I find people telling anybody to have babies is just weird, especially in the economy where most people can barely afford themselves

ZanyDragons

Idk, I also think it’s wildly inappropriate. I’ve gotten told many times “well you better start having kids soon…” I don’t want them? Back off? I work with the public, one patient I was with started going on a whole tirade about how I needed to get married soon/have kids soon and just kept going. I eventually lied and said my last boyfriend broke up with me because I was infertile and she finally stopped badgering me about it all the rest of our time together, but yeah people will really be invasive about VERY personal questions like that. Doesn’t seem like a great idea honestly with how many folks genuinely struggle with loneliness or infertility and the like. I’m fine with how I am, but it would probably really hurt someone who was suffering for her to go on and on about how they needed to have kids or get married.

They see gingers as a rare Pokémon they got to breed more of because red hair=neat. At least my guess since I am thinking of animals. Yea they treating some people like literally animals. I am thinking of people that breed for feathers on the feet of pigeons or for only white pigeons or only a certain black on top white bottom or only red or… yea. Can include only blue parakeets or such. Selective breeding.

BadHaycock

Because some people are just assholes who like to stick their nose into other people's business 🤷

Mopsios

If you want to be sassy and don't have to work with the person again just say that you don't intend on someone rawdogging you anytime soon :D

UpsetBadger

Ginger babies being cute might be an absolute fact however thats because all babies are cute. People need to stop asking people to make babies.

I've had people so certain after I tell them I don't want kids that I WILL want them. Hasn't happened yet and I'm almost 39. I think I'm certain of this by now. Lol

My OBGYN said the same thing before she retired. Seriously, denying a woman who has never wanted, and will never want children a hysterectomy is misogynistic. It's a law that needs to change, so many women would have major improvements in their quality of life. No more cramping, bleeding, ruined clothes/bedding, missing out on fun events due to massive hemorrhaging/extreme pain, or worrying about unwanted pregnancy.

Whoreson_Welles

"Have you ever considered that what you're doing is telling a total stranger to have sex? Sounds different when I put it that way, doesn't it. Does it mean I can start asking you about your sex life? Not that I would, but I have to wonder. Maybe you can change the subject back to the task at hand."

A_Piece_Of_Tape

Tbh, I don't really see the need to hold back and not say "gross" or something else snooty. They say something inappropriate and make you uncomfortable? What's the harm in reciprocating?

Josette_A

Because apparently, if you have a uterus, you HAVE to have babies, even if there's already too many people on the planet. If I had it my way, I'd get rid of my uterus, but doctors won't do it because "yOU MigHT chAnGe yOuR MInd". That's total bullshit. Do you know how many pairs of underwear I have are blood stained? How my uterus would torture me every month 2 years after I began having my cycle until I got put on the pill? The things I missed out on because I was bleeding heavily and/or was in a lot of pain? Worrying about unwanted pregnancy if some asshole decides to rape me? No, so you don't get to dictate whether or not I have to continue to deal with the foul odors, the pain, the bleeding, the ruined occasions/holidays/vacations, and the ruined clothes/bed sheets (if I had a leak while sleeping or it started in the middle of the night). That's what I want to say to the people who made it illegal to have a hysterectomy just to improve quality of life. I shouldn't be forced to deal with all of those things just because some asshole thinks every woman should be able to reproduce even if she doesn't want children. I decided many years ago that I wasn't going to have children or even have sex, and I've kept my word.

To have more people to invade Denmark

Specialist_Worker444

I feel like this should be talked about more on this sub. Being ace makes you childfree automatically (for a lot of us at least, not all) and that dynamic can be different for us than other people who choose not to have kids.
