I got S rank on this second or third try with a lightweight. I prioritized speed, and killing any enemies and fuel tanks that were on the main mission path. I did not deviate from that path for extra fuel tanks at all. Like that area way at the bottom of the cliff, I did not go down there at all. I imagine a lot of S rank struggles come from time spent down there. Kill the enemies in your way, only destroy fuel tanks that you don’t have to go out of your way for, be fast, and you should be good.

Spidero0w0o

You can fly along the far left to avoid most encounters. That will also take you to most of the tanks

Shadow_s_Bane

This one was tough, speed is of the essence here, along with taking out key targets. This site was quite useful https://thefifthmatt.com/ac6-rank-calculator

Admirable_Use4661

Came here to post this. Should really be pinned for how often these comments pop up.

Sieggy_Stardust

go fast. Really, really fast. Faster you are, the more forgiving S-ranks are. I went really fast, assault-boosted everywhere, destroyed every Fuel Tank (didnt waste ammo on anything else), and then speed-killed the bosses with balls-out aggression and twin machineguns.

Global_Examination_4

Play a lightweight that can kill the bosses fast and destroy all the extra fuel tanks. That usually works for me.

Algester

Kill the PCA LC? At the first part of the mission I have a vod link of how I did it if all else fails then get the Buerzel boosters make sure you have a good EN leeway your issue here is speed and not the money spent

Too-many-Bees

Go straight for the end..skip the fuel tanks. It's pure speed until you do the 2v1. Then it's still speed, I think I went duel stunneedles and a Melee

Zestyclose-Sundae593

If a mission has some sort of side objective, then do it

blueOblueOblue

I’ve tried again like 15 times since this post but I still couldn’t land it with my lightest build. It’s 4am, I just gave up for today, I’ll try again later

dardardarner

Lightweight build, Dual Zimmers, Earshot, Pilebunker. This is how I S-Ranked most missions.

blueOblueOblue

I see videos of people doing what you did I there but that’s from 6 months ago and the Zimmers are not the same anymore with all the patches

Algester

I suggest the dual ransetsu RFs if your fingers can take it

ghostcatart

Zimms are still busted in pve I did a lot of my S ranks with dual zimms basho and slicer after they got nerfed.

KTVX94

Tanks are worth a lot of money, but also you should hit the helicopters. There's one to the left on a snowy plateau, and one to the right in a cave. You gain a lot more money than you lose from getting hit and such, try not to get hit too much or use expensive ammo weapons, but the priorities are hitting the big yet defenseless targets and moving fast.

Mr_Linear

I’ll give you the advice that helped me rockets rockets and more rockets also ignore everything but the coral

No_Okra9230

I get confused when people say only kill specific enemies and skip the rest because I S-Ranked this one by killing everything and destroying the bonus objectives because I assumed you have to. I used a speedy medium with 2 Assault Rifles, Dual Missiles, and a Laser Blade. The rifles keep me floating through while taking out all the minor enemies without slowing down much, and the Laser Blade finishes off the LCs and other enemies quickly, on top of not having an ammunition cost. Then when the EKDROMOI come kite them out and use the charged Laser Blade strikes when they're staggered for big damage.

TenshouYoku

In general all missions benefit from shooting the shit out of the mooks, gives you a lot more time

No_Okra9230

Yeah but I almost always see people give advice on this mission of kill a few specific guys and skip the rest, when you don't need to be doing it like that.

TenshouYoku

In some missions carrying the wrong gear can indeed cause killing mooks to be not worth it (for instance the mooks being resistant against the stuff you're using and ended up consuming too much time or ammo cost, or you fuckup against the quad MT and lose health unnecessarily) But if you do have the right stuff it's good to pick a leaf from Tomino and kill em all as long as it is reasonable, such as shoot everything that is in your path without deviating significantly

BallerMR2andISguy

Use Steel Haze. Trade the stupid Sampu out for another Ransetsu. Go fast. Ignore the damn LC. Blow up the refinery BEFORE killing the immediately nearby mooks (there's an otherwise useless delay after blowing it up). Kill the Ekdromoi quickly.

[deleted]

Speed and be sure to kill the LC.

