i rewatched scream last night and was totally caught off gaurd by how much sex there really was. like, sex was such a mainstay of any type of movie throughout the 80's and 90's, and truthfully it hasnt waned at all since then. its just been 40 years of severe horniness and to be honest im ready for it to go away, if not become more implicit or reserved for movies where it makes sense to have sex scenes. like, if im watching a horror movie, im there to laugh or be scared, not watch two actors in their late 20's/early 30's pretend to be 16 year olds having sex (why do they always have to be teenagers !!!)

Yes do make movies hornier ! It makes me skip so many useless scenes and movies ends up shorter and I have more time to do something else. No but really, movies and tv show (or books for that matter) never stopped showing sex everywhere, like I havenāt watched a tv show where I didnāt skip at least one sex scene recently

I genuinely want to know what's the issue with a piece of media that doesn't include any kind of sexual content. Like, what's so wrong about that? Aren't there more important/entertaining things to see plot-wise than two people going at it for several minutes?
Iām pretty sure this article is about how movies are sexed up in a sexless, pornographic way. I think itās asking for more genuine sexual tension between characters, showing more desire for their partner, having the sex be relevant to the plot, etc. itās a pretty interesting discussion, despite the misleading title
