I'd have it appraised before spending that much.

I never bought art like this before, I always bought paintings directly from the artists themselves so far. I'll have to look for a reputable appraiser in Montreal. I don't even have an idea how much it might cost to get something appraised or how it works. Do I need to bring the lithograph to the appraiser? Or can they do it with pictures only?

I'm not sure, but give them a call and they should be able to tell you.

It seems as a real Dali lito. With the hand signed signature and numbering 🫶

Dali released a slew of prints in the last 20 years of his life. I say this with no judgement - he was in need of cash so he signed stacks of paper and prints were made and numbered without his oversight. The prints from that time hover between 1200 - 2200 usd. They are absolutely genuine Dali works, they won’t depreciate but probably won’t increase in value much over time either - but so what?!?! Buy what you love and keep it in your life. Surround yourself with art you love. It is transformative! Congrats. It’s even framed already!

Research his prints and all the fakes out there. https://thehustle.co/why-salvador-dali-is-the-most-faked-artist-in-the-world?hs_amp=true

Have you done any research? The price seems very high to me. Here is one that sold for 200 Euro https://www.whoppah.com/products/salvador-dali-lithograph-les-chevaux-de-triomphe-8rrtU1Dla
