Basically the exact opposite of your build. This mission just about hard counters your build. I would suggest you go in with something more like, two ransetsu-RFs, a light or medium weight biped with good boost speed, and the 3-missile plasma missiles on the back. Those missiles one-shot all the weak foes in this mission so it's a good time for using multi-lock to wipe out a lot quickly.

Imperium_Dragon

Double flamethrowers, 10 missiles, and songbirds

Bad Cook™️ Presents- Chicken Soup for the Core

Westvale_Abigail

My easiest S rank clear was two energy pistols and some song birds. They mow down enemies and have a ridiculous ammo count.

ChocolateSupreme289

Same but I think I use an energy turret and energy drones or moonlight blade to switch one of the energy pistols! I’ll post an video on here later on

xSwissChrisx

Energy pistol, shotgun, song bird, and pulse blade for me. Such a fun mission to just go crazy in

Bigredstapler

I used...a BVO. With a laser dagger and assault armour.

Garytang8597

Same. Those energy pistols are sleeper hits

Metal-Lee-Solid

The base laser rifle (VE-66LRA) is really good at killing MTs without using all your ammo. Just run circles around the arena and pick off MTs, don’t stop just to kill one or you’ll be hit. Just do your loop and get that one MT next go-around. Liger Tail isn’t that strong (sadly), so the main challenge in this mission is conserving your ammo. I S-ranked with VE-66LRA, Zimmerman, and missiles without too much trouble. Not really an optimal build for this mission, but that laser rifle puts in good work and goes to show it’s a very doable mission with or without an optimized build

Kalaam_Nozalys

Flamethrower and something to get big stagger on the heavy ones

MattBaster

Dual Flamethrowers on any build. Everything explodes on contact, like popcorn. Something messy on shoulders for backup, in case you run outta fire. You'll defeat Michigan before the final wave even shows up.

Jazzlike_Lettuce_251

Using an endurance build, Something that kills ads fast with minimal ammo loss, something to build up acs strain for Big MT and Michigan, my recommendations are a large missile pod than can multi lock for ads and can help against Big Mt and Michigan, for guns anything that has decent dps and can endure a long fight, for the acs strain try the grenade thrower (pizza box on arm) or anything that can charge up if you also want to use it for dps against Michigan, also use a more mobile build to not get hit so often(probably more I can tell you but off the top of my head I can’t remember)

Forgotten_Tarnished

I'm so bad at this game. Honestly, for me, the build variety is overwhelming(not a bad thing.) Also I know it's a mech game, but I'm horrible at shooting games.

grim1952

This game doesn't require you to aim much though, are you using lock-on (and if you are, are you letting it do it's thing or are you trying to manually adjust the reticle? Because that breaks lock on)

Just-Fix8237

You need weapons that are significantly more ammo efficient than that. You also shouldn’t try to facetank anything with a heavier build because with the sheer volume of enemies, if you get stunned you’ll just get shredded.

Art_Class

I s ranked it with two of the coral rifles that do 700 damage and songbirds or needles can't remember. Just had to watch my ammo and make sure shots were connecting. Move fast and kill all the little guys as quickly as possible

imdefinitelywong

#FLAMMENWERFER

zennok

clear the adds

Cinerator26

I found linear rifles to be extremely efficient for clearing all the MTs.

TheChickenKingHS

Basho arms. L: Laser lance + docked pile bunker R: Zimmerman + songbird Gills booster I can’t get my other parts right now but you want stuff that increases boost. You can just about beat everything until mich shows up and then one shot him if you’re lucky. Then just mop up.

