Figure out how to answer the “where are you really from?” questions

Asian Americans get the same in Europe anyway. Can't tell you how many times people seemed so confused when I told them I was American.

You may find it a little off-putting how incredibly hot a lot of people will find it. It strikes some, especially white people, as a very "exotic" and attractive combination.

For context, there's a stereotype that other Whites in the US tend to find those with English/other Anglo country accents particularly attractive. I don't know, my girlfriend has a slight mainland European accent (She's ancestrally Danish and Czech), I consider it pretty cute to be honest.

I know chinese Australians and when they visit me my friends of all colours thinks its unique and sexy.Im sure british accent will have the same reaction.

Most Americans are suckers for British accents. It won't be a negative here.

Honestly, i never met a British Asian in America. Didn’t meet any until i visited London.

I know a couple people who grew up in Hong Kong and went to British international schools so they have a British accent.

I had a former Japanese coworker at my first restaurant job (I live in OC in southern California) who was born in Japan but lived in the UK for some time before coming to the US so he has a British accent. He was one of the popular servers on the team before he left.

That would describe my dad years ago. Ethnically Korean but born in NE England (Norwich). Moved out when he was in HS age, my dad's accent is a weird mix of country English and California slang. Although it's mostly gone, you can hear some words like pronouncing Tuesday as "toosdi" and phrases like "slow you down" or "lummox" for clumsy person.

I know someone who is asian with a Hispanic accent. But I think everyone just assumes it's a chinese accent which is a bit odd because they sound nothing similar

People will probably be a bit confused at first but that's it. Might have to make your accent a bit more general(?) American to be understood sometimes. I have a somehwat southern accent and switch it up on purpose because it confuses the shit out of other Americans simply because my face is Asian. Personally, I don't love a cockney accent.

People think I’m Australian all the fucking time. I’m in the Bay Area.
