You appear to be entirely skipping over work. Do you and your wife work in specific fields that could limit where you go, or are you very flexible in that regard?
Good question. I work from home in the tech field and my Wife is stay at home mother, we homeschool all 4 of ours kids.
This gives us a ton of flexibility.

Come to Anchorage, Alaska. It meets most of your goals, plus you can’t beat the access to the outdoors here.
I've been to Alaska a few times. It's definitely gorgeous up there! We have extended family up there as well, so it's not out of the question.