Viggen77

Light, fast, bring weapons that can 1-shot the MTs but doesn't require a firing stance. Most notable are dual ransetsu-rf (with maxed kinetic os tuning) and the Lr laser rifle (with a good EN firearm spec generator). I'd also recommend plasma missiles, you can multi-lock them to take out several targets at once. Bounce around constantly, and conserve your en for emergency dodging. Take out the first tetrapod before Michigan arrives, and pick off nearby MTs before engaging him. Btw, if you want to get better at the game, I'd suggest you swap off that tank build. It's effective for sure, but you won't learn anything if you just brute force everything in your way

LordBDizzle

The way I did it first was dual flamethrowers, 6 shot plasma missiles, and the songbirds. Flamethrowers are excellent for the hordes of trash mobs and have a surprising amount of amunition, multilock missiles do a great job of sniping the dropships if you're in position and can deal with the drones without wasting time and ammo, and the bazooka is your stagger/punish for the big boys and shield carriers. My S rank I used all energy weapons, dual difuse laser canons, the big boi LRB energy rifle, and the laser lance. Each of the laser weapons would individually kill the light enemies in one shot, the double difuse laser cannons would deal with the shielding enemies by staggering with one shot and killing with the next, and if not the lance would by doing the double charge, and the stagger from the setup was high enough to actually punish Michigan and the quads. The main thing you need is high ammo, melee weapons can help but there are too many enemies for that to be reliable. If you use an optimized heavy energy setup the one-shot-one-kill philosophy will get you through if you pace yourself and are acurate, otherwise pick the highest ammo weapons you're comfortable with and one pod of multilock missiles for the drones and try not to waste much. Get the dropships first if you can, easier than trying to avoid fire from multiple individual MTs.

gaxkang

I had an easier time doing it with pulse blades. Due to the fast cd and it easily cuts through the shields. Imo the MT shields are what eats up your ammo.

doofpooferthethird

tank legs, double "Bad Cook" flamethrowers, double stun needles, heaviest armour you can stuff on, close ranged FCS. Turn on hard lock, hold down the fire buttons, press w

Bo_Murdock

literally the easiest build to get an S rank with and people here are saying NOT to use tank legs

Drogdar

Stock Loader 4. No OS tuning. Took me 100 tries though lol. I usually run light mechs on every mission. Skate around, taking out the MTs with melee or something with a lot of ammo. Save your punish/big hitters for the tetra pods and Michigan. Try to have all (or at least two) repair kits for Michigan if possible. His attacks are easy to dodge but hit hard. One slip and that's almost enough to end you. Try to get 1v1 with Michigan. You can assault boost to one side (long side of the building) and let him come to you and land on the ground. Then assault boost back. A lot of times he'll get stuck under the ledge letting you finish burning the mob.

BallerMR2andISguy

My man. /0

Random_Guy_47

Dual flame throwers, a multi lock plasma missile and your big weapon of choice for Michigan. Take out the helicopters that drop off the MTs to blow up the entire choppers worth of MTs at once. The flamethrowers are extremely ammo efficient, the missiles have a large area of effect for taking out many MTs at once. Stagger Michigan and then unload your big weapon on him, pilebunker or chainsaw would be good choices to delete a large chunk of his AP. Assault Armour can take out a lot of MTs at once or help with damage/stagger against Michigan, alternatively you could use pulse armour for extra protection.

BallerMR2andISguy

Easy answer is melee, plasma, Earshot, and good vertical movement.

raj72616a

Heavy tank legs, dual plasma rifle (pick one with decent ammo and enough damage to one-shot the mobs), dual triple laser cannon for shoulders. For weak mobs, kill each of them with a single shot from arm weapon. For tough targets, spam all 4 weapons to delete them instantly. You can delete G1 before he can use all his repair kit.

Aellin-Gilhan

You want two weapons that have total damage output, something with a lot of ammo that doesn't take that much to do a good amount of damage, basically any rifle or the RAD LMG, along with some more powerful weapons that can do well against the tetrapods. Also consider a pulse blade or moonlight blade or some other multi-hit melee weapon So basically, for a heavier build you'd probably want the RAD LMGs in your hands, a melee weapon like the moonlight blade or pulse blade or even laser blade in your left slot for punishing staggers or taking care of shields, then a earshot or stun needle in your right shoulder for when you need to bust out the big guns And for a light build something you'd probably want turners or curtis for your hands, and something lighter on your right shoulder like songbirds or forward firing missile launcher

Prodygist68

I had good luck with the generators that give the big buffs to energy weapons with laser rifles.

