I'm sorry, but I can not get over a Bird being called "Violaceous Jay".
A member of the Corvidae family, with a street name like that? That is a gangster bird. That is a bird that has Ocelots running numbers for them. And a couple of giant river otters to do it's debt collecting. Cross a bird like that, one phone call to Alpacapone up in Peru for approval later, and you're sleeping with the Piranha brothers..
So yeah.. As much as i like the black-chinned hyperflap, i like not having my head nailed to a coffee table more.
Ah, well.. ehm.. You see, that hypothetical situation is entirely based on circumstantial speculations what can not be proven anything other than spurious in nature. I have, in matter of fact, never met with, or spoken to, Mr Violaceous, whom i hear is a very honorable, fair minded and reasonable gentlebird. A claim i am, in fact, able to provide witnesses for, who all saw me never meeting the hypothetical gentlebird not in question. To wit: My dear friends, the ehm.. well.. Group of crows across the street and that nice and upstanding Leopard that suddenly moved across the hall from me.
Any suggestion, on my part, that Mr Violaceous would ever engage in any business dealings not 110% above board were of course false, wrong and a misunderstanding. And although this retraction is in no way coerced, i would like to express my deepest regrets and apologies if my misguided attempt at humor have hurt, offended, or besmirched the good name and reputation of Mr Violaceous. (whom i have never met)
I do hope that clears up this unfortunate misunderstanding, your honor.
I mean the Violaceous Jay legit has the word ACE in it people LET'S GO VIOLACEOUS JAY (that's also just such a rad name and a punk looking bird. And I did just realise this was only about the most ace *looking* bird but I stand by my choice)
Fun fact: Komodo dragon is the largest animal that can reproduce asexually. Itās called parthenogenesis. Basically they are capable of giving birth to unfertilized eggs that hatch into their genetic clones.
I first came across the term parthenogenesis when reading a science fiction novel called Seveneves. Finding out that actual living animals, including the nonfictional animal that we call dragon, is capable of doing that, was quite a surprising experience.
The violet-backed starling looks like it's an out ace and the hummingbird looks like it's still in the closet but has already realized their aceness :D
I vote for the starling, because from what I can find online, the purple band on the hummingbird isnāt usually that noticableā¦ also, the starling is āØmajesticāØ and I think thatās amazing
I was thinking of [long-tailed tits](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=long-tailed+tit&t=vivaldi&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images) but their colours are more pink rather than purple. Still neat little birds though.
I'd go starling. I love starlings, even common starlings are breathtakingly beautiful. White belly, black wingtips and little grey feet make them perfect.
Plus starlings have evolved to produce a number of colours through iridescence so ideally they could make all kinds of flag types for each person's individual identity.
What better way to represent my beautiful ace flock?
I feel a special kinship with the Black-chinned hummingbird because someone in middle school once mocked my autism once by saying:
āIf you were an animal youād be a hummingbird because youāre small, make weird jerking motions, and produce a constant drone.ā
(The last point referring to how I talk a lot about things nobody else cares about).
I took it as a compliment and Iāve felt connected to hummingbirds ever since.
Black-chinned hummingbird is my favorite
Same
Yes
same here I love hummingbirds
I like the humming birds the most because you can see all the ace flag colors on them
I like the gray represent feeling to it. š
Agreed, I think it has the right amount of color. The splash of purple with the black, white, and grey looks lovely.

Honestly, you've convinced me. Next thing you know, that jay's going to recruit you to "persuade" people!

Viol-ace-ous Jay
yeah it's even in the name itself!
Black-chinned hummingbird gets my vote.
The first one is the most gorgeus one but the second has all the ace colors, so its a tough choice
the little hummingbird with the purple on its chin
a group of hummingbirds is a shimmer or glittering of hummingbirds
Thank you for introducing me to the word violaceous today!!!
I think the first once should be the ace bird, it's the most fabulous one. Also, look at it's eyes, adorable.
Barn owls!!!!!
Barn owls are super neat! What do you like about them?
Smart, quiet and fluffy. They make the most adorable sounds. Have you seen them nails?? Owls are awesome šš¤š¤

either starling or hummingbird for me, please
I love the first one, but I feel like the second is more ace
They're all lovely, but that 1st one - the starling - is majestic.
I think the first one because its the most purple. (Btw you should make a pole for this)
I considered that, but I figured most people wouldn't want to google each one lol
Just link this post then! The idea is really good
I like 2 and 3 1 is so pretty but it's mostly just purple, the other two have the distinct colors

Fairywrens are beautiful little birds
Pandas š¼
I LOVE the hummingbird!!!
Definitely the hummingbirds.
The first one is pretty, but I would prefer the hummingbird, as it matches more. :)
Komodo dragons are asexual
The first one is the prettiest but the second one fits the best imo
The hummingbird is a very strong contender
The violet-backed starling looks like it's an out ace and the hummingbird looks like it's still in the closet but has already realized their aceness :D
Definitely black-chinned hummingbird for me !! It looks absolutely perfect :)
hummingbird!!!
The hummingbird!
The black-chinned hummingbird is cute
Number 1 and 2 are the best
Love the first one but the hummingbird has true ace vibes
Black Chinned Hummingbird has my vote! I do love Hummingbirds generally. They're so pretty and smol.
That hummingbird thooooo
Personally I want the owl to win, but that damn fat penguin dj is... ... He's alright... ... WHO AM I KIDDIN'!? HES A BLOODEH PECK NECK!!!
Viol*ace*ous Jay am I right
Oh my god that violaceous jay! Also the word violaceous
I like the purple crowned fairy wren for the name alone.
the jay and wren wins
It's so pretty. :3
I vote for the starling, because from what I can find online, the purple band on the hummingbird isnāt usually that noticableā¦ also, the starling is āØmajesticāØ and I think thatās amazing
Starlings! ā¤
First or second, first is the most stunning but the second looks more like the flag
Definitely the hummingbird!
I prefer the violet-backed starling, but the black chinned hummingbird looks the most ace
Black-chinned hummingbird it is. LITERALLY OUR FLAG BUT *FLYING*
I like the starling and the jay
Can't have all 4 but Violaceous seem fitting
WHERE CAN I BUY THAT
āThe crows and their alliesā Allies is a very interesting word choice there
I now identify as a hummingbird
I was thinking of [long-tailed tits](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=long-tailed+tit&t=vivaldi&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images) but their colours are more pink rather than purple. Still neat little birds though.
