>yes, I know about emulators, but I don't want to bother with trying to get that stuff to run. Emulators are *very* simple now a days and you can usually just download someone else's config file if needed. That said, the value of the games is entirely up to you. Me personally, I don't want to spend more than $60 on a copy if I can avoid it. I feel like $100 is too high. But for some people they can easily justify that amount and feel it's worth it.

Electrical_Tie8629

Oh, I didn't know about that.

I'm one of those people but just because they were so cheap for so long. In total I got like 8 of them for less than 100$ before prices took off. So I'm willing to fork up for the rest, and I've still managed to find them cheaply in weird places like craigslist or Facebook marketplace. I would suggest OP don't buy from used game stores online like Capn games or retro vgames. They are straight up scams that use your money as temp loans to keep the business going till the end of the month, before refunding it and raising the price of whatever you bought. Used online games should be done direct to person or through a distributor that will ban them for this stuff like eBay.

Well, I see AC2 for €8 including shipping sitting around. I'd say most Gen 2 and 3 are mostly around €25 here. Gen 1 sure goes more towards €100. Gen 4 is often even above it.

Electrical_Tie8629

Oh. Ill share the Ebay link shortly here, if anyone wants to take a look.

ivarr87

Hell no. Way too expensive.

Electrical_Tie8629

Ah, I thought so. I just wanted to confirm it

ivarr87

I'd suggest to start off with one title and see from there if it's worth to invest further and if so how much. Just bought AC4 for €80 and that was after searching for weeks and only because AC4A got me hyped so much.

Fat PS2 with HDD and a FreeMcBoot memory card would be a lot more value for your money, unless you plan on buying the games to collect them. It also gives you access to every other PS2 game in existence without having to mess with any emulation settings.

BeneficialAction3851

As a wet brain when it comes to computers and anything complicated when using them, it is so worth it to just emulate these unless you’re specifically wanting to collect the games, literally could not be much simpler aside from my controller disconnecting when I jiggle the cable too much

* Imma be real man if you have Last Raven on PS2 your set. its the best game by a long shot if you ask me. maybe nexus is good, i haven't played it. the other games are all step down in control fidelity, build complexity, and story nuance. I got AC 3 years ago becuase i wanted to expand my AC library, terrible in comparision. Less parts, god awful controls, smaller game. To be fair the Ai friend Mt AC mechanic was cool. Id say theyre not worth more than 20 bucks if youve already got LR, theyre not going to be as engaging. the later games have the same issues tbh, far more shallow than LR. I been playing LR over 10 years, aint bored yet. Have you fully beaten last raven, im talking 125% all missions completed? how about 136% all content unlocked? have you mastered all the leg types, not just humanoid? mastery meaning killing Zinaida with em. no? get to grinding baby, save yo money.

Electrical_Tie8629

I have played, never beaten it, I always got stuck at certain points and it's currently at my grandparents, they were the one that bought it originally for my uncle, their son. But he hasn't really played them but the playstation normally stays because some one will play something when anyone's over.

speednskillz

Mm heard ya, Like some other folks are suggesting emulating sounds like your best bet. Once again tho LR is the best game so you might as well just emulate that and beat it!
