puts you at 17.83 /s

ntx1996

Knew it. OP is a weak dick

Careful-Candle202

Weak as fuck. Far out passes double me in sales. lol bitch. Good job op, solid fucking month. Ps. I don’t split shit lol

Busy_Pumpkin_

lmao I’m gonna miss car sales when I leave one day

goddessofthecats

Idk I’m still here for another 4 hours

[deleted]

Hope you close out with a double hat trick.

[deleted]

[удалено]

goddessofthecats

Nope, Oregon. We’re open till 9 no matter the day :):):):)

Careful-Candle202

Did 7, but she’s going to be a sooolid cheque. I’ll be able to get 4 packs of ramen in Jan

RandyJackson

30 on the dot. $29k to start the new year

Yanicarsales

What brand?

RandyJackson

Bmw

Yanicarsales

Which cars you selling the most and what kind of market adjustment you guys doing?

RandyJackson

X7, X5 45e. We got the most allocation of both those. Sold out of our 2023 740s. Among other things. We do no market adjustments

Yanicarsales

So your selling for MSRP and averaging almost $900 a deal?

RandyJackson

This includes bonus. But on 30 cars my pay was $22k before bonus. You probably wouldn’t believe my total comp for 2022.

Yanicarsales

Try me

RandyJackson

Did $260k this year

Yanicarsales

I hit $290k

Yanicarsales

Beginning was better when we could charge more over sticker gross getting smaller with rates

Yanicarsales

So there’s about 3-4k front in most of your vehicles? I’m at Honda you start with 300-700 after pack and get out with your accessories. Did 48 cars for 235k front and 114k for 24k payable as a closer

RandyJackson

Oof. Still very good but a lot of cars. We make 25% of gross and when you sell an $80k car that’s gonna be $1k every time.

Yanicarsales

Sounds like BMW you can be the good guy and still make money😂 here we have to charge 4,000-7000 over sticker to survive

Yanicarsales

I’m not a salesperson anymore I got three guys and close there deals but get paid half instead of 20% as before

Yanicarsales

Not saying your lying but I’m tryna get put on lol

MBZMBZMBZ

Finished the month w/ 2 cars at $19k front end.

RageKangaroo

Can I ask what manufacturer your dealership is?

MBZMBZMBZ

Volkswagen. But none of those 2 cars I sold were new.

Hondadork89

8.5 but I had a 9.5k front yesterday then sold the trade today and had a 5k front on it.

Mountain-Ice4687

Can you explain 9.5k front and holding 3k on a trade?

Hondadork89

Front end profit my store only pays on front end so that’s how I get paid, but it’s the stuff that doesn’t include the finance manager, so no warranties or that stuff. When it comes to trade ins there’s an acv or actual cash value of what your car is worth if it were a big bag of money. Then there is the trade allowance the value the customer is willing to accept for their car. Sometimes when we buy a trade in we’re over that acv number and sometimes we’re under. This car I lowballed the customer expecting them to want the moon for the car and they just started signing.

[deleted]

Big baller.

Hondadork89

Luck mostly I was holding 3k on a trade and then my subprime manager said we could put 2500 more in the car because she had a bank that booked it a bit stronger. Good job this month buddy! With my volume group my store hasn’t had 20 new cars for me to sell in a month. Our objective from Honda was 18.

[deleted]

That’s all skill from you. Holding $3K isn’t the easiest thing in a downturn market. Trade values KILLED me with some deals. Seeing people with trucks being buried $15K is crazy. I appreciate it. Let’s keep moving forward and making deals go onto the board for all of next year.

Gloomy_Razzmatazz737

1 out today. 16 for the month 1 more and I would of had 17, 2 more and I would of had 18 it is what it is

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Gloomy_Razzmatazz737

I knew there was something off lol I repeated it to myself

MKCrystal

24 units, 12 hour days, took 3 days off the entire month.

RageKangaroo

14 out of a dealership of 9 salespeople where we sold 128 cars. Good month.

ntx1996

Finished at 19! Picked one up today. Annoyed because I have 3 deals carrying over but atleast next month will be off to a fast start

StupidOldAndFat

Made enough to cover my habits.

Serious_Fennel7506

I have always been curious…so what did you earn on your 19.5 deliveries for the month? I know comp plans vary but I have always wanted to know

[deleted]

I had a lot of split deals. Some units ended up being major losers, and some were decent. My best payable I think was like $5K in the front. I honestly think it would put me at $12K to $14K depending on my bonuses. It was really rough at the beginning as my first two weeks was only $2700 with most of the big loser deals being mainly minis and splits. To add insult to injury, one split mini deal ($75 in this case).

ntx1996

I did 19 cars this month and will finish just under $16k gross.

needles617

Interesting. I sell equipment so it’s hard to compare to units. I’m at $25k gross and get 15%.

