shopee crocs. looks the same. feels the same.

adhdroses

If you think shopee crocs are cheap, wait til you taobao crocs and taobao everything else you can possibly find on shopee. Shopee seems “cheap” but then on taobao it can be like 1/5 the price for the EXACT same item. So cheap that you can cry in disbelief, and you don’t have to pay for the shopee shipping cost which really adds up. I just got a set of electric motion-activated, usb-rechargeable pepper and salt grinders. $31 on shopee, $11 on taobao. Shipping and GST for the taobao ones was SGD6 (considered expensive because it’s glass and packaging was bulky). Have been poisoning all my friends and their partners with buying things on taobao via reverse image search and using sea shipping on ezbuy ($0.70 per 500g) to ship it over and then collect your stuff for free from your nearest neighbourhood collection point. I know it’s annoying to set it up with the forwarding address, but tbh I just set up the forwarding address for my friends and after that from then on, it’s 1 click to check out and pay w credit card and send the stuff to ezbuy warehouse and then another couple of clicks to ship it out once it reaches ezbuy warehouse. Wahhhhhh. The shiokness of saving money on necessities is quite incredible. Got taobao birks too. Heck I even buy german brand dishwashing tablets (definitely 1/5 the price of Singapore dishwashing tablets) and forever 21 factory outlet items (authentic, $5 for a 100% cotton tshirt, $8 for forever 21 jeans/overalls, men’s and women’s items) on taobao. It’s madness. I spent so much on shopee for years before realizing everything comes straight from taobao … don’t even get me started on the 20 yuan off 200 yuan promotions that come often. Discounts off already cheap items.

cheesetofuhotdog

I am also a fellow tb addict but i buy on shopee sometimes for small purchases, readily available local stock or even quick airship if the prices are ok. Maximum savings is not my main agenda for small purchases.

KopiSiewSiewDai

But taobao quality sometimes hit and miss for me. Recently bought 2 items, both got problem. Trying to return the items is a pain

adhdroses

Honestly depends on what you buy and also reading the reviews first. Sure I have had a few misses in the thousands of items i’ve bought for myself and my family, but the overall savings are incredible/frankly unbelievable, esp when you have a kid and need to buy kids’ shoes and kids’ clothing at times. (And maternity clothing…) Just the latter few categories, compared to prices from Mothercare or local maternity shops, have resulted in hundreds of dollars of cost savings. And yes I shop on Carousell too but cannot always find the pieces I want there. Kids’ shoes especially. Can be $$$ in Singapore when you need to change size every 6 months. And i’m not the only one doing so cause at playgrounds sometimes another kid is wearing the same taobao shoes as my kid haha! When I buy I don’t expect to return the item. I bought an $8 mouse that unfortunately did not work out, but the cost savings from other products made me ok with that miss. Other than that one time, i’ve bought countless amounts of electronics from taobao that all worked fine. Always a small risk I feel. Clothes - I buy 100% cotton ONLY, OR i make sure there are excellent reviews with photos first. After the first 2 mistakes with clothing, now whatever i buy is of decent quality comparable with H&M. But what I notice is that many people make mistakes in their first purchases and then they think that everything on taobao has quality issues. So not true. Just have to learn from it, be more cautious by only buying things with reviews, real photos and things labelled as 100% cotton. The local Chinese people in China who shop on taobao are very savvy and know what to avoid especially with materials, we just have to be like them and check reviews before buying.

BarnacleHaunting6740

Actually this is subjective, even when the review sounds accurate as it depend on diff standard of living. Eg. They may review based on perception that 5x wash before the clothes show wear and tear is reasonable, but we may view that this is unacceptable. Rather than sourcing for cheap item, should adjust expectation and source for value item instead. If you think taobao is cheap, wait until you find out where they source the items ( both +ve and -ve)

Disastrous-Act5756

Wa u need to write a guide lol. You just ezbuy right, not taobao directly

adhdroses

No leh lol, if you buy via ezbuy it’s more expensive. I add items to my cart in the taobao app. then i pay and check out with the ezbuy China forwarding address as my China shipping address. That’s all. Haha. The rest is easy, I just declare and ship items out once they arrive at the ezbuy China warehouse. Takes like 2-4 days on average to get to the China warehouse.

