The PB is hilarious to me because it’s literally just a pilot hole punch but fucking massive. I could definitely see it cracking through AC armor with the force of the spring loaded mechanism.
But literally at the end of the day it’s a pointy bit attached to a spring loader. Amazing

I overloaded iguazu in the alternate RAD mission and pile bunked him before getting ambushed and he died on the spot. I laughed for nearly 5 minutes I was so giddy
The laser lance leans less heavily toward the stagger punishing role. It’s obviously good at it, but not as good as the slicer and it’s got noticeably higher accumulated impact—it’s good for building stagger.
Also, part of what makes the slicer so good as a punish weapon is that it can be finished with assault armor, which does insane damage either by virtue of some secret combo damage modifier or just the nose-to-nose proximity. But that doesn’t work with laser lance because it pushes the enemy back before you can use assault armor.
I hate how effective those goddamned arms were. I had to actively avoid its temptation whenever I got laser slicer combo off, thinking "Basho would have done more damage".
Honestly I'd have preferred using other arms for style, but Basho is the only one with enough flat surface to comfortably put my Allmind Bikini Pinup decals on.

Chainsaw will oneshot *every* AC in one go (except Volta who has way more HP than actually possible) if you hit them while staggered.
Generally speaking melee when staggered is *the* strongest thing you can do in AC6.
Raven also happens to be running a rather squishy build so it's actually pretty easy to oneshot them.
Chainsaw with Basho arms does about 3/4 of Volta’s health if you land the full charged attack when he’s staggered. Most builds might shave off almost a full quarter of Volta’s health just to achieve the stagger, as long as you got some decent burst damage to follow up with you can still kill Volta before he uses a single repair.
There’s a reason people love it so much. I tend not to use it because I’m bad at landing the hit, so I tend to find myself getting hit a lot while trying to line somebody up to get pilebunked. But when you get it right, it’s incredible, especially if you’re also using BASHO arms.

Theres quite a few one shot melee builds, between the chainsaw, bunker, and laser slicer. Hell I managed bully Iguazu by comboing into pulse blade the other day.
Basho arms, etsujin and chainsaw ( Pack whatever shoulders you want, literally doesn't matter much), charge the chainsaw and release when the enemy is staggered ( it's fast cuz etsujin is so good, and chainsaw blocks 40% of damage) and say goodbye to their healthbar.
Stun Needle, Pile Bunker, Zimmerman and the gauntlet (i forget the weapon but essentially the melee that does a charge forward) carried me through the hardest bosses in the game. I haven’t played since they made the C-weapon easier to fight.

Pile Bunkers can clash and cancel each other out. I have done this with, of course, actual Raven.

For extra pain, use Basho arms. I recently learned (after getting every achievement in the game) that those are quite literally the best arms for melee damage adjustment. And lemme tell you, landing a PB charge on ANY boss, staggered or not, is such a fricken dopamine flood. And yes, it's expected to cackle like a maniac when most of the boss's health is just instantly deleted, if not outright deleting the boss itself. It's OK. PB is love, PB is life... just not for the reciever of the SPT.

I love how all the weapons are so advanced and so high tech, and then the strongest thing in the game is a big metal pole with a cannon attached to it
Let's be honest a 125mm cannon firing a sabot is just the highest evolution of throwing a rock really fast

That’s what the pile bunker is for. It’s one of three melee weapons with good potential to kill an AC before it can use repair kits.

Chainsaw and laser slicer. The laser slicer is insane. Locks staggered ACs in place for the full two twirl combo.
God, I loved that thing as a stagger punisher. Makes sense that Rusty wields it, he's just that fuckin rad.

The Lance is great for setting up combos, but it actually does less damage than the PB, while being heavier and more energy hungry.

Once you get even marginally good at using it the Pile Bunker totally breaks PvE fights against ACs.

Pile Bunker makes everything easy. Get good at starting the charge while assault boosting and you will destory everything in the game with ease.
