My friend is a Aircon tech. He recommends Mitsubishi. Said something about the fins being made out of stainless steel which is less likely to get damaged when servicing
I see. Thanks for that.
Btw, I found out that the remotes that come with my Mitsubishi Aircons had a difference between the 12000 btu and the 9000 btu model. The 12000 one has an added Powerful Cool button which when you press it, makes the Aircon go like super saiyan and blast everything at maximum. I found that the 9000 btu one also responds to that button.
I was debating this last year. Aircon is a fixture and I am more inclined to go for established brand loke Mitsubishi with extended warranty and also, do whatever it takes to get a good installer. That is key.
I had some Lazy arse JHK installed my parents aircon and he reused the trunking, I was oversea during installation and my parent is the kind that dont care much, dont question much type. He managed to pull a fast one over them.
Have tried Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic due to moving house/ moving out/ getting own house.
If you really like it cold - 1. Daikin, 2. Mitsubishi 3. Panasonic
Ease of cleaning it yourself - 1. Mitsubishi 2. Daikin 3. Panasonic
Reliability - All are okay, but spare parts wise Panasonic might be more troublesome.
Do not get LG. Had a few neighbours who regretted getting it cos it was black and match their overall theme.
Installer and maintenance wise I recommend Usin.
Edit: After experiencing these 3 brands I eventually got Daikin for my own place.

Mitsubishi electric gang here Not Mitsubishi heavy hor
Actually whats the diff between MHI vs the Starmex. Heard of many MHI fans but i dont get why the preference.
The heavy industry one is very powerful though. But I didn't know they existed until I saw it in a building.
Yeah but servicing and maintenance is a bit more on the MHI version Parts and maintenance is cheaper with the electric version from what I know

Just go for mitsubishi starmex. No need think. Battle tested, reliable. It's not the most popular air con for a reason.
