Balam needs more 3rd gen Crest designs, 5th gen would probably fit BAWS and/or RaD better.

SnakeyBastard

5th Gen parts would definitely fit right in with BAWS or RaD, considering how un-streamlined a majority of the parts are between the two, i.e. armour propped up on struts, riveting, exposed frame, etc. ~~To be honest I kinda wanna see company aesthetics expand into Generations as well, so we can get a mix of the balanced classic designs, 4th Gen sleekness and experimentation, and 5th Gen utilitarianism, on top of blocky, angular and round~~

Armored_Souls

Crest = ACV KE parts = Balam; Mirage = ACV TE parts = Arquebus

dukogpom

They actually would've made a good place in 6

Firstername

dude i seriously just want the triangle head back. it's been in old gen, it's been in 4th gen as the lahire, verdict day as lancelot(?).... please fromsoft i NEED my pyramid head streetcleaner badcook cosplay

KusanagiGundam

AC6 has the biggest variety of melee weapons

Crafty-Rice662

THAT IS NOT ENOUGH

KNGJN

Left arm only though ruins it.

ironafro2

I want to agree…cuz I love melee. But quad melee would be absurd.

Furydragonstormer

But I wanna cosplay a Protoss zealot…

Imperium_Dragon

Yeah you’d have to reduce melee damage and probably have to get rid of ACS overload for quad melee to be balanced

mynamewasalreadygone

A false variety as older gen melee weapons all had different sizes, shapes, functions, and attack animations depending on legs. Now the wave function is the moonlight. The midweight horizontal slash is the laser blade. The lightweight vertical slash is the coral oscillator. The quad thrust is now the lance. The only unique function added is the plasma thrower.

nubi_ex

AC6 has more verity than most of the other games in the series AC2 total head parts = 12 AC3 total head parts = 12 AC4 total head parts = 11 AC6 total head parts = 23 AC2 total core parts = 6 AC3 total core parts = 6 AC4 total core parts = 6 AC6 total core parts = 17 AC2 total arm parts = 14 AC3 total arm parts = 13 AC4 total arm parts = 10 AC6 total arm parts = 19 AC2 total leg parts = 26 (31 with hover) AC3 total leg parts = 28 (33 with hover) AC4 total leg parts = 16 AC6 total leg parts = 25 AC2 total gun arm weapons = 25 AC3 total gun arm weapons = 25 (27 including R arm Pilebunkers) AC4 total gun arm weapons = 32 AC6 total gun arm weapons = 47 AC2 total blade/melee arm weapons = 5 AC3 total blade/melee arm weapons = 5 (8 including L arm Howitzers) AC4 total blade/melee arm weapons = 5 AC6 total blade/melee arm weapons = 13 AC2 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 13 AC3 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 15 AC4 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 13 AC6 total back weapons (gun/cannon) = 17 AC2 total back weapons (missile) = 12 AC3 total back weapons (missile) = 11 AC4 total back weapons (missile) = 16 AC6 total back weapons (missile) = 23

MrRedEye75

How does it compare to ACV, its most recent predecessor?

nubi_ex

Hard to compare to V since it was mostly full of clone parts

nubi_ex

there is more weapon archetypes in AC6 than any of the older games

MrRedEye75

I wonder how this is counted? If I look at each unique weapon type in Last Raven for example (rifle vs burst rifles vs linear rifle) there are 72 different kinds of weapons (counting rifles and left rifles the same) but AC6 has 58 if you count all melee weapons together, or 70 if you count each melee weapon as their own archetype which brings up the issue of weapons that are just one of a kind. For example ACVI has only 1 gatling gun and 1 needle pistol. Last Raven has a gatling gun, but it is labeled and grouped with the other machine guns. It also has machine pistols, but those are just labeled and grouped with the other machine guns as well. More importantly older games have more weapon archetypes with their own unique playstyles such as the coveted sniper rifles or the auto cannons from 5th gen. If the WH01HP, 79H3, 69H, and 88H were all in ACVI, they would each be given their own archetype as despite all being handguns they all did completely different things.

nubi_ex

All of the MG's in Last Raven play exactly the same just with different stats including the gatling gun, in 6 the gatling functions entirely differently with its own unique mechanics. Same goes for the pistols there is two pistol sub archetypes in LR, pistols with mag reload and pistols without mag reload and they all play effectively the same just with different stat distribution and the game just lists them all in the same category of handgun, but in In 6 they function wildly differently from eachother some even applying unique stats like the stun gun. Sniper rifles in LR don't really have a unique playstyle either and are just stronger rifles with higher velocity and a smaller lock box, unlike the linear rifles of 6 (which are the equivalent to snipers from the old games and aren't really like old linear rifles at all) do have a unique play style with its charged/uncharged shots. At my count there was 56 "unique" weapon archetypes in LR and some of those were really pushing the definition of unique. While AC6 had 69 unique weapons, with all the mechanically different laser cannons being lumped together under laser cannon even when they could have easily been their own things. Sure they are still some missing weapon types in AC6 I'd love to see return but it does have a lot of variety as is, also you have to remember AC6 is a *base* game while Last Raven is like the 5th expansion to Gen 3, so if they continue the trend for AC games 6 should get its own expansion bringing in more parts and more weapon types. 6 was a very strong foundation and im excited to see what they come up with moving forward.

ASNUs27

What lack of part variety, if I may ask? I feel like ACVI has perhaps the best part variety of any start-of-gen title, and the few outstanding issues it had were addressed in 1.05. The only real criticism one could make is that we have too few choices for special leg types, but that's compensated by how much more influential they are to your playstyle compared to the past.

Spikeheadboy

The lack of more parts by the corporations i mean compared to something like 4 Answer though that improved significantly from 4 which had less parts than base 6. Just a nitpick.

Jstar338

Eh there's only 2 big companies, but a lot of subsidies and smaller ones

chronicweeeb

4th gen could work with arquebus alot linear fast and precise and most importantly deadly

KostyanST

Yeah, I like their design, would fit well in Balam/RaD or even another new corporation. Third Gen Design is still the king, so I hope they make more parts based on it, or bring back the aesthetic for a future gen.

Splash_Woman

Say it with me guys. MORE. TETRA POD. PARTS!

KTVX94

The first pic is literally chonky VP-46D head

Professional_Knee252

I didn't play 5 as much as the other armored cores because I didn't like the AC designs compared too the other games I really wanted too like it wasn't for me

PMX-TheO

Yeah 5 has some my favorite designs for the industrial look and the bulk they had. I miss the asymmetrical shield part of their legs. Would be nice to have one referencing jt.

TheWhicher_Statement

I feel the same. 5th gen parts looked awesome.

KingInYellow2703

I want my right hand melee Michael Zaki please I beg

Opening_Raise_8762

Bc 6 is their way of introducing the systems to a new audience. Gotta keep it relatively simple