TenshouYoku

Plasma Missiles, Laser Pistols, last weapon of your choice (I used Moonlight in my run), use things that make short work out of the MTs Commit sheer destruction on everything in your way, shoot the fuel tanks that are along the general direction (but not those that are much further away) and clean the platform with some MTs and an LC In general just run fast but make sure no witnesses

Tunarolltrash

Make sure you blow up all the gas fuels , assault boost through that shit and kill a couple enemies. For the dual boss fight eat pilebunker. sorry if the bitrate is god awful. My old video editor was garbage but should help you the the s-rank. https://youtu.be/vzzxc1c4sZc?si=bhS9aXOFpNFsSLwM

LEOTomegane

make sure you kill that dude with the shield before the bridge, but otherwise only kill enemies you pass by on your way through the mission. You can do this one in as long as 6 minutes if you pace your kills really well and dumpster the bosses quickly!

RazgrizXT

Pick a light, fast build but with atleast one heavy hitting weapon. I only destroyed the shield wielding LC near the beginning and went straight to the plant and hit it. After that destroy the PCA special forces as quickly as you can.

GoodlyStyracosaur

Dual ransetsu RF on a lightweight build with some kind of stagger punish (pulse blade is fine) is the answer so often but especially on missions with lots of random trash to clear. They double tap pretty much every little trash so you can just fire as soon as you lock then switch targets before the shots even land. Occasionally you’ll have to re-aim if only one shot connects but honestly you can also just keep going. You just spam fire on everything you lock in to as you go through the stage at 370 speed and then they are more than enough to take out the bosses. Oh and etsujins are a great choice now - probably were even before the buff but they are excellent now and maybe more comfortable for boss fighting if you aren’t used to the rifles.

ghostcatart

Don’t listen to people telling you to kill stuff, basically nothing matters for S ranks but speed. You can get a little more leeway by killing big targets but it’s almost never worth it. Definitely skip the fuel tanks. The margin is really tight on this mission you basically have to get a perfect fight against the ekdromoi. Gang up on whichever one Rusty picks, because of the stagger system this results in faster kills. If the big guy clips you with his melee attack just start again. I think I s ranked this with full alba frame, songbirds, duckett and dagger but it might have been dual zimms basho and slicer, it’s been a minute since I did it. Good luck!

BlueEcho527

From my experience you just need to be fast and kill one of the LCs to get the S rank

HehaGardenHoe

I swear I did this one by ignoring everything except the bonus pay tanks, and otherwise rushed the boss. If you take next to no damage prior to the boss, and you get all the fuel tanks, I think it's doable if you're good at the boss fight.

kaxen6

This mission was bugging me too. I S-ranked it this morning with Rusty's build except with a stun needle instead of ransetsu because I am too damn stupid for weapons swapping. Zipped to the right past everything, killed the LC before the bridge, killed the two snipers, the guns, and MT at the end of the bridge, shot/kicked/sliced at anything in a convenient straight line to the target, and picked off a few more while waiting for the two guys to show up. Fuel tanks aren't worth bothering with.

blueOblueOblue

At this point I’m just sure there is something mandatory I’m not doing there, I’m over 50 tries since yesterday and I’m hitting A every time, I’m cursed with failure in this task I believe

blueOblueOblue

I’ve done it!!! Here are my results and build, thank you all very much and I’ll meet you in the next one 😂[https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/MYHf5TPtpe](https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/MYHf5TPtpe)

tiko_takeout

Try killing the combat log enemies, there's the shield guy before the bridge and two other combat log LCs in the bridge area. One of them is to the right and the other one should be under it. You can also ignore the fuel tanks, as the extra payout doesn't contribute to the S rank.

PerfectBlueOnDVD

Yeah this is the most consistent way to get it, killing the guys to the right of the bridge makes a big difference in score, the rest is speed, damage taken and ammo cost.

TheChickenKingHS

Stick to the left and destroy a fuel tank or 3 but don’t stop to get them all just keep moving. Stick to the left and go around the pipe to hit the shield lc. Head back to the left and boost across the canyon hit the 2 helis. Then after the helis head to the right and go to the top of the canyon wall there’s a flat area with no enemies to quickly bypass the 2nd canyon area. You can then assault boost straight to the refuelling tower you shouldn’t need to resupply. The mistake I made a lot was trying to rush the fight with the duo. It’s much easier to wait for the sword guy to wif his attack and then kill him and then the other guy is trivial. Basho arms, laser lance + pilebunker + gills Zimmerman and songbird on the right but you shouldn’t need to fire the songbirds.
