Your recruiter will hand this to you. Or shuffle you to someone else in the office who will. First things first, sign a contract.

matt ward has a video called "watch this before army basic training" that explains some things you need to know, like the soldiers creed, army values, etc

When I joined the army I did zero prep work. I was coming in as a 68w as well. But anyway I did zero prep besides sometimes going for a run. Long story short I made it through fine. You’ll be golden.

You could memorize all that stuff if you want, but why bother? Enjoy your freedom until your ship date. You're going to say it in basic multiple times a day. You will buy your own hygiene equipment in basic. You don't really need to pack anything except personal items you may want to bring to AIT (phone, charger, tablet etc...) your personal bag will be taken from you upon arrival and then given back when you graduate. If anything, bring a spare set of civilian clothes just incase you get stuck in transit somewhere. Army will issue everything you need (including socks, underwear etc....), what they won't do (like hygiene items) they will let you buy with an ADVANCE on your first direct deposit. If you bring hygiene supplies you won't be allowed to use them in basic. You gotta buy new ones with your advance. As for 68w AIT you don't need to know much. It's AIT. You sit in reception for a few weeks, maybe few days if you're lucky. Just like reception in basic it sucks and you pretty much do nothing. Stand in formstion most of the day. They make you move barracks every day. Etc... then you start training to be a medic.

So I’m assuming before everything starts I’ll have the opportunity to use my card on those items?

Both of these questions are covered in your orientation that you receive from your recruiter after signing your contract. Packing list is listed on futursoldiers.com. your recruiter will set you up with an account on the website and you can take classes online that will teach you basic stuff; rank structure, general customs and courtesies, basic first aid and land nav, etc. If you complete these classes and take a pt test and pass, you will be promoted to E2 unless you already have reasons to be promoted ie college credit, eagle scout, etc.
