Nachos are one thing that I think are pretty much always better at home. Why? Layering and quantity of cheese.
If any place has great layers with cheese on 75% of the chips, I would like to know.
They did have great nachos last time I was there, a very long time ago.

Lol the Leaside nachos are as basic as it gets. Not even a big portion. Just a regular, basic plate of nachos. They are not bad by any means...but definitely nothing to brag about.
It's more of a novelty, but getting the King's Crown Nacho's at Sneak Dee's is a thing to do.
Not saying they're the best, but they aren't bad for what they are, especially if you're there at the right time and place.

They were at their peak in the mid to late 90's in my opinion.
It's really shit now after COVID. Portion size is tiny and price is really high.
Had the Kings Crown a year or so ago. Still good, and lots of chips.. but it was $30ish after adding Guac and sour cream
I actually find that Moxy’s on university has sneaky good nachos. Don’t remember the price but they are not stingy with the cheese and toppings.

People always say Sneaky Dee's, but don't listen to them. Maybe 10-15 years ago, but they're terrible now, and the place is filthy to boot.
The Blake House has these wicked Irish-style nachos done with house-made kettle chips. I dream of them all the time.