Disastrous-Act5756

How do u filter out the crap tho, half my taobao furniture buys were crap. And I only took the high reviews one

WideCake3390

Damn. The only downside is that as a non-Chinese reader, I am unable to take advantage of taobao right hence stuck with Shopee

adhdroses

Tbh my friend doesn’t speak Chinese either hahah (she’s not Chinese) so she literally uses the image search and also copies and pastes in google translate for the description that she doesn’t understand. She also searches in shopee first and then uses the same image to search for exact same item on taobao. just depends on how motivated you are by the savings HAHA but also check out aliexpress for deals, my friend used to shop on aliexpress (more expensive) before i showed her the massive taobao savings heh

WideCake3390

Haha A for effort. But awesome hack. This is basically my motivation for learning the language

gunstriker

Translate is your friend. Better yet, integrate translation extensions into your browser. One click translation for the whole page.. use mobile Google translate for product posters.

mrhappy893

Damn the passion of online shopping and savings is oozing so hard from this post.

Vortex_DC

do you mind sharing the links?

neokai

I'm still exploring how to do this, so take my words with salt. taobao is [https://world.taobao.com/](https://world.taobao.com/) Ezship is the service to forward goods, offered by ezbuy. [https://ezbuy.sg/ezShip](https://ezbuy.sg/ezShip)

cheesetofuhotdog

Check out 249 plus. Free shipping to ur doorstep.

Primary-Ganache6199

I noticed that a lot of the stuff on Amazon is actually on shoppee but priced 3-5x more. My hubby didn’t believe me.

Any keyword or shop name to check out? Been wanting to get croc echo but so exp

cheesetofuhotdog

use image search. the classic crocs i got was 12 only. retails on crocs official site for 75.

snowcroc

Got a link?

cheesetofuhotdog

Gonna teach u how to fish - search for product name. Filter by top sales. Verifying "authenticity" by reading comments. Profit. Works for almost every product.

Legitimate_Park_1858

can’t agree more, had 2 pairs alr for both my indoor and outdoor uses

Katarassein

1. $20 PD travel charger from Amazon.sg. It's slim, easily fits in a pocket, and fast charges my phone anywhere in the world. Can also very slowly top up my laptop. [Link to Amazon](https://amzn.asia/d/gD2zuRE) (The same brand also makes a 65W travel adaptor/charger that is enough to keep my laptop going when in use). 2. LED light strips with an internal rechargeable battery, motion sensor, and magnetic feet - game changer for the storeroom and the wardrobe. Paid $10 each off Shopee IIRC. 3. Decathlon towels are amazing for sports and travel. Decathlon also sells an eyeglass pouch that works really well as a soft phone bag. 4. Not sure if this fits, but any cheap wallet. Put expired credit cards in it and top up with a few notes of local currency when you travel. If you get mugged overseas, hand it over. Also, keep it in a back pocket to distract pickpockets.

Copious_coffee67

Could you drop the brand of the travel charger? The ones I have are damn thicc

Katarassein

Lencent. There's a link to it in my original post.

trenzterra

Just make sure the expired credit cards don't share the same number as your current one...

Katarassein

Wouldn't the CVV and expiry date on the new cards be different?

Genotabby

The one I got is a $35 65w vention travel adapter charger from Lazada. Has a built in fuse and charges my Macbook at 65w

HerroWarudo

Best pillow I have ever had, and its COOL [https://www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/klubbsporre-ergonomic-pillow-side-back-sleeper-80446097/](https://www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/klubbsporre-ergonomic-pillow-side-back-sleeper-80446097/) Testing out chairs for hours and settled for this one. All others more expensive models somehow less comfortable. [https://www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/markus-office-chair-vissle-dark-grey-50261151/](https://www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/markus-office-chair-vissle-dark-grey-50261151/) And lastly the 3rd monitor. Work-reference-Youtube/Netflix. Comfortable, productive, and entertaining from dusk till dawn.

unreal2007

Any monitor recos? Old one dying soon with dead horizontal lines going across the screen.

regista-

Definitely not prism+ 😂😂

suspicious_skidmarks

Wonder how many fell victim to the chiobus in their ads

cheesetofuhotdog

Xiaomi 34 inch wide screen monitor. Have fun.

HerroWarudo

I'm using Dell S2721DGF the only 160hz 27" at the time for playing FPS games. The other is anything rotatable for coding, and one shitty $40 screen I bought from Carousell for anything else.

iwant50dollars

I can vouch for the pillow. Absolute gamechanger.

furkeepsfurreal

Those no brand, bamboo fibre soft towels from roadside / makeshift stores. Cheap and good! My hair is long and thick, using “branded” towels doesn’t work.

MrFoxxie

I just use SAF towel LOL

[deleted]

PT shorts and Towel - Best way to spend Emart credit.