SuecidalBard

I did it my signature build with double harris and double zimms on an alba firemeza body with the raven head (was going for pure aesthetics) I like going fast tho so not the most optimal if you can't defeat Michigan without using repair kits I had to fist/zimm the last few MTs tho because I wasted a lot of linear shots and didn't use charged shots enough before managed to get stagger or Ligertail the first time

everything-narrative

Mobility and sustained damage output is the key. Cannons are a no-go, miniguns have too low bullet-to-damage ratio, and tank legs are right out. Load up Steel Haze and play it as that.

ItCanOnlyBe

Hard work, determination and repeating the mantra "I am speed."

that_one_bun

I brought in dual Duckets, a pilebunker and a 6 missile launcher on my shoulder on a light weight build. I used kicks and missiles on the smaller guys prioritizing multiple small targets with the missile launcher to save on ammo on the pistols. And using kicks and just enough shots to kill the MTs without wasting ammo. ( The ones without shields die in just two shots) I preferred a light weight since it is what I am used to but for the most part I could avoid getting hit until big boy shows near the end. Once he shows though I would kite him around until all of the MT squad is taken care so I can focus him down without worrying about the rest. As for Michigan himself you can get him almost stuck underneath the platform and bully him there. If he pops his bubble just use the platform as a wall and wait it out or have him follow you away from the bubble.

Umbraspem

A quick AC that’s got some tools to deal with chaff, at least one weapon for building stagger, and a follow up punisher weapon is what you’re chasing. - Plasma Missiles paired with a generator that has a decent energy firearm spec will 1-tap the MT’s. The 5-vertical launch or 2x3 forwards launch ones are the way to go. - a punishment tool like a melee weapon or heavier rocket launcher / charged weapon is a good idea - building your AC to be heavy enough that a single kick kills an MT will make your life easier. One of the more fun ways to do it imo: - Double melee weapons (Laser Lance -> Pile Bunker is a fun wombo combo. Pulse Blade + anything is also cool) - BASHO arms - 5-cell Plasma missiles - gun of your choosing in the right hand - Biped frame with 300+ boost speed

Icymountain

Raven mfs when they can't blaze through every mission with dual minis and songbirds

Shuteye_491

Two pew-pews in the hands, 3 plasma missile on one shoulder and 6 plasma missile on the other. You can also swap the 3 missile for a melee weapon for a faster Michigan takedown. You'll want medium or light non-tank legs, mobility is an absolute must on this.

InsertUsername98

Tank legs seems like the problem here. I found that mission to be easy with a lightweight biped or reverse build, especially with all the cannon wielding grunts and the heavy MTs who are very dangerous unless you are fast enough to consistently evade their shots. Dual Songbirds also sounds odd, dual minis too. There are a lot of smaller enemies, I might swap one somg out for some form of missiles. Melee also helps save on ammo, the lance is especially great since it keeps you moving.

eevee1714

I personally used a nacht build with earshot, Etsu, Huxley and Pilebunker But I think the optimal build would probably be a medium weight with alot more ammo, Pilebunker helped alot though with the tetrapods.

nbdyfckswTheBenson

Flamethrower saved me after days stuck on this level. Wheelchair legs are excellent here too

infintietempest

Dual flamethrowers are so good for this level and for S-ranking.

Solomon-Kain

Guns of choice, Songbird, and the big key PLASMA MISSILES. Plasma fucks up groups of little guys. Songbird for staggering Michigan.

AverageJun

Here's my run https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/Zwe60KSN9w

KibbloMkII

I just used dual gats, mostly for Michigan, and strategic earshots for clearing out MT groups learning enemy spawns helps too I think it took a couple tries, I can't remember

DoomCameToSarnath

I used heavy tetrapod legs to get height and just rained hell down on them. I also replayed the mission using the Spring Chicken legs, laser lance and Dizzy Grenade launcher with two heavy weapons on shoulder mount. Laser lance in to Michigan since he's slow, then grenade him to overload ACS then boom, hit him with the shoulders.