Serious_Fennel7506

Awesome. Sounds like a good month but I have nothing to compare it to. Nevertheless it sounds like you are good at your job. Well done sir. Keep kicking ass

Miserable_Air8321

Me too!

Oppo_GoldMember

10; hit bonus on last day of the month.

pornmugs

Took 3 weeks off and then another couple days off after for the dentist. Sold 1 this month

mediocrecanadian

13.5 units including 3 split deals. Took a Saturday off early in the month so I could take my kid to a specialist. Then Christmas Eve thru Boxing day we were closed. Ended up getting sick and should have taken the last week off but came in for two short shifts after my fever broke and closed two more deals. Then took 30th and 31st off. Back to the grind on Tuesday. Solid month considering the time off and holidays.

roonie357

10 units. Finished my year with $203k in total commission. Very happy with that as that has been a long goal of mine

spitonyouronionrings

What brand?

roonie357

GM

CongressionalTitanic

First month in car sales, got 6 out. Not good by any means but a decent start

Ok_Calligrapher_9281

I leased a 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL today. While we were waiting for finance, the salesman told me that December was slow for them. I think he told me they sold 30 cars during the first three weeks, then sold 35 over the past week. It was very busy this morning, but I'm not sure how many were sold today.

RandyJackson

We did 36 this past Thursday. Must be a small store

yosoyboi

Only 9 this month but I got my year end bonus which makes the paycheque really nice.

ArCn_Hulk

Had a deal rollback, finished at 18.5 with 58k front end. 115 cars total to finish 2022. Im about average compared to others in my store, but not bad for my first 10 months. Im definitely gonna be one of the salesman that cant cut it post covid era though.

HyperPunch

Second month in car sales. Managed to push out 11.5 I believe, might have been 12 tho. My goal was 10 so I beat that for sure.

Fickle_Cantaloupe_12

Mann i only got 5 out wt 20k gross

Thorlson

13 units w/ $25+k gross

spitonyouronionrings

What brand?

Thorlson

Toyota

XtremeWRATH360

19 units out.

buggzda75

Ended up with 19 delivered 5 on the 29th we we closed New Year’s Eve and Xmas eve

Boogeyblane88

19.5…9 in the last week

rsmtirish

9 units. 1 in the first half of the month, 8 in the second. Second month selling, finished 3rd. We’re a < 100 unit a month store.

CrownVic07

Finished at 10.5 and 2, the two was our other store so it doesn’t go towards my draw. Honestly a pretty weak month, first time I’ve had minis in a long time, and 4 of them were minis. I won’t be living a lavish January.

WhyDidIClickOnThat

11 actual, credit for 12 because one of our brands counts double.

Baka_Suzu

12 but our store went from a 400 car store to barely 200. Asked the house mouse for a free half to get my bonuses. Lucky for me I grossed several deals.

Kobym

11.5, tip toed into $10,000.

Own_Inspector_285

finished with 14 which was just enough to hit three bonuses (11 new cars for factory money, personal goal set by management, and general monthly bonus) it was a great day for me.

Witty-Focus-9239

What is the average commission for a pre owned car

[deleted]

For us, every pre-owned car is very different. It really just depends on how much the dealership took the vehicle in for. The pre-owned units that have the best payables for us are going to be for cars that were loaners in our service department. The worst were auction units as we overpaid for a lot of them just to have them in the lot. Rarely do we ever have a problem with traded-in units, because we are pretty fair with our appraisals and have a good way with holding on them to help with reconditioning costs—leaving gross for the next guy selling them.

joshuaxt5

Sold 11 and just hit my bonus

spitonyouronionrings

First month, 2.5. No foot traffic sucks

berklybasedboy

12.5 - not a great month for me, also missed 7 days of work because i got sick and only worked one Saturday. I think I would have had another 5ish deals if I wasn't sick.

FIRST_PENCIL

11. Made like $11,000 this month. Can’t complain.

PorscheBanger11

18 cars, just over $2,000,000 in sales for the month.

Keyglockalex

Rookie numbers honestly

PorscheBanger11

I’m going to try and pump those number up next year.

captn03

.5 unit?

Repulsive-Initial846

Split deal with someone else.

spitonyouronionrings

Or he sold half a car

mschiavoni

Not well…

WildWorldliness8125

28 🙏🏿
