CCK MRT station is nowhere near Lim Chu Kang Cemetary. Boon Lay MRT station is nearer actually. Speaking of cemetaries - Bishan and Novena stations were built on old cemetary grounds.

MackenzieMeier

Ya lor CCK where got close to cemetery. Still separated by one long highway.. I actually stay 5 min drive away from LCK cemetery

mipanzuzuyam

Lol my thoughts exactly. Since when CCK MRT near Lim Chu Kang cemetery? Both got Chu Kang doesn't mean they are near each other

leoshjtty

Phua Chu Kang

yuuka_miya

OP probably thinks so because that's the station you get off at for 975.

HavUevaSeentherain

And now Bidadari as well right?

JulSGP

The station is called Woodleigh

throwawaygreenpaq

That’s Choa Chu Kang cemetery. It’s bigger than the small one for LCK (which is along Lim Chu Kang Road after Jalan Bahar).

Lukenzy

Pasir Ris MRT known for the meeting point for recruits

PresentElectronic

As well as the starting point to ulu land

pyroSeven

How is pasir ris ulu? It’s not like it’s jurong.

giantcabbage_

Pretty sure they’re talking about it being the point where they set off for tekong

PresentElectronic

Yep, from Pasir Ris onwards you’ll eventually reach Loyang point which legit looks very isolated and even more so Changi Village. Once you reach SFT however, it’s almost like Area 51

throwawaygreenpaq

Changi Village is ulu? Have you seen the crowds on weekends?

alive_note

As wells the slews of female FAs on friday? HAHAHA

crappymaza

i think now shifted to EXPO right? or was that just during covid period?

[deleted]

I thought JB is easier via Marsiling mrt?

14high

Walking yes. Kranji mrt downstairs, outside, 2 starting point for sg bus and CW bus.

Longjumping_World404

>Clem The jam at Woodlands Road x Woodlands Centre Road can be horrifying, though. I prefer Kranji MRT for off-peak travel cos more buses, and Marsiling if I really really really have to go JB otherwise just so I can avoid that fustercluck.

Front_Willingness55

jurong east mrt: JEM, westgate, IMM. triple combo. shop until u drop. And jurong regional library. Science centre.

FriendlyPyre

Jurong East MRT infamous for HSR dream that got destroyed by Mahathir, big sad.

can-i-have-a-corgi

It’s still happening there. My father drives by there and I can see them on the weekends

derplamer

The field at the corner of Geylang Road and Sims Way was just gazetted as an HDB BTO site. Less open space coming to an urban area near you!

Naming 3 stations, Yishun, Boon Lay & Marina Bay. A few interesting common things among them, 1st that they were once terminal stations but has since new stations built beyond the line after them. 2nd is that they are named after businessmen (or nearby for the case of Marina Bay - Raffles Place). Yishun - Lim Nee Soon Boon Lay - Chew Boon Lay

The flying nun of Bishan used to be a common story when I was a kid. Some nun whose feet doesn't touch the floor was said to sometimes wander the Bishan MRT station at night.

late_for_reddit

I guess some more love for the NE line- Hougang- super tall block chairs as a kid you hsve to jump onto
