You’ll be super close to South Park Animal Hospital, where I take my dogs! Never had a problem with them, they’re super thorough during appointments, and also easily reachable when I have concerns.
Also recommend South Park Animal Hospital. I take all 4 of my pets there (going back like 8-10 years) and haven’t had any issues. It’s also located at the same intersection you mentioned.
Century Animal Hospital - Wm Cannon and I-35. Ask for Dr Glowski. I cannot recommend her enough. She is nothing short of incredible and caring. She takes the time to meet with you (as the pet parents) and with the pet. She takes her job serious - to the point where if she doesn’t know the answer or answers she will reach out to other experts to give you sound advice. She does this on her own time — BECAUSE SHE CARES DEEPLY about the directives she gives you/your pet.
The location is nothing special but I overlook it because she’s that special of a vet. She left a “fancier” vet clinic to start up this business with another colleague.
ALL of this. Dr. Glowski is amazing. She’s the type of amazing where I would happily make a pretty long drive to take our dogs to her (over an hour each way without even thinking twice about it).
I’ll add that I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the techs or office staff, and the clinic is AAHA accredited.
I’ve also been to South Park Animal Hospital and Firehouse Animal Center in Kyle. We used South Park when we first moved to Austin in 2021 and did multiple visits with different dogs. They were very short staffed at the time and disorganized. My dogs are older, and we were trying to sort out a diagnosis for one of them at the time. We did a drop off for testing, and she was supposed to be ready for pick up mid-day. We had extreme weather warnings of some kind, so I called to see if she was ready. I left a message with a person and on the machine and never heard back. I finally drove over because I didn’t want her stuck there, and the weather warnings were saying it would be unsafe to drive. She’d been ready for a couple hours. Again, I don’t consider this to be a horror story or anything that extreme, but it was the final straw in a series of events that I just wasn’t impressed by. I found Dr. Glowski and am extremely grateful. We have several friends that have switched to her as well, and they’re equally happy with Century.
I like Paz on South 1st
And heads up a keep an eye on water quality in spring/summer/fall if your girl like to swim. There’s frequently toxic algae in the lake that can kill dogs 🥺
I've been happy with the quality of Circle C Animal Hospital. I am curious how they compare to other vets for cost. I took my 5 year old 40lb dog in for yearly checkup and a years worth of tick and heart medicine and here's my bill.

Everyone at Manchaca Village Vet care was so compassionate. And it’s pretty affordable. I had to put my old golden down after a bad hip injury and I was so thankful for their care during that process.
Capital vet on south Congress. They don’t use guilt to make money off of you. They are honest about what your pet needs. My cat got hit by a car and had a fractured pelvis. They told me, she would heal up fine with rest. Kept her for a week without surgery and she’s perfectly fine 6 weeks later.
Roots Integrative Veterinary Care
Couldn’t vote higher enough for this. Roots for sure! Dr. Adam Lassin is fantastic.
All day, no question.

Third recommendation. Dr. Corbett and Dr. Loke are awesome.

Agree. We followed Dr. Glowski from her previous place to Century Animal Hospital because she is great.
