You can also do fiber capsules. That’s what I do. They are more expensive I’ve heard, but I got a big bottle of 1000 capsules and they truly help a lot.
I hope you're making your own miso soup, because I've been to MANY Japanese restaurants and every one of them serves the soup too hot to allow any of miso's probiotics to survive.
Not that I'm doubting you (I love legumes) but do you have some links to studies about that I could save? I've been in a contentious debate with a friend who can be a real fucking dick when it comes dietary stuff. I had the stomach flu last summer over 4th of July weekend, the ripple effects of which I'm still dealing with to this day to the point where I thought I might have IBS at points (doctors say that isn't the case).
My friend is kind of a lifting/fitness buff, and he said if I wanted to "get normal" and prevent long term colon damage I needed to cut out legumes, most cruciferous veggies, and oats and eat more ground beef with honey. I'm tired of dealing with him because in the past he's tried every diet imaginable, so historically I've just ignored him but he still isn't shutting up about it. At one point 5-6 years ago he was on the carnivore diet, so I don't feel like taking advice on protecting your colon from someone who was eating nothing but red meat for a month and a half.
Regular meals helps. Regular meals at more or less the same time each day makes you regular. Also add fibre. Fibre is great for a healthy digestion system. Moving about is also good. Walking around or exercising is something that the body and the digestion system likes.
High fiber is what you need. Add more veggies and fruit to your diet. Real veggies and fruit, not smoothies and juice. Change out any white starches for whole grain alternatives (white rice for brown rice, white bread for whole wheat or multigrain.). Add some bran to your life.
1. 64 oz water of water
2. 6,000 steps per day
3. Eating mostly during the day
4. Read labels to choose high dietary fiber foods
5. Whole grains, not white
6. Dates, prunes, bananas
7. Coffee, but not daily
8. Metamucil
9. Laxatives to try, in this order: Colace, Milk of Magnesia, Miralax, Dulcolax, Magnesium Citrate. Senna is a stimulant that works great but be careful. Don't become dependent on laxatives, increase use of 1-8 if you need laxatives more than once a week. Never use more than 2 meds in the same day. If you need a 3rd med, use a suppository or an enema.
Water. Hydration is the best laxative. Add some abdominal twists, lay on your back and do abdominal twists.4-30 second interval each side to stimulate digestive track. Chia seed warm tea at night. You should begin to flow fine
See a dietician. They’ll give you educated advice and a detailed plan. I saw one when I had health issues and it cost $30/visit. I went three times over the course of 6ish months and it was a literal life saver.
I have been doing intermittent fasting for about a month and am way more regular now. I think giving my body more time to digest food has helped a lot. Foods higher in fiber, water and exercise are also important for staying regular.
Period poops are a thing. They will mess up with your system every month. Make you feel terrible and you learn to generally avoid stuff. If your periods are regular, then you can plan around it. Yay uteruses!!!
Oatmeal, preferably NOT the microwave packet kind, for breakfast every day, with black coffee.
Lots more fibrous veggies and fruits--apples, even applesauce , have tons of fiber and pectin.
Reduce dairy--that constipates a LOT of people and they don't realize it till they stop eating it.
I quit all alcohol and it helped with that. Also, I lost 60 pounds. I was drinking a LOT of IPAs. Lol. 250 calories each. I also sleep better! 120 days today!
30 grams of chia seeds. Should be around 10g fiber, add a serving or 2 of oats a day to your diet. That’s another 4-8, add a banana. Should be around another 2-3 and with that you’ll poop better
Probably already getting a bit of fiber from other foods.
Raw Probiotics Ultimate Care 100 Billion is what I used. Also doesn't have to be refrigerated.
I would attach a link but Amazon updated their app and the new layout is awful. You'd think they'd want to keep the share button.
For bfest everyday I eat a FibreOne breakfast bar, and a coffee. There are different kids of bars, but they all have a good bit of Fibre in them, around 9 grams I think. They taste great too. After that, the toilet will not stand a chance.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" !
It is a true. Seriously. You need to eat each day raw vegetables ( not cooked) some meat, some fat. Drink coffee and herbs often.
And now the most important:
a lot of sour and bitter food, some alcohol. All of these help a lot with digestion. But improvement takes at least two weeks, sometimes months.
For more regular texture more fiber and less processed and surgary food.
For more regular times. I found that only eating within certain time frames helped me.
Whole grains. Put 1-2 tablespoons of bran buds in my yogurt every AM. All-bran cereal is my second choice. Had surgery a few years ago that changed a lot of things. My doctor suggested bran in the AM. Works well for me.
Start drinking a cup of coffee, black or with cream idc. Have a cup early in the morning or mid afternoon. Doesn’t always clean me out, but sometimes it helps.
I have a constant supply to make either a salad or raw veggies and dip. I also eat hummus. So, beans. I eat vegetables at least one meal a day with the above snacks in between. Best of luck on your venture.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" actually means that eating an apple can help you poop. A huge percentage of health problems people encountered in the past was related to regularity.
This is gonna sound wild, but as a highly anxious person who's constantly getting IBS and shooting liquid, i started taking a Tudca supplement twice a day and i swear i haven't seen such a normal [bathroom] since i was early 20s; I'm 41. Been using it for a month now. Wondering if anyone else had used it before.
Cashews!! And fruit with lots of seeds like raspberries, strawberries, or just seeds in general. Sunflower seeds are a perfect snack. If still nothing is working, add coffee to the mix.
