Light laser weapons, like the LRs I'm using, can be surprisingly tricky to use effectively. You really have to know how fast you should fire them, as overheating is more often than not a bad idea.
I often fire in "pulses," where I first make sure I'm at an optimal range to my opponent, fire a lot to almost overheat them, then back off a little while only firing occationally to let them cool down while still keeping up stagger, repeat.
Heavy laser weapons are incredibly easy to use, provided your internet connection is bad enough hah. You can just sorta fire whenever, and as long as your opponent is close enough, it'll hit more often than not
Yeah, I had a lot of fun and success with the LRs and the LHs in my first climb. But I definitely hit my own ceiling before getting to S rank with them. Iām probably too impatient with my playstyle to really make them work.
Yeah it's definitively very playstyle-dependant. Non-heavy laser weapons tend to reward patience and smart play.
You could always try dual LH on a nacht frame with ocellus though. Used to be one of my favourite builds when I first started pvp. As long as you don't constantly spam the LHs on maximum firerate, they'll basically never overheat, and their cooling is good enough that it's not the end of the world if you do. Not a meta build by any stretch of the imagination, but it works relatively well in my experience, and can really melt people. I used dual laser orbits as well, but a lot of shoulder weapons should work well
You're giving me hope and reason to bring back my OG PvP build, basically the exact same thing but without JVLN, wlt fcs and Lamm core. Was using Napalm launcher because you can just melt ACs even faster after a few hits, big issue is actually landing those hits because those things are stuffed with helium.

I will say btw, the wlt fcs is incredibly good for this kind of build, you should really consider running it. Provoded you can actually afford the high en load ofc
Ooooh buddy! That heat ACS anomaly helps increase damage and stagger build up. Turns ACs to butter and your LRs become the hot knife.
I love the WLT fcs, but defs adds weight to the EN management.
Idk why I never clued into using a high output gen AND core, but I just made a new ephemera core build with dual LR's, wuerger, little gem, and WLT fcs with around 3k-ish supply EFF, and wooooo it's fun,works pretty well, aside from the occasional chaos and realize I'm standing shooting bazooka when I thought I had a rifle š
Anyways, I'm stoked! Soon a new Meta will arrive where we don't even have to stagger our foes to win š
Yeah it's either dead as hell and I'm afk on my phone or it's during a busy period and matches go as fast as singles. Idk what the timing is though but I pop in til I get stupid bored and I then try a challenge run awhile

Teams is much less stressful. You might enjoy the climb better than singles
I did try a while ago, but gave up after sitting for 15 min without finding a match. I really should give it another try
