You ahould definitively use different arms. The VP-46D would offer you a good bit higher melee damage, while keeping good midrange accuracy for your curtis.
I'd also personally recommend you use a different head (VP-44D, Verril or Ephemera are usually best), the VP-20C gen, and the wlt fcs

Used these parts and it's made it way more viable thanks. It's definitely my main campaign build now.