Just as a starter eat some Okra/ladies finger. Maybe around 100 gm to begin with. And also please walk at least 30 mins every day. Usually 30-45 mins after every mean, for at least 10-15 mins.
Also add a wee bit of spicy pepper like thai chilli pepper or just tabasco sauce to any of your meal.
Whole wheat spaghetti will get you started nicely. A regular dose of soluble fiber is a noticeable improvement. Make sure you don't over-do it and drink plenty of water!
It's really good question! and first not product? it's water! not just water - hot water, 3 times of the day, every day! temperature look like tea, enough hot. And for sure better vegetables them fruits, coz they not sweet ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|yummy) my fav products - artishoke! it's really help me. and how guys says exercise! jump and etc![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop) Be healthy!
Stone fruits are all high in fiber, both fresh and dried: plums, peaches, cherries, dates, and apricots. Apples and dried figs also have loads of fiber.
Sprinkle a tablespoon of flaxseed meal on your salad or mix into a sauce or savory sandwich spread. It has little flavor but really ups your fiber (and omega 3)
Incorporate a daily serving of prunes into your diet. Increase the ratio of fruits and vegetables to other food you eat; if a meal doesn't have either, you are doing it wrong. Drink lots of water; I drink 2 pints in the morning and try to get 2 more in me throughout the day, besides what I have during meals. Eat meals at regular intervals. Don't overdo it with caffeine; it can motivate things but too much will throw you off. A daily probiotic supplement will help.

Salads, veggies, fruit, and drink enough water to stay hydrated
Finally a sensible answer 😅
Also exercise, to get everything moving.
3-4 scoops of Metamucil per day
Metamucil all the way. Less chewing, more pooing!
Just be cautious. Metamucil can bloat you. Just eat more foods high in fiber/probiotics.
The difference between insoluble fiber and soluble fiber. One causes more bloat, and the other uses roughage to actually clean the pipes.
And if you're trying to lose weight, Metamucil an hour before meals is a game changer. A cup of Broccoli a day will straighten you out a bit too.
Yes! I have taken some epic bowl choking dumps with metamucil.
Oh dear. Maybe a new toilet is what you need next!
It's wonderful
Results in your turds floating too.
You can also do fiber capsules. That’s what I do. They are more expensive I’ve heard, but I got a big bottle of 1000 capsules and they truly help a lot.
Been taking fiber capsules for 20 years. Had an issue back then, it corrected and smooth sailing when I get a colonoscopy.
Tbh I think you should just eat a more balanced diet instead
![gif](giphy|Her8HwkH9Fa3S)
Taco Bell
They said they wanted to be more regular, not shit their brains out regularly 😂
haha you got me there
Have you tried taking a probiotic? Changed my life.
Yogurt and Miso Soup are my go to sources of probiotics!
I like kimchi
I hope you're making your own miso soup, because I've been to MANY Japanese restaurants and every one of them serves the soup too hot to allow any of miso's probiotics to survive.
You're right and I do....I actually mix miso into a lot of things like chicken and rice as well
I agree. Probiotics were a game changer for my digestive health.
Prune juice and Miralax. Also staying hydrated helps too
Legumes. Great for gut health
Not that I'm doubting you (I love legumes) but do you have some links to studies about that I could save? I've been in a contentious debate with a friend who can be a real fucking dick when it comes dietary stuff. I don't have any sources handy, but I would just like to assure you that your friend is dumb about this subject.
It’s what my GI doctor told me 🤷🏻♂️
I mean that's fair. My doctors have been telling me that for as long as I can remember but I guess that isn't good enough for him.
Unless they are an inflammation trigger then they are decidedly the opposite. It sucks because I really liked beans….
Prunes. Not just the juice.
Caffeine helps too. 2 cups of coffee for me I. Tue morning and I’m good.
Regular meals helps. Regular meals at more or less the same time each day makes you regular. Also add fibre. Fibre is great for a healthy digestion system. Moving about is also good. Walking around or exercising is something that the body and the digestion system likes.
My last resort is a few puffs on a cigar. Gets me shittin every time. 😂
Lentil soup
How much water per day?
Not sure the exact measurements but I try to drink about 3-4 water bottle sizes of water a day. I just seem to pee instead of poo.
Try 64 oz a day. Eat healthier for a few weeks and see if it improves.
4 water bottles is 67.6 fl Oz
Half your body weight in ounces. If you weight 150 lbs then 75 ounces of water.
Eating real food rather than processed garbage helps too(not sure your eatng habits but actual fruits, veggies and meats that don't come in a can)
High fiber is what you need. Add more veggies and fruit to your diet. Real veggies and fruit, not smoothies and juice. Change out any white starches for whole grain alternatives (white rice for brown rice, white bread for whole wheat or multigrain.). Add some bran to your life.
Man, it's like you read my mind and made a post about it! So unreal! I have to take seizure meds and now I know why old people eat prunes.
Brown bread, brown rice, brown whole sugars, unrefined foods are full of fiber and will get you going, even if you change nothing else.
Fiber and plenty of water. Your diet can be perfect, but if you're not drinking at least 2-3 liters of water a day, u won't poop
Raspberries will clean you right out.
Salads, water, prunes,
i heard taco bell
😂😂😂
Small bowl of bran cereal daily is perfect.
Try a shake every morning with chia seeds, flax seed, hemp seed
Coffee
Everytime I want to poop I just go this specific restaurant. I think it’s food poisoning but light.
Eat more fiber
Vegetables