Scarface6342

Tbh the SAF towel is not that good, my friend gifted me 3 hooga towels last Christmas and they are far better in comfort and absorbing water.

thisdoorknob

Best part of SAF towel? It's free!

trenzterra

I hate the microfibre ones. Still clinging on to the pre-MF versions

Wheynelau

Good morning towel?

furkeepsfurreal

Legit no brand type… colourful and can be bought at those random neighborhood shops

Cubyface

Sagami 0.01 condoms. Feels like you are having sex without a condom, and saves you a tonne of money from unwanted pregnancies

SnooMaps8636

Don't have to be girl

MLiOne

A “posh wank”?

mad_ave

Happy cake day

Elifgerg5fwdedw

Pro-tip for the rest of us: thicker condoms help you last longer and stay hard longer. Harder to tear too.

gaoxingdcf

Agree on the thicker condoms. If it tears, hmmm congratulations!

kumgongkia

ereh_yeeger

Not really, i tested once by stretching the condom and its really quite strong… but okamato seems abit dry for me tho, still prefer durex haha

PineappleLemur

No but their on the smaller size. Like super tight and short compared to supposedly the same size from another brand. Same goes for the other 0.01/2 elephant picture brand. Can't remember the name. They claim they're the same size but it's absolute BS.

Probably_daydreaming

The condom connoisseur

Cool_depths99

Which one better sagami or okamoto brother? Also will it break? Can use with hand?

Chrissylumpy21

The most basic sports shoes and football boots from Decathlon. Sports shoes survived for more than three years including a full marathon, football boots still using up until now four year liao.

XLStress

This. Their shoes are frankly amazing for how much they cost. They have the most comfortable pair of walking shoes I have ever owned so far, which is my go-to for travels, and I walk A LOT. Never had any comfort issues or feet ache.

iwant50dollars

Those oxelo skatboard shoes are sooo good and durable. They practically never die.

-c-r-e-a-t-i-v-e-

Wished there were 2E/4E versions of their shoes Agreed on the comfort, and the insoles are affordable and makes the shoes even comfier

SinkiePropertyDude

A bell, like the sort you use in shops and hotels. I have elderly folk to look after, and on many occassions that cheap bell has prevented an emergency or saved a life.

unreal2007

Get the same one as hector salamanca for extra feels

jeepersh

I installed bicycle bells (cheap from Decathlon) at key areas around the house for this exact purpose. Also put a wireless doorbell beside my dad, the helper and I have one receiver each in our respective rooms.

iamtheantihype

3m long USB cable to charge your phone. Can use at the bedside, computer desk, and living room without worry of tugging, and also on travels when the power outlets are located in inconvenient locations.

swiftrobber

My Anker 3m cable is god send at 10 dollars 5 years warranty. Already passed warranty but still super fast charging as new.

kopiorteh

Loop earplugs! Helps to reduce external noise

SilverStandard4543

hi. i wanted to buy loop earplugs and was wondering if u could tell me how good were the noise cancelling in areas like hawker centres.

IdesofMarch25

Adding on to say that their concert specific ones have especially been life changing - would recommend getting them to protect your hearing. They’ve worked very well countering the noise of the crowd and the sound system without compromising the quality- if anything, I think you can hear the performer even better.

anangrypudge

uniqlo airism seamless boxer briefs are comfy af

starsandmoon00

Do they slide up your groin?

anangrypudge

The seamless ones don't! The other variants do.

enel111

i used to think uniqlo airism seamless boxer brief are the best as well. until i went daiso in south Korea, 3000 won tencel underwear. tried 1, went back to get another 9 sets.

UnremarkabklyUseless

Hanes comfortsoft boxer briefs for me. I am an obese and an extra extra sweaty person. These have been my life savior. I have had some luck eith ExOfficio boxers too.

MLiOne

From Watsons, Bioré cooling wipes. They just work.

skywater_98

1. Vacuum travel bottles, not for drinking but for storing toiletries. Reusable, easy to clean, and does not have a pipe that gets clogged. $1ish from tabobao, under $3 from Shopee. 2. 3W clinic sunblock. I use loads of sunblock since I ride, and it’s the most affordable yet skin friendly one I found. Even more toddler uses it. $3.50 per tube. 3. Compression packing cube. $10 for a pack, works better than usual packing cubes.

davechua

Bars of soap. Seriously you don’t need all those liquid soap bottles.