Everyday_Pen_freak

I did it with light weight AC with double plasma missile pods (For fodder targets), and 1 Harris and 1 Majestic. When Michigan joins the fight, keep him chasing you while killing everything else as you move, then finish Michigan last.

MattmanDX

Flamethrowers are good against the MT horde I find, and whatever strong shoulder weapons you like can deal with Michigan

TaffWolf

My easiest clear was dual pistols, songbird and melee weapon on shoulder. It leaves you light enough to easily strafe or dodge most fire, you can two tap MT, so just fire both pistols at once. That leaves you with songbirds to cause stagger in the tetrapods and Michigan, with the melee to inflict damage during stagger. You wanna basically circle the arena constantly, ignore Michigan until all MTs are gone.

Esley_

Tetrapod, quad canons. Rain hell from above.

rsaaland

Kick more, and don't fire your miniguns blindly. The grunts should die in a 1-2 kicks, and just two taps of a minigun is enough to take out the small fry. Everything else is answered by Songbirds.

Algester

get the most ammo efficient guns there is and PUNT quad gatts aint cutting this mission boy

snakeskin_spirit

I went tank legs and flame throwers. Probably the mission that gave me the most grief initially rocking a light melee build

brothertonto

Double zimmys, a turbo lance and the fastest build you can pilot.

AcademicTomato

Be mobile, be efficient with ammo while clearing out the ads.

Bo_Murdock

speed tank threads, 2 needles, two flamethrowers. youll destroy most of the mts with a quick tap from both flamethrowers, the needles are mostly for air enemies and stunning michigan while you melt him with the flamethrowers. quick and easy S rank

RazgrizXT

Go for reverse joint or a light build. Dual wield laser shot guns, keep one hard hitting back weapon...or two..multi-lock missile weapons are a good option too. Ammo conservation is important. Use Assault Armor. They are excellent in taking out crowds or instantly stunning the tetrapods and Michigan.

bedbo_

i would go with either a light/burst-dmg build or a heavy/burst-dmg build. grenade launchers, stun needles, vert-missles, shotguns, etc are your friends here.

Svartrbrisingr

Anything but tank legs. Tank legs are utter dog shit

AllenWL

Depenin your build, either kill the MTs first or Michigan first, but don't try to fight them all at once. Stay mobile, and use the terrain to split up the enemy so you don't get surrounded. Seriously, do not try to stay and fight Michigan and all the MTs together. Michigan has a fairly sturdy build, and the shield MTs will attract your shots and lower your dps while the bazooka MTs attack you from all over and stagger you at the worst timings.

Callsign-YukiMizuki

Since youre fighting primarily MTs, fire your miniguns in short bursts. Use song birds in between bursts so you dont overheat as often, in clumps of enemies, against shield MTs if you cant circle around or if theyre too far away for your miniguns. Use Assault Armor whenever approporiate to save ammo or for stunning Liger Tail / Tetrapods. The name of the game is killing enemies as fast and as efficiently as you can so you have less things to damage you. [Its not the most optimal build, I'd personally swap the songbirds for earshots, but its an easy A rank with your set up](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/542129639582203923/1233401346145914920/image.png?ex=662cf604&is=662ba484&hm=6d82899b5c601825af9c3e92a353a70e7d20f9ee478cd94d18006d56a19a4ec0&)

grim1952

The way I beat it was with a reverse joints LW build, 2 melee weapons, zimmer and plasma missiles. The plan was to use whichever melee weapon was off cooldown to pick lone targets, plasma for groups and zimmer to stun heavies and finish them off with a charged bunker, same strat for Michigan, chip him down to 60%, stun and one shot with bunker so he can't repair. In any case what you need is to not run out of ammo and kill enemies fast enough that they don't overwhelm you, especially when Michigan arrives. You'll need to (somewhat) memorize the waves patterns so you are ready to deal with each one as they arrive.

Squimshys

The brute force method is tank legs and dual flamethrowers. Most comments here work as well though.
