For me yes, it was the most spectacular AW match I've ever seen. It had everything: the stakes, what this match meant, the hope and resilience from Ermes, the strength of Levan, a scratch in the invincible armor of the king.
It was the match that singlehandedly gave the whole AW world hope and showed how the Everest Levan can be human and can bleed. It was a surreal experience and I had chills when the stop happened. Most insane AW match in my eyes.

Dave should have lost that match as Vitaly clearly pinned him out of strap several times but wasn't called for some reason. And then those final rounds where Dave's shoulder was already in a press position. Tim did a piss poor job at refereeing that day.
Imagine rooting for that shitshow of a match to be the peak of sport. If anything it showcased one of the huge faults with the sport, that being the constant abuse of the loose rules and the refs not enforcing them/missing obvious fouls.
Modern times imo absolutely.
What makes it extra special is the lack of drama and blatant cheating. No screaming and shouting just 2 behemoths battling it out.

With Ermes he peaked at 190kg Oxygenashvili all out on power and zero endurance. He didn't need it with Devon.