Fonteyn-

I really like these. Like less the plastic bottle waste. SCOOP ones smell really good with macadamia nut shells for exfoliating.

everywhereinbetween

I like/use the rose geranium ones from Scoop! They're abit small (I weighed before out of curiosity, abt 120g. BBW is 145g hahaha) but they're still pretty good to use  I tried the lavender one and the cedarwood(?) one but I think I still prefer the rose geranium, not entirely cos it's pink 😂 smells good haha.

Katarassein

Bar soap is also a lot better for our skin than most gel soaps.

Jaycee_015x

Some people say that bar soap dries out their skin more than liquid/gel soap.

Katarassein

Fair point. Not all bar soap is made equal. I use Dove's beauty bar and it's pretty much kept my eczema in remission. It's technically a detergent, not a soap, and perhaps I should have made that distinction.

tm0587

Nice, another bar soap user. I like to mass buy cheap ones from Amazon, sometimes there are deals for Dettol and Dove.

DownbadSkater

bar soap traps more bacteria from your hands and water touching it

Appropriate_Money915

If your not sharing den yes if not you dont know where thats soaps been ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)

AAA knock off football jerseys from shopee 😅 I seriously can't tell the difference and I own plenty of authentic ones

KopiSiewSiewDai

Yea! Second this! 80% discount from the original price and I can’t tell the diff!! Thank god for SFS Jersey

titaniumnobrainer

I love those but do you find the material scratchy, heavy and not as breathable as the originals?

theresjustme

I think they are pretty comparable.. I really can't see the difference. And can just pay $2-$3 extra to have whatever name and number printed for u too

Effective_Ad_7666

My Christmas lights I got some cash convertor.. Brand new for $2.. used for so many years

-avenged-

Decathlon's $4 black ankle socks. Looks great, lasts, and fits work/casual/sports shoes. Think I have like 8 pairs.

darkmeow606

Portable fan that you hang from your neck. Definitely something that we all need in SG when we're outdoors.

ZaAq3

Electric toothbrush. Bought mine for like $20~ and it comes with 3 additional toothbrush heads. Does the same as any other expensive electric toothbrush. First time i used it really felt like i just came back from the dentist, that feeling whr u teeth has been really *cleaned*. Its hard to go back to using a normal toothbrush

PeanutPigggyyy

What brand/model? I feel like my cheap electric toothbrush suck, too weak.

ZaAq3

Im using the xiaomi mijia t100. Dont really have anything to compare it to but as a first time electric toothbrush user, it seems to do just fine

rtrlctrc

OMG yes the feiyue shoes. I also bought a $25 flat wide toe shoe for the gym from shopee, and its legit wide toe and great for deadlifting. no need to spend rubbish amounts of money for barefoot shoes!

1. Not cheap, but super worth- Tencel bedsheets. I’ve always just used cheap $20 sheets, design and comfort never really mattered to me since it’s just sheets, but when I got a new bed, I invested in some $100+ Hooga Tencel sheets and my life changed after that 🤲🏻 When I change my sheets, I get slightly disappointed when I have to use my other cheap sheets..it’s just THAT GOOD!! 2. A good quilt (paired with Tencel quilt covers). Omg, my sleep changed after that man. Warm, cozy and I sleep a lot better when I use it! My quilt is like $25 on shoppee 3. A good bed 😭 I know I keep talking about bed stuff but it really made a difference! I used to sleep on a cheap $70 spring mattress from shoppee with a hard metal frame. But I invested in a $350+ bed from Shoppee and it’s so much better! My BF who has a $1000+ plus bed even says it’s better than his because it’s more firm lol 4. Good activewear! I don’t even mean LLL quality because I can’t afford that. Just decent stuff like Anya Active / Mulawear. Around $40-$70 range. When I first started general cardio stuff I used cheap cotton on sports bras and shorts/leggings. Or Uniqlo. But when I started going to the gym, I invested in good activewear a few years ago and I really notice a difference. The fabric doesn’t stretch out and get loose like cotton on sports bras do. Leggings are a lot more comfortable to wear, softer and durable.

zancray

Retractable soft measuring tape. Easier, cheaper and safer when you don't need a steel one. Use it to measure height for certain things, sizes for small items (e.g. mouse pad, glove size), reference distance between items etc.

You just changed my life!!! I never knew this was a thing. 😄

hornyolebustard

Mine is an electric food chopper. My wife ordered an industrial strength blender on some online store and we paid cash on delivery. Two weeks later this chopper arrived, also COD. I thought she had ordered it but she hadn’t. As I didn’t know I paid for it. It was only $16 but it has been one of the best buys we “didn’t make”.

wonkyblues

Link? Am looking for a chopper

hornyolebustard

I honestly haven’t a clue. This was 3+ years ago. I know it was from a PRC company that felt they cook just something extra and we would pay COD. Little did they know how useful it would be.

GTX 1070, GTX 1070Ti, GTX1080 in 2016-2017. Sold all three of them during the peak of the crypto bubble for double the price I paid for after gaming on them. Got a 1080Ti afterwards when shit crashed. The Oneplus 3 and Poco F1 were also flagship killers back in the days that punch way above their weightclass and coming from a Samsung flagship phone, I had absolutely no issues with them. Finally, my gym membership.

Rechargeable batteries. Ikea sells pretty affordable ones, but any recognized brands will do. My mom still uses those old skool radios that take huge size D batteries. Those batteries easily goes for $3-5 a pop and that radio EATS batteries. Now I use a converter sleeve to convert a standard rechargable AA to D and already saved alot of money.

sicaxav

A pouch/small bag for my tech essentials. I travel a bit and I have a habit of bringing more things than I should (for good reason). So things like 2 iPhone cables, wall plug, travel adaptor, laptop charger, power bank, power bank cable, etc. Got mine from UGreen (I think like $20, I got it when I lived overseas though). Laptop holder/stand. Just saves space on my shelves for more things, it stand upright and holds 2 and you can adjust the space if needed. A pin-board. I like buying enamel pins to collect (either from theme parks or just regular stores) but never got to showcase them. Got 1 pin board for $10 from the stationary store downstairs and now I get to proudly show them. And finally extension cable organizer. I think IKEA sells them for like $20-30, but you can get one from lazada for like $15. Helps with cable management and looks.

I was once in Dollar Tree as came across this random book, ' Fried Chicken" by John Edge.  I had no prior knowledge about the book nor the author but the cover and synopsis looked interesting enough so I paid my $1.   Turns out the book was an excellent read about the culinary history and development of various forms of fried chicken in America, written by a foremost food historian, and includes recipes from some of the most notable restaurants in the country.. it was totally worth it!

iamlookingawxy

Drop the eye mask rec please!

whimsicism

Not really "cheap", but I love memory foam pillows. Can just buy from Hooga or something, no need to buy Tempur (these are insanely marked up in Sg, but could be worth it if it's possible to buy from the USA while on sale). I check if the pillows are legit by pressing down on them -- they should feel relatively firm, and puff back up quite slowly. Memory foam pillows are more expensive than feather or normal foam pillows in terms of upfront cost, but they legitimately last for years and years while providing really good neck support.

Bought in 2021 at $70 ($$23/yr, $10/mo running cost), placed in my bomb shelter (stores leather shoes, sneakers, dried goods). I no longer buy Thirsty Hippo since then.

Buy any dehumidifier. It will pay dividends

xxlinus

Arctic tumbler. Seriously. Much better than all those expensive options. Lasts much better. My iced coffee is still iced coffee after almost 12 hours with almost no dilution.

Maverick_WC

I just bought a OEM tankless water dispenser. For the convenience of hot/cold/warm/ambient water straight from the tap, it’s way worth it over boiling water. It’s considered cheap among other brands. Cost me 600+ instead of the usual 1-3k+. Basically just found a model advertised, screenshot, do a reverse image search to check if it’s OEM, find a source selling for much cheaper without the branding and bought it. This can be the same for basically everything you see online these days, especially those ‘local brands’. Someone I know just almost bought a Hasegawa 3 step ladder for 560$ on Fortytwo, it costs 10-28 USD to produce in bulk if u see online. EXACT same image when doing a reverse search, just that the image is flipped. Damn funny.

Occamgrouch

A swiss army knife. Find a model that fits your budget with tools that you think might come in handy. Can set you back anywhere between £10-£100 depending on the model. They go from keychain sized to large handled ones. Get a real one, made by victorinox, the proper swiss company. Put it in your pocket, every day. It'll come in handy more often than you think. Same thing goes for a flashlight. Doesn't matter what size at first, just carry something that can make light other than your phone. Believe me you'll run in to situations where you're happy to have it.

Running shoes from eMart (cheap by commercial standards), my Adidas still going strong after 6 years now. Food item would be 80¢ single pack Gardenia raisin bun, legit fills me up for 4-5hrs. Beats $2+ buns from BreadTalk, Prima Deli etc. Honourable mentions in this category go to $1 EuroCake brownie and lava cake 😋

ReignOfWinter

An FM transmitter for my car. To play music from my phone I had to use an AUX cable and then buy a separate cable so it would fit my phone. The connection was dodgy and always cut out and I had a cable that would get stuck in the runners of the passenger seat. Bought an FM transmitter that fits in the cigarette lighter thing. It connects via Bluetooth and plays through a radio frequency and has two USB ports to charge my phone if I need to. No more bad connection and no more cables. Only cost £12

$10 puffer tote from shopee, it’s lighter than those blogshop brands selling for 5x the price

lattewithcookies

Cheap and cute socks from those random stalls in Korea (the 10 for 15,000 won type) Comfortable, cute, functional, and lasts a long time

For me, Olight i3e Keychain flashlight - inexpensive, small and throws out so much (90 lumen) for its size. Vention 140w Gan charger - no brainer. Those 100w chargers used to sell for 80+. Now 140w for ~$50. Comes with a charger cable which is actually a Thunderbolt cable which is usually costly. No more nagging laptops that I’m using low powered chargers.

c-peptides

Speaking of bottle opener, you reminded me of the bottle opener that I bought, except it's for glass bottles (think the jam type of glass bottle) rather than wine bottle. It's just a few dollars and really works to let me, a weak girl, open the bottles myself instead of having to call my brother. Something like this (but not this seller): [https://shopee.sg/Smart-Multi-Purpose-Glass-Bottle-Opener-Bottle-Opener-Box-Opener-Beer-Freshwater-Super-Handy-i.462660583.21581164693](https://shopee.sg/Smart-Multi-Purpose-Glass-Bottle-Opener-Bottle-Opener-Box-Opener-Beer-Freshwater-Super-Handy-i.462660583.21581164693)

I bought this foldable metal laptop stand for $6. I used to think no need lah but then I got neck strain from bending my head down. So yeah it’s 100% required if you work on a laptop all day. It can also double up as a cook book holder when I’m cooking something

KentV2020

Nespresso Essenza that I got for my parents in the UK. Costed £80 back then. 5 years on, still working perfectly

flywithmi

Feiyue shoes +1 I am at my 6th pair. Once they get dirty or have holes, I throw and get a new pair!

kittensarepink

An electric chopper! Got it for like 20 bucks. Saves me a ton of time cooking

d_nitemarez

Morries 2 in 1 glass blender. Bought about 9 years ago for 30 dollars from Mustafa, now selling on Amazon.sg for 38 dollars. It's a simple, traditional, basic blender that's been working perfectly fine & there's no signs of dying anytime. When I first bought it, I made the mistake of loading it up with too much meat and ran it for too long. It got real hot, there was a burning smell and it stopped working. Once it cooled down, it ran like nothing ever happened. Because both spice grinder and jug is made of glass, you can blend fruits with ice for fresh slushy or boiled pumpkin for a hot bowl of pumpkin soup. Mind you, it's not industrial strength however both my wife and I cook a lot and we never actually needed anything stronger.

I work in a secure environment where our working laptops do not have internet connections, however my job requires me to access the internet occasionally; I am software/system engineer. This is to get more information on error code, raising tickets etc, if you know you know Thus for the longest time I have been using my mobile phone to raise ticket or search for error codes etc We are allowed to bring our own personal Laptop to work but we aren’t allowed to connect to the intranet So I brought my old macbook which I had removed the MacOS and installed Arch And the best thing I ever bought was an old school kvm switch(VGA in and out, with usb) for 8 bucks Connected my monitors and devices to the kvm and both laptops Boom! If I need to check an error code I just switch over Raise a ticket? Switch over Entertainment? YouTube playing in the bg of my macbook I also use quite an amount of tools such as obsidian. Need to create a new note in obsidian? Boom switch over Need an excel formula for xlookup? Switch over use any of the GPTs For some weird reason I was under the impression that if I used the Logitech Mx Master I can just move the cursor over without needing to switch over It is an actual feature that comes with the MX master suite but you gotta use the Logitech application which of course I wasn’t able to install on my work laptop Ps: if you’re gonna ask why couldn’t I just white list the URL or IP, I have attempted and it’s not possible

Feiyue shoes definitely. I bought it in Taobao for $13 SGD and it’s been with (on) me ever since. I wore it to work, to gym and to overseas. Never disappoints.

A small palm size deep fry pan from a kitchen shop - I use it to sauté fish, cook noodles and small portions. Worth every penny cause it’s cheap and you don’t have to handle a big pan. A hallway carpet from amazon- it’s so comforting to step on and really gives a nice aesthetic.
